Thank you to NetGalley for putting together a fun opportunity for its users to explore books in a fun way during the peak summer month of July.
Activities include a July reading Bingo, utilizing their fun-formatted reading journal to track progress, and participating in a way to earn a new badge for those NetGalley badge collectors out there! This is a fun way to spice up one's summer reading challenge.
While there are featured books from the sponsors of the Camp NetGalley event, one way to spice things up for next year to be a "Read Now" challenge list, where readers pick at least one book from a special given "Read Now" list for the event and then submit THAT review for their badge. It's more challenging, but could also be more rewarding.
This is a really cool way to be engaged with reading during summer! Thank you again, NetGalley!
I’m really excited for this. As a teacher, Summer is when I am able to really dig into reading, so the timing is perfect. The Bingo board looks fun and achievable. I am also a huge lover of scavenger hunts!
I don’t have anything to add for the Camp NetGalley experience. I wish it didn’t count as an official review, but I’m glad it positively affects my percentage. I do like the addition of the stamp. I would prefer in the future to have it as a separate widget or subsection instead of an official review. This otherwise seems like a fun event and I have loved using NetGalley these past few years.
This looks like it could be a lot of fun! I can't wait to see what it's all about and see how it plays out here.
This summer NetGalley challenge looks so fun! I am so excited to participate! It includes a bingo board, social media scavenger hunts, stickers, badge, and talent show. Just like summer camp when I was a kid!
My review of Icon and Inferno by Marie Lu.

What a fun summer activity book to keep us engaged in reviewing.
Cute graphics, easy to read, and very clear.
Thanks Netgalley for this camp netgalley welcome packet! This is such a fun concept and an interactive way to expand my books this summer! I love the bingo board and can’t wait to see what is next!
This will be my first time trying to Participate in this event.
This book for the event was very easy to use and read. I'm enjoyable. Hoping to have tons of fun. And maybe even signed new authors and books to read and look for.
Thank you Netgalley! This is such a fun concept! I will definitely be participating and the bingo board has some fun prompts that i can’t wait to try out.
Super fun concept! The welcome packet is very clear and made me super excited to participate to earn the badge!
This is such a fun idea for the book community. I will definitely participate. Thanks again NetGalley.
I am so excited to complete Camp NetGalley! I have shared the link to a recent review I did for an upcoming release, Given Our History.
This is such a fun way to get this community connected! I can’t wait to participate, and I’m so excited for all the future NetGalley Camps!
Maybe a fun idea in the future would be to have a few featured books that are “read now” that can be read and discussed for a special badge!
I love this idea! This is my first year participating and I love anything that brings me closer together with the book community. I love the Bingo board because I love a good challenge that will make me read books outside of genres/authors/tropes that I usually read a lot of.
A few ideas for the future might be to put together a discord server to chat about books and do readalongs for new releases or other titles that are available for request on NetGalley.
I wish to not participate anymore. Looks like fun but just not for me at this time. This won’t let me remove it from my shelves without a review.
What a fun tool to have access to! I have years of journals collecting quotes. My blog is titled Memories from Books, and it is just that. I am a reader. Always have been. I don't remember a time in my life that I did not have a book in hand and several to be read. The more I read, the more books I discover to read. Some I read and remember. Some I read and forget. That is how my blog started. I started writing book reviews – to keep my memories of the books I have read. Then I discovered NetGalley which is a virtual treasure trove for a reader! This journal provides another way to gather those memories. I love being part of this community.
If only Camp NetGalley could be a real place full of readers and cozy places in which to read all day! The stuff of dreams!
The link below is to my reviews of some of my favorite books... the books that left the biggest impact.
I love this idea of Camp NetGalley! It’s an excellent way to make arc reading more fun! I think the activities will be fun and can’t wait to participate!
What a fun activity! I love book challenges, and I love NetGalley, what could be better? This is a really well thought-out challenge and a wonderful way to make us all feel closer to the NetGalley community.
I am so pleased and proud to be a NetGalley reviewer and I really appreciate the care NetGalley has given all of us. These special initiatives make me want to continue to contribute to NetGalley for a long time to come,
