Melinda Leigh is one of those, if she writes it, I will read it, authors for me. The Bree Tagert series might be my favorite. I am typically pretty good at figuring out the plot twist, but this one got me. I loved the ending and how seamlessly everything was wrapped up without feeling rushed. Highly recommend!

Track Her Down is the latest mystery in the Bree Taggert series. When Sheriff Bree Taggert responds to a home invasion/murder of two seemingly normal citizens, she isn't sure what's going on - especially when their daughter, Claire, begins being stalked.

This is another fast-paced, fun thriller from Melinda Leigh, and it delivers all you'd want from a Bree Taggert novel. She often surprises me with her red herrings and mysteries, and even when I guess the whodunnit early on, I'm usually still excited to see how we get there. The whodunnit is usually not the only thrilling part of the books. Like her other novels, I blew through it in hours.

I recommend the entire Bree Taggert series to anyone interested in quick, fun police procedural mysteries.

Years ago, I accidentally stumbled across Melinda Leigh books on Kindle Unlimited and I have been a fan ever since. The Bree Taggart series is full of great characters, good story lines, wonderful pets and awesome K-9’s. This particular book was full of suspense and some twists I did not see coming. If you like criminal thrillers, you should check this series out.
Thank you Netgalley and publishers for the ARC.

Another fantastic installment into the Bree Taggert series - 5 stars for me! The more I read this series, the more I love the characters. If you haven't read any of the Bree Tanner books yet, you do not HAVE to read them in order to read this one, but trust me, you will want to go back and read them.

As usual, this latest book hooked me right at the start. This book was a little different for me because, without revealing spoilers, I thought I had it figured out when it turns out I was totally wrong. Also in this book there are two cases happening at the same time, and the other case is kinda hilarious at first until you start to understand what exactly was happening.

This book had a lot more surprises and twists than her previous books, which made me love the book all the more for it. I also love how we get to see not only Bree Taggert's POV, but also several of the other characters. Normally this is something that can annoy me, as I don't really like multiple POVs, but in this case it actually helped to build some of the suspense and surprise. I am also super excited to see in the next book if we have another K-9 coming with Matt's work with a new dog! I always love the Brady and Greta appearances in the books.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I love love LOVED! this installment of the Bree Taggert series. Parts of it gave me literal chills. And I thought it was cool it threw a couple nods to Echo Road. Definitely going to be a must read of 2025

Great series stays strong! Complex mystery and complex, well-developed characters that you feel you know. Moves at a relentless pace, red herrings, twists, and turns up to the very end. Plus a huge human element that weaves it all together. For any mystery fan, the whole series is amazing! (Big plus, they all love animals, who are part of the cast)

I absolutely loved this book! I'm so invested in these characters, I can't get enough. My favorite part of these stories is the personal lives of the recurring characters. The plot in this particular story was done really well. I read this book in one sitting as I was hooked from the first page. This was a fast paced story that held my attention from start to finish, just like every book in this series before it. I can't wait to get my hands on the next one.

**********Contains Spoilers**********

I really enjoyed this book and thought that it was another good addition to the Bree Taggert Series. During this book Sheriff Bree Taggert is called to the scene of the double murder of Josh and Shelly Mason, their teenage daughter Claire found their bodies. Bree knows that their murders weren’t a burglary gone wrong and that the pair were executed. Bree calls her boyfriend, criminal Investigator Matt Flynn for assistance on the case. The more they investigate, the more they untangle about Josh and Shelly deceitful ways.

It’s a completely messed up webs of lies. I think that Bree and Matt make an amazing team. I love seeing each of them allow the other to step forward when needed during an investigation and that they have each other’s backs. I’ve already pre-ordered the next book and I’m looking forward to reading when it’s released, as well as more book from this universe in the future. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.

******I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author and publisher, Montlake through NetGalley. I would still happily review this book even if I purchased it myself. My thoughts and feelings about this book are completely unbiased******

After the opening brutal murder scene, I plowed through this book to get to the end to find out who done it. The journey to getting there was full of many twist and shocking revelations. Another great addition to series.

This story picks up right after the collaborative book with Kendra Elliot. Bree and Matt and their patchwork family are thriving in their little town, when a horrific murder takes place. I admit I was surprised at the ending, which I absolutely love. We also got some pov from another character—Renata—whom I found very interesting. I’d love to see her possibly get a series. Overall it was a great page turner. A must read!

I love the Bree Taggert series and this one didn't disappoint. Looking forward to the next one. I really enjoy seeing the lives of each character through the series, in addition to the story itself.

