The Camp NetGalley Welcome Packet is a short 9 page document with fun activities to participate in from July 1st to July 31st. It was well done and super cute! I enjoyed participating in the activities! The only feedback or suggestion I would have is to have daily emails or reminders throughout the month for participants to participate. I occasionally saw things on social media from NetGalley but in most cases I had to actively look for them. I also would forget to go and look! I loved this idea and I can’t wait to see it more fleshed out next year. I certainly hope this can be geared more towards video platforms like TikTok and YouTube next year as it seemed to have more of an instagram feel to it. Thank you NetGalley for putting this on and I hope to go back to camp again next year!!

Love the welcome packet! It was fun! Can't wait to do this again. Highly recommend NetGalley as always.

I thought this was so fun! I think for next year you could do like a scavenger hunt around NetGalley. Like you put little widgets in places and hide them. Maybe it’s like little books that have been on NetGalley in the or are currently on NetGalley. I think that would be really fun. But you actually have to like go browse NetGalley to find them all.

Tropes:
- Writers
-Enemies to lovers
- Grumpy/sunshine
-Slow burn
-Book stores
-Spice is nice
-He falls first mostly

Good read, a little secondhand embarrassment at times and immature but other than those, Rosie and Aiden didn’t fall into the often there miscommunication trope so that was great to see!

I loved this. Reading is best when shared and this allowed all of us to do just that in participating in a shared activity that was so fun and motivating! Please do again seasonally throughout the year! LOVED IT.

Camp Netgalley! What a fun virtual marketing nerd-out idea. If only it was an actual glamp where I could read all day! Sigh.

The activities looked fun and well-thought out. I printed the welcome packet so I could have the bingo card. Maybe some summer camp reading recs next time that fit the categories on the card? Printable bookmarks? Photo scavenger hunt or posting board of books in the wild? Special "Read Nows" for Campers only? A Camp Netgalley page built out with specially curated books to review, fun graphics etc. If any of this was included, I missed it.

Can't wait to see what Camp Netgalley offers next year!

Thanks for the fun!

I don't know if Kristin Hannah can do wrong. If she writes it, I am reading it. I felt every emotion reading this book. I went from sadness to anger in pages. Beautifully written. Loved that she brought attention to the women and their sacrifices and traumas from the Vietnam War.

I loved the thought put behind this experience!

The bingo card was my favorite - allowing readers to choose their own bingo pieces and how they wanted to create a bingo, while also providing thoughtful options was a great idea!

I will definitely participate with my nephews and godchildren next year - hopefully this will encourage them to read more during the summer.

I also enjoyed the stickers and printable pdf to really immerse children (and adults) in the experience.

Well done!

Abby Jimenez can truly do NO wrong in my mind all of the thoughtful moments her characters have and the way that they grow and mature is just incredible.

🎧 Icebreaker | @hannahgraceauthor

Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4/5
Genre: Sports Romance
Publication: August 23, 2022

Summary: It looks like everything is going according to plan when Anastasia Allen gets a full scholarship to the University of California, Maple Hills, and lands a place on their competitive figure skating team.

Nate’s focus as team captain is on keeping his team on the ice. Which is tricky when a facilities mishap means they are forced to share a rink with the figure skating team—including Anastasia, who clearly can’t stand him. But when Anastasia’s skating partner faces an uncertain future, she may have to look to Nate to take her shot.

My Thoughts: I haven’t felt chemistry between two people in a book like this in a long time! I enjoyed the slow burn romance and was all for Anastasia letting her walls down with Nate.

I loved the playful dynamic between their friend groups and the spice level in this book was pretty dang high. What I did not enjoy was the length. This book could easily have been 100 pages shorter, and I probably would have loved it more.

For Readers Who Like:
- Dual POV
- Spicy romance
- College sports

Fun addition to help motivate my summer reading for my NetGalley list! Would love this to become a yearly activity!

Camp NetGalley was such a fun, bookish way to celebrate summer reading. I loved the theming (how cute is that badge?!); it made me feel like I was truly heading off for camp in the piney woods. Summer always gives me a surge of energy to read anything and everything, and the bingo card encouraged me to focus my efforts on reading some new authors and clean up my NetGalley shelf.

Seriously - please do this again next year! I would love to see more challenges (maybe daily tasks?) and greater integration with social media. Instagram story templates would be super fun. I think a weekly email to participants would also help with momentum because, you know, summer can be a bit busy! Overall, I had a blast. Thanks, NetGalley!

Such a fun concept! I loved playing along and watching others do so too. This should be a yearly event now!

I enjoyed participating in this camp. It really helped jump start my summer reading and keep me working towards my reading goals! I have attached my review for an audiobook I read that has designated with me and I feel most powerful about!

Fun addition to help motivate my summer reading for my NetGalley list. The packet was a cool add-on to the reading journal that was available to us a while back. Didn't get to participate or complete all the activities this year but would definitely love to see it again next year!

I had so much fun with this challenge! It pushed my comfort zone, and filling the bingo board was a blast!

I think this was a great idea. I would like to see more of these campaigns from NetGalley, especially one for Halloween. I thought the directions and tasks could have beds a bit easier to follow. But overall it is a great community building activity and gives fun goals to work towards.

I've absolutely loved taking part in the 2024 Camp Netgalley. As someone who grew up in the UK in the 90s, I loved the Summer Reading challenge that was hosted by the local library and Camp Netgalley gave me all the fuzzy nostalgic vibes.

I really enjoyed the bookish bingo as it allowed me to keep on track with my reading goals. I especially loved the scavenger hunt as it reminded me of all the good books I have left to read year. Camp Netgalley also inspired me to set my own bookish craft challenge, and I've been painting book edges for the last few weeks.

In terms of ideas for future campaigns, I would love a 12 days of Christmas/Advent themed campaign!

A recent review I am most proud of is the review for The Lost Story. I LOVED this book and being from WV I had a few things to say about the representation in the book.
