This cookbook is lovely! Full of comfort foods and delicious recipes. I especially love how the book is divided into sections based on length of cook time, making it easy to determine what to make each week based on my schedule.

As an American, I found the recipes and ingredients appealing and accessible. The only inconvenience is some measurements using grams/oz (i.e. peas, shrimp, Parmesan cheese), which may restrict individuals who do not have a kitchen scale. However, the majority of ingredients do have cup/fl oz conversion notated.

I’m looking forward to exploring more recipes in this book and bringing a little piece of England to my home.

Easy to follow, relatively quick (30 min average) recipes that are actually delicious! Comfort food is my favourite and these aren't daunting recipes but they look impressive when served!! I will be buying the hardcover!

Lovely cookbook with comforting recipes, have tried a few recipes so far and they were easy to follow and a big hit at home. Cannot wait to try some of the baking recipes soon!

Big plus were the aesthetic photos accompanying the recipes; the easy to follow instructions and the suggested alternatives.

I love the photography, every plate looked delicious, and the recipes are easy to follow. However, if your palette isn't "adult", there will probably be more dishes you'd NOT make, than dishes you would in this book. I would maybe make and eat 15% of the featured recipes, but that's just my tastebud issues. I feel like most people would like these array of recipes. I also feel like the title of the book doesn't really go with the vibe of the recipes, if that makes sense. It's a bit misleading in my opinion.

I’m a sucker for cookbooks, and Country Comfort did not disappoint! This cookbook is filled with delicious recipes and stunning food photos that make you want to dive right in. The dishes are perfect for adding to my monthly family meal rotation. I’m especially excited to try the Messy Sausage Pasta, Mediterranean Pasta Salad, Pulled Chicken Tacos, and the Sunday Sports Chicken Mac ‘n’ Cheese. For dessert, the Grandparents-approved Carrot Cake sounds like the perfect sweet ending to any meal.

What a yummy and comforting cookbook! I can’t wait to start cooking from it.

Well-written and beautifully illustrated recipes broken down into groups by how long it takes to make them. The groups range from COMFORT IN 10 to COMFORT IN 40 with baking in a separate group. The Steak and Caramelised Onion Sandwich was in the COMFORT IN 20 group. That time was taken up by the caramelising of the onions. It was a good use of leftover steak I already had. One of the best steak sandwiches I have ever made according to my family. Will be making more of these British recipes.

I enjoyed everything about this book from its layout, pictures and extensive collection of recipes. I tested quite a few of them and enjoyed them very much. This is definitely my sort of cook book and I can honestly say I would probably make and try most, if not all, of the recipes contained within. I haven't come across Hari Beavis before but I am now a fan and like her little introductions at the beginning of each recipe. Easy to follow with clear instructions and accompanied by beautiful photos for most of the recipes which must truly inspire the reader. I liked the way the recipe chapters are set out in timings from 10 to 40 minutes, very useful, especially when in a hurry. Plenty of tips plus ideas of alternative ingredients and suggestions. I shall definitely be on the look out for this book once published as I so much prefer using an actual book in the kitchen and often sit of an evening browsing through recipe books.

Country Comfort is a debut cookbook by Hari Beavis filled with 90 recipes for quick and easy comfort food inspired by country living. The recipes are organized by time, ranging from Comfort in 10 minutes to Comfort in 40 minutes, with a special baking chapter at the end. From Honey-Kissed Camembert to Mushroom and Prosecco Risotto, you'll find a variety of delicious dishes to make, including easy wins like Leftover Roast Dinner Hotpot and tasty bakes like Almond Bundt Cake. Each recipe includes swaps and additional options for customization, making it easy to create wholesome meals for any occasion.

I am eagerly anticipating the release of the hardcover edition. Although I do not currently follow Hari Beavis on social media, I am now considering doing so. This debut cookbook features a plethora of stunning candid photos and images of the recipes. I particularly appreciate the book's organization, which makes it easy to navigate. I am thrilled at the prospect of trying out some of these recipes!

