I think this was a great idea. I would like to see more of these campaigns from NetGalley, especially one for Halloween. I thought the directions and tasks could have beds a bit easier to follow. But overall it is a great community building activity and gives fun goals to work towards.
I've absolutely loved taking part in the 2024 Camp Netgalley. As someone who grew up in the UK in the 90s, I loved the Summer Reading challenge that was hosted by the local library and Camp Netgalley gave me all the fuzzy nostalgic vibes.
I really enjoyed the bookish bingo as it allowed me to keep on track with my reading goals. I especially loved the scavenger hunt as it reminded me of all the good books I have left to read year. Camp Netgalley also inspired me to set my own bookish craft challenge, and I've been painting book edges for the last few weeks.
In terms of ideas for future campaigns, I would love a 12 days of Christmas/Advent themed campaign!
For the talent show, please find linked by review of Next To You, one of my favourite reads in 2024.
A recent review I am most proud of is the review for The Lost Story. I LOVED this book and being from WV I had a few things to say about the representation in the book.

I loved this book from start to finish! It starts with quite a bang and keeps throwing twists and turns throughout. I could tell as I listened that this was going to be a favorite book for me (So be prepared for some gushing coming)!
The plot itself is just so unique from anything I’ve ever read. Truly a good book to read if you feel like you’re stuck in a rut reading the same books with different words. This one is so creative and the writing is beautiful! Imagine you’ve witnessed a crime committed by someone you love, but every time you wake up, you’re farther and farther in the past. Cool idea, right?
Something super clever that @gillianmauthor did as well was debunk tons of different time travel theories by the FMC herself. She tries so many ideas to break the cycle of moving backwards in time, and I thought it was so well crafted to avoid plot holes.
But what REALLY made me love this book and made it a SOLID five star read was the family dynamics. As a mom, any book about a relationship with a mother and her child (or children) is always impactful, but this one was insanely beautiful and I wasn’t expecting it from a thriller. I teared up multiple times at the tender moments, and I loved seeing the fierce determination of a mom doing anything to her son.
The audiobook was a joy to listen to, and I felt like the narrator did a fantastic job keeping me in the story. She did a great job with her character voices, too, and I found the narration soothing and easy to focus on.
This will be a book I will recommend to everyone! I never recommend books to my husband, but he’s actually going to listen to this one. 🤭 It’s one of my new favorites and I will probably end up rereading it (which never happens!).
This sounds fun! Of course I need another reason to read more! I am slightly confused on how to submit things and how the bingo works but I love reading ARCs and especially for indie authors! Shared my review that got an orange pencil!
Camp NetGalley was a blast! The bingo was really fun and interacting with other NetGalley members made it a really special thing. Sometimes NetGalley seems so separate from the social community so it was nice to bring the two together. More games would have made it even more fun - maybe a daily challenge or something? And you should totally grab the Camp NetGalley handle and let people interact there! Or even an evergreen NetGalley Games page where users can interact on a more intimate level while playing. You could do challenges all throughout the year! Definitely a fun new addition to the NetGalley community and I look forward to what gams you come up with for us next! Thanks for having me at camp!
Hooray for Camp NetGalley! Please see my linked review for Here One Moment. Liane Moriarity’s latest was truly gripping, and I can’t wait for it to be released this fall!
I didn’t really understand the purpose of this. I did read books on NetGalley though but posting links from social media reviews.
Wow! I’m so here for the summer camp vibes that are showing up this year! I am grateful to Netgalley for their ongoing commitment to engagement and educational activities for our community, keeping it fun and fresh. I especially appreciate activities like this. Well done Netgalley, keep it coming!!
I thought Camp NetGalley was a fun little reading challenge/activity for the summer! I read a lot anyway, so may as well have some fun with it to earn a badge.
I absolutely loved everything about Camp NetGalley! This was such a fun summer project & I would love to do this again!!
I thought camp NetGalley was fun. It was a way to keep a focus on reading and reviewing books this summer, but make it a little extra by interacting with others in the NetGalley community. It would be cool if there was a dedicated IG/social media platform for it, so we could all interact on there.
Looking forward to participating next summer if they do it again!
I was so excited to join camp! I love the way this brought the book community together. Summers are hard because life is even more chaotic with the kids home.
For my first camp netgalley, this was a blast! My favorite thing was the bingo board, it was a lot of fun to do it with friends. I wasn't huge on the scavenger hunt format, I felt like a list at the beginning would have made it a bit more efficient for those who are on vacation or traveling. For next year, I would love to see some more games, since bingo isn't something that gets posted every day. Posiibly some quick mini games would be great! Thank you so much for putting this on!
It was definitely a fun challenge and would love to see more in the future. I also liked that certain books would be suggested or could be instantly read.
This was such a fun concept for summer! A great combination of summer nostalgia and book-ish fun. I'm already looking forward to next year :)
Camp NetGalley 2024 was an exciting virtual event with weekly activities like Bingo, scavenger hunts, and a Talent Show for book reviews. Even though I couldn't participate, I thought it was awesome 🌟. The event felt like a real camp with fun tasks, exclusive stickers, and the chance to earn a special badge 🏅. Sharing experiences on social media helped create a strong community vibe 📱. Overall, it was a fantastic summer event, and I plan to join next year! 💖📖

Here’s a review I’m very proud of. Thanks so much for this opportunity.
I loved the concept of this, but sadly just didn't have the time this summer to fully participate as much as I wanted to.
Had lots of fun at Camp Netgalley!! Thought the instructions were a little confusing, but hope I met the requirements.
