I really enjoyed participating in Camp NetGalley this month. What a fun activity and way for members to stay engaged. Bingo was my favorite activity, but I really did enjoy everything. I really liked collecting stickers for the reading journal - so fun! I hope there is something like this in the wintertime as well - as it could help with the doldrums for sure. Next year, I’d love to see something like completing a number of tasks to receive the badge (maybe like - do something out of your comfort zone, like posting a video review for your next ARC!).

This was such a unique way to spend the summer on NetGalley. I think it brought so many people together. I wish it was a little more manageable
On the website since I don't use the app very much. Or maybe a hide and seek situation where we can search for a book. I have no idea. But it is really fun!

This is such a fun idea and I wish I had more time to devote to it. I got started with it but got busy with summer things and sort of dropped away. I loved playing bingo. I do think if I had a few more ARCs on my shelf it would have been more of a focus for me.
But! I will look forward to trying again next summer!

I love the Camp NetGalley packet!! Fun challenges and the bingo is great!! I’d love to see more activity packets in the future!

Thank you to NetGalley and We Are Bookish for the opportunity to check this out in exchange for my honest review!

This is a fun concept to gather like minded readers and to advocate reading in general.

It would have been better if there were email alerts to remind participants of the various activities/tasks outside of the site (though that might be a generational thing, as I'm not on many of the popular social media platforms) nor am I as extroverted as I should be in participating in the various activities.

Nevertheless, I'm sure it'll be a success and a start of a great new program!

This was fun. I really enjoyed the diversity on the bingo card and all of the fun activities. I wish it had been better advertized, I found it late in the month and didn't have time to the activities but I've saved them for another time.

I appreciate NetGalley's effort to create engaging activities, but I didn't understand how to participate in this. Each week was supposed to have additional downloads - no idea where those are accessed. Fun idea!

I think this is a really great idea, and a great program. However, I am still new to NetGalley and I am slightly confused. The Welcome Packet contains fun things, but I am also quite lost on where to proceed from here. I will do my best to figure it out, but could use slightly more clear direction.

I thought the whole summer camp theme was really cute! I also love that it's self-paced and the amount of participation needed is completely up to each person - life got really busy this month for me. I love some friendly competition so review challenges are always a good time for future activities.

Camp NetGalley feels like Netgalley finally heard us and saw all of us, and how we participate in social media, and took note of how to improve engagement. It's a similar idea to Booksparks Summer Reading challenges, captures the clever bingo cards that we all use on Instagram, and provided realistic challenges for hitting reading targets that some of us longtime Netgalley users rarely show we can do. Raise your hand if you've got too many books to read haha.

I would love to see this return in the future, with maybe even some social media downloadable graphics to use on Instastories or the like. Something like this could really connect the NG community in a way that the website doesn't allow for.

This was a great summer project! Camp NetGalley helped me get out of a reading and reviewing slump with it's challenges. I look forward to more of these types of NetGalley books/packets.

The pack is really good and has a lot of fun activities. Only downside is the short window, and this would make a brilliant over the summer event./activity.

This idea is super cute! I had every intention of participating but life events have made the month of July a bit of a challenge. I really hope to be able to participate next year. I love that it is all virtual but having a way to make it more tactile would be nice. Like an option to print the bingo board maybe? I'm all for ebook and similar formats but somethings are just more fun when i can slap an actual sticker on it. Thank you

Things I loved:
> Ease of access of information/instructions and various activities
> Welcome packet (generally)
> Themeing (camp!! so cute!)
> Increased engagement on socials
> Increased adoption through main site
> Increased adoption of app

Things I think could be better:
> Audience and/or messaging refinement: the activities and execution of the themeing felt very childlike, which is really fun, but isn't my vibe as a 30-year old woman. I think NG has a lot of different audiences, and there could be either be better segmentation (something like this focused on young/young-at-heart readers, vs. something a little more mature-feeling for those who may not engage with cartoon vibes), or a better assessment of the audience to refine messaging. (This is just me! But I chatted with a slew of bookish friends, incl booksellers and influencers, who all opted out of participating because it looked "young" and "childish")

I love this idea! I wish it spanned the entire summer (maybe mid-late June through early August?) so that there’s more time to do everything. I had a lot of stuff come up so I didn’t get to be super involved.
