I loved the Camp NetGalley Welcome Packet. It was fun and interactive. Loved the Summer Camp theme and bookish stickers, as well as the Bingo. When I tagged Camp NetGalley on Instagram, other NetGalley campers could see my posts and I could see theirs as well. So it was great to connect with other Campers. I live in South Africa, so it's winter here now, so my reading spot pics were indoors. So for readers in the southern hemisphere, for next year's Bingo, could the request be for a summer/winter reading spot, depending where you are in the world. Then I would be able to take a photo of my reading spot at the window of a coffee shop with the rain coming down outside, or at a table with my hot chocolate and marshmallows. Otherwise I enjoyed the Camp activities. The book review that I am most proud of is for the book Such a Good Family by Caitlin Weaver. Left a review on Netgalley and my j9bookstash Instagram page and Goodreads.

I really loved this idea from NetGalley! I ended up not reading as many books as I was hoping, but still found this idea to be so fun, and I do hope Netgalley continues to do challenges/activities like this one!!

This was fun!! I really liked the activities! Not sure what I would add for future iterations though!

I love the concept of Camp NetGalley as it brings eARC readers together in fun ways. The bingo and scavenger hunt ideas were really cute and I saw lots of participation with the story templates of campers and counselors. I liked the flexibility of activities and how participation wasn't required in everything as life often gets in the way and having to do too many tasks can take the fun out of reading. I can't think of anything that would make the experience better from my point of view, but I can't wait to see what y'all come up with for next year!

Ok what a fun thing to do this summer for netgalley! I think it would have been fun to have been more involved like if there was a facebook group or something where we could share and hype each other up too!

This was sucha fun activity to do during my summer break! I loved the different activities that were provided. Activities like this would be great to do either next year or throughout the year. I absolutely loved this idea!

I have really enjoyed participating in Camp NetGalley! I love the bingo prompts and the template that can be easily shared on Instagram. The weekly prompts were also fun. I like that the bingo prompts were available for times when maybe the weekly ones weren't applicable. Mixed in with the fun was also the helpful revised TookKit. Overall, this was a fun experience and I'm looking forward to a new camping experience next summer with fun prompts and easy to update templates.

This was a fun activity and I enjoyed doing it.

The idea of the talent show is fun and I love the idea of seeing everyone's examples of good reviews. I'm particularly interested to see which books everyone likes!

The bingo game was fun but since it was a pdf, I lost my marks every time I shut down my laptop and I was sad to not be able to send it to my Kindle. I never figured out how to use the stickers, sadly.

Thanks for the little extras for the reviewers; it was fun!

I have been on NetGalley a long time.

I have taken part in Camp NaNoWriMo and have various drafts of books I finished thanks to voice dictation, I was happy to find Camp NetGalley when I logged into my NetGalley account. I love challenges.

The Camp NetGalley Welcome Packet explains the challenge rules in a quick, yet fun and informative way. It has links to stickers, a challenge-related bingo card and other resources.

A good guide for anyone who loves challenges, whether you've been on NetGalley long or not.

My favourite things about Camp NetGalley were the variety of activities and how it was focused on enjoying books and sharing progress. It had a lot of good summer vibes. I loved the summer stickers and the Reading Journal. The Scavenger Hunt was fun, as was the bingo. There was so much to take part in. I loved sharing the Scavenger Hunt and other posts on Twitter.

My ideas for next year are:
A Favourite book challenge. Read or listen to a favourite book every day for a week.
A Book of The Week: Pick from a selection of books each week

My sugggestion would be for the Welcome Packet to be formatted so people can record their progress and more directly onto the sheet by using dictation. I am aperson with disabilities and this would help a lot as I use voice dictation.

Thanks to We Are Bookish for my copy of the Camp NetGalley Welcome Packet in exchange for an honest and voluntary review.

5 stars.

I had fun taking part in the Camp NetGalley summer challenges. they made reading through my TBR even more exciting.

my review i would showcase is for she who knows by nnedi okorafor
Although this book is the backstory of a character from the book 'Who Fears Death' which I have not read, this story stands alone. Okorafor has a way of writing characters and worlds were you all teleported into the story and they pack so much into the short amount of pages. I immediately loved our main character Najeeba and the story of her joining her father and brothers to go to the salt path. This tale tackles topics like gender norms and finding your place in the world, but still remains effortlessly magical. Okorafor can do no wrong, they are an author that every time I pick up I know I am in for a great story told flawlessly.

I have just completed my first Camp NetGalley, and I can't wait for next year!

This welcome packet, is bright, fun and includes everything for your stay at camp. The best thing about it, is you are not obliged to participate in everything, yet you are still made to feel welcome! Full of like-minded campers, and an opportunity to raise your NG ratio, what’s not to love!

Next year, it would be great if we had a bit of warning that this was coming up so campers could plan for Camp. Also maybe a buddy read section, or read-a-long night would be fun.

Overall, I have had a blast this month, and will definitely be look out for next years events!!

What a fun idea, loving the design of the pack! I couldn't wait to download and give it a read - see what the plan is for the month...and it did not disappoint. Looking forward to the bingo and taking myself out of my reading comfort zone. Also looking forward to following the scavenger hunt!

Looking forward to being a member of Camp NetGalley - what a great way to bring together the community with the added bonus of games and stickers :)

I think camp netgalley is a great idea! And I appreciate that the talent contest is any review you've written, that you're proud of, no matter if it originally was on netgalley or not.
Ways to improve for next year: have participants actually receive a bookish tote. I'd carry it about town! Think of all the advertising you'd get!

Edited:below is my link for my submission for the talent show.

I like this idea of helping people get through some summer reading. July is an especially hard month for me and I wish I had downloaded this sooner to participate a little more fully. To that end, I wish there had been a better explanation that there were weekly tasks. The front page says that you can join any time in July so I didn't jump right in.
Would be fun to do a virtual call or have a collaboration center where people can talk about what books they are using for Bingo. Also, and hear me out, Prizes.

Was never sure how to use this. Seems like a good idea for interaction and guided creativity, but it also never really made sense to me.

I really enjoyed camp netgalley. It has a lot of fun little events to do during the event. It would be fun if there were a little more little tasks to do next year, like more book related events.
