This is a quick, fun way to introduce the Swan Lake ballet to small children. The illustrations are bright and colorful and the text fun and engaging. This book is the perfect size for toddlers and their short attention spans.
This is a quick representation of the famous Swan Lake ballet. It is ideal for toddlers. The art style is lovely - amazing colours and characters.
My child is a bit old to comment on this now, but they liked what I liked about it. When my child was little, we read similar books with audio and my child enjoyed pressing the buttons. It is good that this interactive story exists. A nice way to engage the little ones and introduce them to art.
This was a super cute board book version of Swan Lake! I think the illustrations were great & it gave just enough of the story to introduce the youngest kiddos to the classic story. Overall, just a delightful retelling!
Thanks to NetGalley, Jessica Courtney-Tickle, and Quarto Publishing for the chance to read and review.
The book was enjoyable. I wish it was closer to the original story. I would benefit to include information about Tchaikovsky for older children who wish to read this book. The art is lovely.
My daughter and I so enjoyed this book at bedtime. She has recently been doing the Nutcracker performances for dance so this was such a fun book! Beautifully done!
I love this entry in the My First Orchestra series that introduces young readers to the ballet, The Nutcracker, through splendid art and magical musical excerpts. A great way to expose toddlers and babies to classical music and ballet productions.
