As a former elementary school teacher, I was so excited to check out this book! The illustrations are beautiful and I love that the suggestions mentioned feel actionable for young readers! I also love the layout and feel like it is very age-appropriate.
I absolutely recommend this book as I think it presents complex information in a way that is perfect for young readers!
Thank you so much to the publisher and to NetGalley for the e-arc in exchange for an honest review.
This is a great book that focuses on the importance of everyone, including children, to take care of the earth. Illustrations are great!
I appreciate the publisher and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
This was a lovely book to read. I appreciated the fact that it was not over complicated but still used “wow” vocabulary which would expose little ones to a variety of new words. I loved the rhyming and the use of the illustrations to support teaching children about caring for our planet.
This was cute. Nothing groundbreaking, but a nice way to start building awareness. The illustrations fit the narrative style very well, too.
This is a great introduction to caring for the Earth for young children. I especially thought the illustrations were fabulous. They were clear for young readers and really cute. I especially appreciated diverse representation in the illustrations.
For the most part the language was simple and clear without being condescending. I did struggle with the rhyming though - the rhythm was odd in some places.
Overall a good book for preschool and younger elementary on a really important topic!
It was a cute story and easy to follow. The only thing is that the rhyming did not always match well. The illustrations are beautiful.
This is a lovely, simple children's picture book with advice on some of the different ways that we can live sustainably and reduce our impact on the environment. I really liked the sentiment of the book, but felt that the rhyming text doesn't always flow when reading aloud, and while the text refers to "carbon footprint", it doesn't mention climate change or pollution directly but this could still be a good introduction to open up dialogue about these topics with children. Overall, I enjoyed the practical advice and hopeful message in this picture book.
Very cute children's book explaining the importance of protecting our Earth and minimizing waste.
The illustrations were very cute and helped with the understanding the concepts talked about.
The content was easy to understand and was able to push the important points on a level of understanding for the most part. The only reason this is a 4-star for me is because my children do not know what a carbon footprint is. I wish there was a page that touched on that to help further push the point across.
Thank you NetGalley, Jane Calame, and Atmosphere Press for allowing me to review.
A lovely book that teaches kids the small things they can do to do their part for the world and make it a better place. The rhyming is fun and engaging and the illustrations are beautiful
A sweet, simple story about the importance of our Earth. Probably better suited for preschool-age children
I really like this rhyming book about how to save the planet. It shows all kinds of ways in a way any child can understand. The illustrations are appealing and go well with the story being told. From recycling to using a bicycle this is a great way to save the planet and if parents read it, it is a reminder to them. Great for school and home library.
Although the rhyming text is a bit too awkward for use as a story time read aloud, the gently colorful illustrations and concepts raised by the pictures might make this a good book for reading one on one. The many ideas and options for conservation ensure that every child will be able to identify a way they are already caring for the planet while starting conversations about what they can do next. Overall the tone is positive and encouraging, though a page at the end for additional resources for caregivers would have been a fantastic addition. Thank you to NetGalley for access to this arc.
A cute children's book that teaches young readers how to do their part to protect our planet. Topics range from conservation to gardening.
Quick, fun, and educational.
This delightful children’s book about our earth is a must-have for your home or classroom library!
The concepts of conservation are easily spelled out for a child’s understanding, and examples are given. The accompanying illustrations are easy on the eyes and add vibrancy to the content!
Overall, a really excellent addition to your child or student’s book list!
Beautiful illustrations, I love that it has inclusivity amongst the characters! As a former preschool teacher I also appreciate that the message is straight forward and simple! A book that parents, teachers and students will love and enjoy!