The baked recipes included in the book are truly mouthwatering. Who wouldn't want to attempt making croissant or waffle pudding? I recently tried the cream puffed pastries, and I am eagerly awaiting feedback from my family.

This cookbook has elevated my cooking skills and makes me feel like a professional chef! The hardcover edition is set to be released on 9/2/2024, and I am counting down the days until I can get my hands on a copy.

Thank you NetGalley and Quarto Publishing Group – White Lion | Carnival for digital ARC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I love a good cookbook and I’m always looking for new recipes. The cover Dane title drew ,e to this one. One thing I loved about this is the book is sectioned off from 10,20,30, & 40 minute recipes. This is really great option to the book because sometimes you need a quick meal and other times you might have more time to make a larger meal, Honestly some of these recipes were over my head and I didn’t know what some of the ingredients were but there were still quite a few recipes that I loved and hope to try. Some of the recipes included My Loved Ones Carbonara, Chicken Quesadillas, a speedy creamy chicken risotto, and a Chicken Mac n Cheese. There was a great chopped Cobb Salad and a Chicken Caesar Salad. I also think it depends on the type of meat you like there were several fish recipes. I truly loved the dessert section from a chocolate & hazelnut croissant pudding, a banana, peanut butter chocolate muffins, and a simply delicious brownies. With the range of recipes this was definitely worth a buy.

I don't think I've ever given a cookbook 5 stars but this wins! The picture are delectable and the recipes seem easily adjustable. I saw so many individual and unique recipes worth try and it definitely made this book worth recommending or buying for a friend! Food lovers know good country cooking when they see it.

This book truly is what the title promises, so much comfort food! I love the recipes and the pictures are AMAZING! The instructions are easy to follow and the ingredients easy to find. Nothing I want more from a cookbook.

A beautiful cookbook, especially to display but didn't hold the kind of recipes I was expecting it to. I am still interested in trying some of them out, just highly recommend looking into this author's background and reading more of the summary before picking up. The title can be easily misinterpreted. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

What I like most about this book is the design. The recipes and tips are useful and seem appealing. I have however come accross many books that were quite similar, which is why it doesn't scream favourite to me. Would absolutely stock this in my cookbook section though.

Delicious. The pictures are breathtaking, the food is doable but looks so fancy! I really enjoyed going through this cookbook, just like a book and reading through it. It was great!

This is a beautiful cookbook! The recipes are delicious and so comforting. I like that it separates it into time as that is often a big factor in deciding what to make but I also like that it includes the equipment necessary. Styling and photos are beautiful and I can wait to try more recipes from it. The recipes aren’t revolutionary but they are absolute staples everyone should be able to cook.

This is English country living which I wasn't aware of. But it's an easy-to-follow Cookbook with great photos. I learned new recipes I wouldn't have otherwise. I loved her commentary on why the entries were chosen,

I've been finding myself in a bit of a rut recently when it comes to cooking dinner, so this book came along at the right time!

The recipes in Country Comfort are divided into 5 sections: 10-minute recipes, 20-minute recipes, 30-minute recipes, 40-minute recipes and baking. The fastest recipes are perfect for busy school nights and most of them would work for fussy kids. Some of my favourites were the chicken quesadillas (great for using up leftover chicken) and creamy chicken pasta, which I am adding to my rota for swimming nights when I only have 15 minutes to get dinner on the table. I'm also looking forward to trying the one-pan salmon orzo and the couscous, sweet potato and pomegranate salad.

As the title suggests, a lot of these recipes could be classified as comfort food and so there is liberal use of heavy cream in many of the recipes. That said, there are plenty of salads and recipes with lots of vegetables too!

One thing I really appreciated was the Alternative Ingredients list at the bottom of most recipes, suggesting substitutions based on what you might have in your pantry (for instance the cheesy fish pie suggests replacing potatoes with sweet potatoes or pie pastry and offers suggestions of different fish and seafood fillings).

A recommended read for fans of Jamie Oliver and dinner makers in need of inspiration.
