I am not a non-fiction person, and I am especially not a memoir/autobiography style person either. But I liked this one quite a bit.

I am afraid of aging, afraid of whether I am gonna be okay in the future or not terrifies me, but reading about someone's life from start to finish, about their ups and downs, can help put your own life into perspective. There is a beauty about aging that is just not talked about enough. Even when you do get older and the milestones become less and less, there is a sense of wonderfulness about celebrating the little things that come with aging.

I am rating this book 3 stars because, even though the story was interesting, I wanted more. I wanted more descriptions, more tales, more of everything. For someone who lived a long life, I would assume there would be more than 176 pages worth of content.

Thank you NetGalley and Rowman and Littlefield for providing me with this e-arc in exchange for a free, honest review.
