I always enjoy and have the authors books on pre-order, so I never miss one.
I was delighted to hear he would be writing his first psychology thriller.
This book is very different from his others and soon captured me into a gripping on the edge of my seat well written storyline and plot. It has strong characters and many a twist and turn, building up to that final explosive twisty conclusion.
The descriptive side is wonderful, and it enabled me to see in my mind eye the characters and story unfold.
I love to try and work out who it is, and I was convinced I was right in my suspensions, and I knew the author would undoubtedly have a twist in mind.
I was totally wrong and had been fooled by those clever twists and red herrings.
As for that final twist, I didn't see or expect that one coming .
This is a book not to be missed, and my thanks goes to the author for giving me a chance to read it.
This is my honest and unbiased review.

She’s here to teach my child, she wants to steal my life.
With a demanding role on TV Sophie decides she needs a little help with her family so her and her husband Scott decide to employ a tutor, Deanna, for their daughter. Is this a big mistake though as Sophie soon feels Deanne is growing too close to her family and she feels like she is being replaced.
I enjoyed this book and read it in less than 48 hours, the tension was just right and the story had me invested throughout. Thanks to @netgalley for the opportunity to read this book.

I loved this book. I M dalgleish is a great author and this book is so good.
I’ve been following and reading different series by this author and this book is a great addition

This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. Every twist felt perfectly timed, making for a heart-pounding, unforgettable read.

I love when a book gives lifetime movie vibes! I could see this book being a life time movie. Sophie has a great life, so great that someone may even want to steal it. When Sophie decides to higher Deanna to tutor her daughter, Katie, she thinks it’s a great idea. But things take a turn. Deanna is getting close to Scott, a little too close and her and Katie are keeping secrets. Deanna is on a mission to destroy Sophie’s life but Sophie won’t let that happen. It’s been so long since I’ve read a good thriller. This is one you can definitely read it a day! 10/10 would recommend this book!
Thank you NetGalley, J M , and Bookouture for the ARC!

Thank you to netgalley for allowing me to review this book. I loved this book ....it's definitely one of the best psychological thrillers I've read. It did however start slow but after a few chapters the action and tension builds up nicely with unexpected twist and turns that will keep you on your toes until the end. Fascinating story that will keep you up throughout the night if you start it too late. Will definitely read more from this author.

Sophie Beckett has the perfect life. Two children, beautiful home loving husband and a great job. But it’s all been sliding out of her control and as the wheels start to come off her life her husband employs tutor Deanna to help out.
This book kept me guessing, a real page turner that twisted and turned right to the end.

What a roller coaster! This one’s for all the domestic psychological suspense fans. It will keep you glued to the pages until the very end. While it shares some familiar elements with others in the genre, this book stands out with its fast pace and truly unexpected twists. A thrilling, can't-put-it-down read!

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC

I really enjoyed this domestic thriller. It had everything that I enjoy in a thriller - captivating characters, a good storyline, and a surprising reveal. I really liked the ending and how everything played out. It felt so justified and like sweet justice. These are my favorite types of storylines. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Homewrecker by J M Dalgliesh and narrated by Alison Campbell and Tamsin Kennard was an excellent and gripping psychological thriller with a brilliant twist that will have sitting on the edge of your seat, It was a fast paced book that will have your gripped from the beginning and you will find it hard to put the audiobook off or your kindle down. I loved this book, especially as it had brilliant twists and turns throughout with great characters. I really enjoyed this book and the narrators Alison Campbell and Tamsin Kennard were superb.

I found this book to be slow in places and some of the storyline didn’t make sense but it didn’t end the way I expected it to.
I found the character of Deanna to be annoying and vacuous and at times I didn’t understand her actions but it will pay off in the end.
Definitely a slow burn but the payoff at the end is worth it.:

The Homewrecker by J.M. Dalgliesh is a captivating psychological thriller that explores the complexities of love, betrayal, and the dark side of obsession. The novel follows the story of Alex, a seemingly perfect wife and mother who begins to unravel when she discovers her husband's infidelity.
As Alex delves deeper into her husband's affair, she becomes consumed by a desire for revenge. She embarks on a dangerous path, manipulating and deceiving those around her to get what she wants. The novel is filled with suspense and twists, keeping readers on the edge of their seats as Alex's actions escalate.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for a copy.
Was she a homewrecker or just a helpful person? I'll leave that for you to decide.
Honestly this was an unputdownable thriller. I was gobbling it up on all angles and sides. The thrills, the scares, the moments of truths, everything. I absolutely enjoyed reading this book.

I was left totally breathless by the end with a twist I did not see coming. J M Daigliesh is one of my favorite authors, he never fails to deliver but I think this has to be my number one now. I would highly recommend this but be ready for a book that you cannot put down.

What a roller coaster of emotion this book pulled out of me.
Homewrecker started a little slower than I prefer but it definitely picked up with intensity as it reached the major twists and turns.
Sophie has a wonderful husband, 2 children, and a successful broadcasting career. Life is perfect. Or is it? Sophie’s life begins to crumble before the readers eyes and we’re left trying to piece through it all.
The characters were the biggest issues for me in this book. I don’t think there was a single character I actually liked. Sophie was unreliable and high strung. Her husband was a gaslighting moron who had me constantly asking “why are men so stupid?” Deanna was also an annoying character I could not stand. The problem with having such unlikable characters is that it makes it more difficult to care about their outcomes. I was also left with some questions that I never felt were thoroughly addressed.
Overall, this was an easy and entertaining enough book to read but don’t expect to connect with any of the characters! Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this ARC.

I've read other books by this author and expected this one to be a cracker. I was a bit disappointed however,
The gaslighting of Sophie reached such a level that I felt like grabbing her by the collar and giving her a shake,
The ending, although a bit unexpected, was completely over the top and a trifle unbelievable to be sure,
I have read many books on the same or similar theme and didn't feel this one stood out above the rest.
Three stars

I absolutely loved this novel. I love a good domestic thriller and this one had me hooked until the very end. So many secrets, lies and deceit. Surely to have you gripped as you flip the pages. I look forward to more titles by this author.

This was very different to what I had been expecting. I really enjoyed it and it kept me hooked right to the very end. There were lots of twists and turns and I couldn't predict what was going to happen next. Very enjoyable!

In "Homewrecker," Sophie Beckett's seemingly idyllic life begins to unravel when her twelve-year-old daughter, Katie, encounters challenges at school. To assist Katie, Sophie and her husband, Scott, employ Deanna, a youthful and attractive tutor. However, as Deanna integrates into their lives, Sophie grows wary of her intentions. Although Deanna presents herself as a supportive figure, Sophie's observations reveal concerning behaviors that suggest possible ulterior motives.
Sophie grapples with feelings of maternal inadequacy and questions her choices. The narrative unfolds from her viewpoint, illustrating her mental turmoil and the gaslighting inflicted by both her daughter and the tutor. As the tension mounts, Sophie confronts her anxieties regarding Deanna's potential encroachment on her life, exacerbated by her insecurities and the pressure to uphold the illusion of a perfect family. The plot is replete with unexpected turns that keep readers intrigued about Deanna's true character and motivations.
The story reaches a climactic twist that defies expectations, culminating in a riveting conclusion. While the narrative pacing varies—occasionally slowing for backstory—the overall engagement remains intact. J.M. Dalgliesh's debut in psychological thrillers features well-crafted characters and a compelling plot, leaving readers anticipating further works from the author, despite lingering questions.
