This is such a great concept. I enjoyed the packet and look forward to some of the weekly games and trying to complete the Bingo board.
There is so much potential to expand this and really make it something that people look forward to every summer.
I would love to see a group or online community where people who participate can share their progress and interact with each other.
Thank you for providing this for us to enjoy during the middle of summer when it’s too hot out to do anything other than read!
I love anything that gives me a way to see what others are reading. This is more of a visual and in your face way to say “hey everyone I’m reading this, what are you reading?” And who doesn’t love being able to feel accomplished after finishing a reading prompt! I really love this idea and hope it happens in different forms throughout the year
Camp Netgalley is such a fun idea! I miss participating in the summer reading challenges my library had when I was little, this event is giving me the same vibes.
I hope this becomes an annual or seasonal thing!
I love the badge idea, more badges please! There aren't many opportunities to get new ones.
I don't really use social media enough to participate in that aspect.
Camp NetGalley is a such a great idea! I love anything bookish and this is a fun experience. I really hope NetGalley does this annually.
Fun ideas of bookish activities to participate in over the summer! It’s an adult boook camp! Much more fun than requires summer reading in school.
I love the idea!
I think I don't interact with the bookish community online enough to fully enjoy (though I *want* to!) This is encouraging me to post more on Instagram.
Camp NetGalley was a blast. I was sad to not be able to do all of it on time because of life (moving, family events etc) but even catching up late was a great addition to my summer.
I love the idea of this Camp NetGalley event. It's a great idea to bring together readers and promote net galley. I like the badge ideas and the stickers. It's very cute and campy! Ideas for next year would be mail out stickers instead or something tangible that promotes net galley.
The welcome packet is a lot! It is very informative and gave me a really great idea of what the NetGalley community is like. I certainly did not expect there to be so many activities and involvement. I honestly felt a bit overwhelmed, but that might just be me since I am not accustomed to big activities like this. The art is cohesive and definitely sets the summer mood.
I think this is a great way to get the community reading together and engaging about the books that are being read or going to be read. I would like to see something similar, although maybe on a smaller scale, done throughout the year for other various things (winter, holidays, spring?). Somehow tying in some polls to share with everyone to see which books people are most excited for (kinda like the cover love section in the newsletter). Overall, though I think this is really clever and I hope it's something that continues.
I've never done this before so don't currently have any feedback! I am enjoying figuring it out though!
I love the idea of a grown up book challenge for the summer. I can’t wait to dive in.
Everything looks so much fun Based on my initial read through. I also loved the bingo from the beginning. Here’s to a fun month
What a great idea for kicking up my summer reading. I have never done reading-related challenges before, but I found the Bingo in the welcome packet to be a great time. I'd love to see more reading challenge content in the next one! Additionally, I joined just in time for the scavenger hunt, and my inner child is feeling so giddy at bringing back joy and social connection to summer reading.
This was such a fun idea! I love how netgalley is trying to get everyone on this app involved in fun activities together.
I think that the BINGO was my favourite. I hope netgalley does more things like this in the future!
I really enjoyed camp netgalley! I thought the “bunks” was creative and would have loved to see more events/goals tied to the bunks and what you chose. I LOVED the bingo and the idea of submitting a review you’re proud of for a talent show.
This has been a fun learning experience for the the month of July. I really liked the bingo card suggestions
Love it! I am also so grateful for these fun activities to do. The Camp NetGalley welcome packet is fantastic. I hope that it is provided each year. Thanks, NetGalley!
Questo pacchetto di benvenuto spiega molto bene come verrà organizzato il Camp NetGalley, diviso per settimane e attività. Può essere un passatempo molto interessante per gli amanti dei libri.
This is a great idea but I didn’t find it to be user friendly. Maybe it’s just me. I thought it was an electronic guide but I can’t add my notes etc unless it’s printed.
Thanks so much, NetGalley, for this fun interactive way to celebrate summer reading by earning badges for our account. I think it's obvious that we all adore badges and ribbons and buttons - that's why so many of us talk about reaching those next tiers of reviews to get our 100, 200, 500, etc. badges.
With that in mind, my only suggestion for next year (or other future events) is MORE ways to earn MORE badges! Since they're a motivation and inspiration for us readers and reviewers, more badges are definitely an enticement that we strive to achieve.