Bree and her team are tasked with solving a double murder. Nothing is what it appears to be and every clue leaves them stumped at every twist and turn. The book had a few grammatical errors that needed to be edited, but loved it nonetheless. Can’t think of anything written by Melinda Leigh that I haven’t loved yet. #NetGalley

Track Her Down is the tenth installment in the Bree Taggert series and this case certainly kept Bree on her toes because of the empathy she felt for the young victim and what she went through. When a teenager returns home from work and finds her parents deceased in bed, more questions than answers surface as it turns out the deceased weren’t on the up and up leaving Bree and team to wonder how much did the teenager know.

Bree has made so much progress personally when it comes to dealing with her own traumatic past but it still gets in the way from time to time but it never prevents her from being a good sheriff and this case proved it. Matt helped Bree with this investigation and I love how supportive he is professionally and personally and I really hope they get married in the future but it’s not a requirement cause you know they are fully committed to each other.

This series continues to be one of my favorites and I can’t wait for the next book to come out!

I love all the Bree Taggert books and this is no exception. A teen returns home from work and finds her parents murdered. It’s up to Bree, Matt and the team to find out what happened. I have to admit I did not see the twist coming and was very surprised. Can’t wait for more.

4.5* Another decent outing for Bree and the team, but slightly rushed towards the end.

Wow, I didn't see the reveals coming in this one. Yes, it might be book 9 in Bree's universe but each tale is very different, though with a lovely familiarity via the various side characters and snippets of Bree's family life. I'm not sure where it ties in with the 07/2024 collaboration with Kendra Elliott - Echo Road - but this feels pretty seamless with what's come before. You don't have to read the previous books to enjoy this one, but doing so will improve understanding of Bree's life and why she's the person she is.

This one starts with a pretty gruesome event and there's reveal after reveal that tie in with a revengeful murder, with some decent detective work from the team, including a new female character who appeared in the collaboration tale, Zucco. I predict we'll see more of her, possibly in a romance with a side character who's intriguing and who pops up briefly in each book, that I'd love to learn more about.

The tale progresses slowly at the start but there are enough red herrings to make it believable, and then, omg, come the reveals, which result in a bit of a dilemma for Bree, possible professional repercussions, as well as a thawing of relations with her nemesis, Jager. I liked this, as it showed how human and vulnerable she is, despite her toughness and compartmentalising of work vs home life. The only gripe is that everything felt a tad rushed at the end, with seemingly insignificant stuff turning out to be the motives for the murders, and a bit of a shocking collusion that despite it all, still made the victim a victim, and still a likeable one, too. But, ugh, the manipulation and actions were selfish and could have had serious consequences for one of the red herrings, and potentially may for Bree. Still, she's good enough at her job that she'll likely be fine, especially with Jager's thawing and her own reveals. That's an interesting change in their dynamic and it'll be interesting to see how they interact in future books and whether they're more allies than vague...colleagues? who don't see eye to eye.

Anyone who knows me knows how much I love the Bree Taggert series. Melinda Leigh is one of the authors I stumbled across via Kindle Unlimited way back when and she sparked my love for reading again. I binged all her available books and fell in love with this series and its characters.

This one pulled me in right from the start - which is no surprise for this series. I instantly connected with the characters. I must admit I did have a hunch from the beginning but I was still somewhat thrown off by the twist. As usual, the plot of the book was well done as well as the overarching plotline of the series. A near-perfect execution. The characters continue to grow on me, and I also love the introduction to newer characters. If you enjoy mysteries/thrillers, add this series to your TBR. You will 100% binge these books. An easy 4 stars!

Most importantly - all the thanks to Melinda Leigh and her publisher, Montlake, for providing me with this ARC. The publication date is set for January 14, 2025. Thrilled to have been able to read this one already. I hope this series never ends. Highly recommend!

The tenth book in Melinda Leigh's Bree Taggert series is another winner and gives evidence of what a strong character Bree is. To have ten books that each tell a successful story is remarkable.
Track her Down is a romantic suspense story that is heavier on the suspense than the romance, but the relationship between Bree and Matt Flynn continues to mature in this latest installment. I can usually figure out who done it in most suspense books at least by the halfway point, but this one had me flummoxed until the end. The book begins with a double homicide that leaves a teenager an orphan and a town braced for the worst. As Bree, Matt and the law enforcement officers of Grey Lake, New York delve into the case, the twists and turns it takes leads to uncovering a trail of years of deception and crime.
I read this book through in one sitting. At 317 pages, this is not a long book, but it is packed with action that will keep you reading and guessing. I highly recommend.

When Bree shows up to a double murder to find a teenage girl has found her parents and is in shock she immediately feels for this traumatized girl. But she has to do her job.

As the investigation goes further more and more secrets are revealed. Trying to keep the safe is turning out to be harder than she expected. Can they do it?

This book is quite the ride and seems to never stop.
