What a beautiful read. This story plays out one New years eve when everyone gets together to celebrate, there are a few main characters in this story who all have loved, faced loss and many problems with relationships and have some decisions to make. As Dario starts preparing the family restaurant for what could be the last time due to financial difficulties he also faces a major decision that could split his family. Its beautifully written with warmth and charm and as they all comes together at midnight will everything finally be revealed and can they all find the happiness they deserve. I loved it and highly recommend this book

If you're after a quick lighthearted read with relatable characters then you definitely need a Shari Low book. I absolutely love her "one" series of books. They make me laugh and cry in equal measures. In this latest heartwarming read we meet family and friends preparing to celebrate Hogmanay in a local Italian restaurant. It's a true feast of a book.

As always another belter from Shari Low.

One midnight with you follows Ailish, her daughter Emmy and her mother in law Minnie. Three generations of women all going through their own New Year’s Eve preparations.

Absolutely loved following these ladies and going on their journey in Shari’s world.

Dario is going through his own preparations and desperately trying to find a miracle on New Year’s Eve. I love how as ever worlds Collide in Shari’s world.

You will laugh and cry and sometimes at the same time but as always another fabulous read.

Sharin Lows books have a number of intertwined characters and their lives and usually how they sorts out to make a cohesive story. This book followed along the same thematic.

The characters were all so real, with their ups and downs and issues and between 8am and midnight their stories all get sorted out during their get-together at a local Italian restaurant.

A great read, I really enjoy Lows books and cannot wait to read the next one.

Shari Low is an exceptionally good author. Her stories pull you in and keep you invested right to the very last page and even then you want more!. This book has it all, humour, friendship and romance.
A really lovely story set in Glasgow on New Year’s Eve, beginning at 8am, running right through until midnight. We meet a group of three 50 something ladies whose friendship has got them through the best and worst times of their lives. Midnight is spent in a Glasgow Italian restaurant that’s is family owned, with Dad Gino at the heart of the restaurant the restaurant holds lots of memories, good and bad for all our characters.
Shari takes us on an emotional rollercoaster, I laughed and I cried (only a little)
This book is brilliant, read it you will not be able to put it down.

There never a bad Shari Low book and I was delighted to be granted access to this just as I was about to go on holiday. Day one of my sun lounger and I devoured this. This story centres around Alish; her friends Gwen and Rhonda. Hogmany marks the day that Ailish’s divorce is finalised; and Gwen has insisted they go to the Italian restaurant that all previous Hogmany’s have been celebrated. Throw into the mix Dario who runs the restaurant and his family; Emmy; Ailish’s daughter who is worrying why her boyfriend is being secretive and her ex husband who has decided today is the day he wants to win her back! A riotous emotional and uplifting 24 hours in their lives is packed into this book; love it.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for my copy of One Midnight With Low by Shari Low. This is definitely a two boxes of tissues book.
I laughed and I cried along with Ailish, Gwen and Rhonda.
And assorted members of their families, all with their own stories that all came together at Midnight.
Feel good reading at its best. Curl up with coffee and chocolate and lose yourself in the delight of a new Shari Low novel.

This was a brilliant character read set during the hours leading up to Hogmanay told from the perspectives of four connected individuals. The book starts with an introduction to the characters which gives great background but felt a bit overwhelming until I’d started reading it when it all started to make more sense. Each character has been dealing with different issues over the past while and as the hours pass each gets nearer to a resolution. Ailish is still recovering from the end of her marriage two years ago after the discovery of her husbands infidelity, her daughter Emmy is worried that her boyfriend is being unfaithful, Emmy’s gran Minnie has been making secret plans for this Hogmanay now for some time and close family friend Dario fears devastating his father by selling his business. The stories are well intertwined in two hour sections, some parts I could predict but others were a pleasant surprise. The characters are all well written with solid stories and there were references to some characters from some of Shari Low’s previous books. I really like how much happens over such a short time frame and how well the stories weave together. Overall this is a lovely uplifting read.
