I enjoyed the concept of camp netgalley and seeing everyone else who was participating in it an having fun! Unfortunately I wasn't able to participate as much as I wanted due to life happening, but I really liked the bingo concept and thought that it was fun! I will say that some of the goals would be really hard to accomplish if a person reads more slowly so maybe incorporating more general tiles like 'make a list of your favorite genre books' or just other goals that you don't have to finish an entire book for.
For the talent show I'm submitting one of the first reviews I ever wrote on netgalley! IT got featured on the Netgalley page for that book and got featured in one of the author's social media posts!
Camp NetGalley was fun and an engaging activity for July. I look forward to enjoying it again and more packets.
I greatly enjoyed Camp NetGalley. I enjoyed the encouragement to participate through weekly activities, however, it might have been more enjoyable had there been more of an incentive to participate or way’s to share with others like we would in an actual camp setting. Yes social media is helpful, but connecting with others through NetGalley would be a way for us to utilize the platform or learn more about NetGalley & how we can grow as reviewers. Something that would be enjoyable next year, would be to include discussions or panels to open dialogue with other reviewers.
For my talent show, I wanted to provide my first review. Even if it was very simple & different from my current reviews, I like to reflect on how I have grown, not only as a reader/audiobook listener, but in my experiences with books & how I can connect with others through my experiences with a novel I have finished.
Thank you for doing this! It's so fun :) Because this needs to be at least 100 characters in order to submit and not have it on my shelves and making me stressed, I'm going to keep typing for a little bit. Yay Books!
Hello! I was so excited about this and honestly, I kind of forgot until I reviewed my shelf. Maybe I'm not following the right people, but maybe proactively reaching out to some prominent bookstagrammers and asking them to advocate for this event and post about it frequently will help draw attention and motivate others to participate as well!
I love the idea of any sort of bookish community, though. What a great idea!
This was so cute, I’m so glad I downloaded it. It’s been a really fun activity this summer, and I can’t wait to continue on my “summer camp” journey. Thank you!
I loved the premise of this event! The Bingo challenge was fun to engage with and I enjoyed getting involved.
One review I am proud of is: https://www.netgalley.com/book/307779/review/1333865
This was such a fun idea, and I liked that the PDF had pretty much everything you needed to join. It was nice to have different activities to do as well so that you can participate at the level you're able. I am excited, too, that there's a new badge to add to my profile. I would totally participate in future events to get exclusive badges or ones that you can earn at different times.
Camp NetGalley is such a fun way to incorporate more NetGalley engagement with a fun summer theme we all love!
I was intrigued by the cute welcome packet that was well designed with simple instructions.
I love that there's a fun badge you can earn, you get to learn more about NetGalley and even boost your ratio rating all at the same time.
I enjoyed it and I hope they keep these same features for next year!
Super fun and cute file by NetGalley! I downloaded this straight to my iPad and had the most fun going through it and making it my own on Goodnotes
So much fun! I didn't participate as much as I'd hoped/wanted to but I hope camp will be back next year! And maybe a Winter Fest? Or Spring Fling? Love it!
This is such a fun concept, it will give the community the bust to enjoy some summer readings and I'm having so much fun with the bingo.
This is such a fun idea! I love that it's Camp themed, very Summer appropriate. It will mostly be appealing for people who want to share it on Instagram, but it gives different prompts and ideas to create bookish content.
I loved doing the camp this year its been so fun to try and fit books that are "camp themed" Net galley provided some great prompts and fun templates to share with my audience. I would love to see more of those next year with a verity of different color scheme to correlate camp vibes. I would like to suggest a bingo or some sort of tally to keep track of the type of camp books I've read or maybe a place where you can see and chat with others who are participating and chat with them about their reads.
I thought that this was an amazing opportunity to do and so creative. I loved the format of how it was set up and that it was interactive in technology and non-tech pieces. I appreciated the BINGO portion of the challenge. This was a challenge to me to be able to use the social channels and network and connect with others. I think that the engagement on Instagram and social media was also thought through and helpful. I would totally do this again next year.
I am not sure what I would change moving forward for next year.
The review that I am most proud of is Lisa Wingate's Shelterwood review from this year:

Thank you Camp NetGalley!
This was not user friendly but cute to see. This needs to be more user friendly to promote it. Great idea on socials but not easy to manipulate and use in socials.
This looks like a fun idea, but pretty much all the activities seem to be geared towards posting on Instagram--which I don't have and have no desire to get. Honestly... it's a little hokey over all. Things like Camp NaNoWriMo work a lot better because the host website is formatted to automatically badge the events, as well being designed with forums and friend functions. Given that most of these activities take place on secondary sites like Instagram or Twitter.... it's just messy and disconnected. It's a good idea, but needs a lot more infrastructure to work properly.
Very helpful! Everyone on netgalley should download this! I love it and highly recommend. Everything you need and all the information necessary.
I love summer reading challenges, and this packet from NetGalley is a fun way to tackle ARCs awaiting feedback.
I especially enjoy the bingo board...who does not love to play bingo? It's a good way too to read books on topics that may not necessarily be my go-to choices.
Fabulous!
I really enjoyed having this as a fun little summer reading activity for the month of July. I definitely paired this with Summerween and had a very successful month this month.
