Such a great read! Highly recommend this one.
Many thanks to the author, the publisher, and Netgalley for my ARC. All opinions are my own.
I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I enjoyed this book a lot. It was a great book!
This book has a lovely coastal setting. I didn’t immediately gel with any particular character, perhaps this would be easier if I had read the previous book. It is a light read, good for a holiday book.
I didn't enjoy this book as much as I hoped I would having found the first in this series from Combe Tollbridge. Whereas the first book was a fun easy read which flowed along, this one seemed more stilted and slow going which I struggled to finished. Some of the same quirky characters in this slightly old fashioned coastal town which the modern world seems to have passed by. It didn't really seem to have much of a main plot just a string of sub-plots some of which weren't resolved. I've given 3 stars as other people may well get on with it better.
Thank you to NetGalley and Farrago books for the ARC. Everything from the cover to the synopsis sounded like a book I would really love. The book was very hard for me to get into. I struggled to finish. An interesting cast of characters and a quaint village on an island. Sadly it just was okay for me.
