This is my first Michelle Douglas novel and I selected it as I was intrigued by the description. Set in the Greek islands a reality tv show is rebuilding a Greek island resort. Janie has a very overprotective famous musician as a father and actress mother. She, however, prefers working away from the limelight after being dubbed plain Janie by the press. She works with charities and so signed up to the reality show. Her father hired Zach as her bodyguard to protect her. He is grumpy and not thrilled to be on a reality tv show. Slowly the pair fall in love but will their love survive in the real world?

I enjoyed this book. It is well written, a very different storyline, more contemporary and fun. The characters are interesting and catch the readers’ attention and most importantly are relatable.

I am not a fan of reality TV, but the renovation and reality show theme provides a relatable contemporary setting for this enjoyable story. The Corfu location adds to the romance, and the lyrical descriptions bring the island location to life. I like the believable protagonists and the attraction between them, echoed by their emotional commitment and the elements of mystery and suspense as the story unfolds.

Lovely little romance story with the nice addition of the reality TV show. Close proximity and no other current men or women to distract the 2 main characters from their blossoming love.

An easy quick read. No 3rd act break up which is always a winner. The storyline was quite unique with the reality show competition and sabotage. Which makes a nice change from repetitive storylines
