I missed that this was book two, but I have read both books in 4 days, so I think that speaks volumes for the entertainment and flow of the book.

I love the intricacy of the world, and the Leagues of Vampires. The idea that Vampire society essentially boils down to secret societies is such a unique angle on Vampires.
I wasn't obsessed with the spice, some of the terms of phrase felt a little awkward, but it didn't detract too much from the overall enjoyment of the book. It's had good pacing, without much "down-time" between action, which I really enjoyed.

I'm looking forward to continuing Ragnor and Aileens journey in the next one.

Sapir Englard In Blood of the Gods creates a complex world that she floods with details and easily brings to life for her audience!

Blood of the Gods takes Aileen Henderson to a whole other level of intrigue and danger. Not only does Aileen confront the evil of others but she reconciles with the evil that lived within her for some introspective and challenging moments. Whereas in the first book of this series there was a gradual build up of revelations in book two there was little respite from the truths that haunted Aileen and the agendas of others. Sapir Englard's extensive imagination shines in her writing, bringing her readers to the vast and comprehensive worlds she creates. Blood of the Gods by Sapir A. Englard was a really great read.
I was beyond hooked and enjoyed every second of this book.

It took me a while to get into the first book in this series, but this one had me hooked from the very beginning. This book is full of danger, passion, intrigue, and heat. It also broke my heart in places and surprised me a few times. I am on the edge of my seat right now, and I really need to have the next book as soon as possible so I can see where this story goes from here.

Blood of the Gods follows on from Cloak of the Vampire and I find myself now eagerly waiting for the next book in this saga after finishing this second installment.

As a new reader of paranormal suspense and romance I found myself entering deeper into Aileen’s world of vampires and becoming more and more hooked about uncovering the mysteries and background of this wonderful mystical series.

As a character, Aileen is fiesty and courageous at the same time as being vulnerable and kind. Ragnor, Aileen’s love and hate interest, is equally as interesting a character in his own alpha, vampire way. Who doesn't love an alpha, bad boy with a soft passionate heart for the woman he loves?

Written with eloquent beauty this story is both full of torment and passion and I would recommend this read to anyone who enjoys this genre. I will be now looking with anticipation for any books by Sapir a. Englard. Thank you Netgally and the publisher for allowing me to read this book prior to release.

Overall, I enjoyed the book. It was a good continuation of the cloak of the vampire. It was interesting to get a more in depth look at other vampire leagues and how they operate differently.

Many truths have come out but it just made everything more complicated. Ragnor shows his alpha protective and possessive side so intensely here. He is literally declaring war against powerful Vampire lords for Aileen. He also has to take care of his own league and the Vampire world from the Jinnis. Aileen is angry and confused and lost and terrified. She still suffers from immense guilt and hatred about her past. She is heartbroken too. This one is full of angst and heartache. But the action and suspense play important role too. It ends with a massive cliffhanger and I cannot wait for next book.</b>

Blood of Gods is the continuation of the Cloak of a Vampire series by Sapire A England.

It is told in first person Dual POV from Aileen and Ragnor.
We get more of Aileen’s backstory as well as adjusting to her new life as a vampire and at Atalon. We also begin to unravel the Morrow Gods mystery.

Book 2 feels a little slower paced than Cloak of a Vampire, but I belief it’s because of the amount of information packed into this one.

I cannot wait for the next in the series.

I have never been so happy to receive an advanced copy. After finishing the first book, Cloak of the Vampire, I was so ready for the next book.

I love that we learn more about Aileen's past and who she is. I enjoyed learning more about the other Leagues. I'm curious to find out what will happen with Lord Renaldi and is girls. And I'm sitting on pins and needles to find out exactly what Lord Ragnor was before he became a vampire.

A little disclaimer: These books are written in deep POV. So there are questions you don't have answers too. As the character reveals them or another character figures it out, you're just as blind as they are. But that is what makes these books climb right to the top of my favorite list.

Now I just need a countdown for the next book!

I really liked book 1 of the Cloak of the Vampires series and this one did not disappoint. The amount of family trauma and cults mixed in with enemies to lovers was perfect. I love how Aileen is strong and willing to do what needs to be done but also is kindhearted and wants to be better than she was raised. I love how messy and complicated her life has become even after all the mess of her life in book 1. I can’t wait to read more of the series. 4 out of 5 stars.

This book was exactly what I wanted and then some. It was the sequel I was desperately craving after book one. Aileen is even more interesting as a character this time around. She is scared, scarred, fragile and yet strong, kind and yet fearsome. She is incredibly powerful and yet not fully capable of understanding heed own powers. I loved that we got to know more about her backstory and the whole ordeal with the gods that happened in book one. It gave so much more depth to this character that it didn’t have before. And Ragnor … to be completely honest with you, for a second there, I thought that he wasn’t even the real love interest anymore, so used I am to other books making me change my mind. But I couldn’t forsake him. And it seems Aileen couldn’t either. He is stronger, wilder, more obsessed and even more possessive. He is eaten by guilt and he doesn’t know what to do with himself when the woman he was obsessed with is gone in another League. We have spice, we have passion we have angst (the best kind to be honest) and we have sweetness somehow. I loved it. Their dynamic was back to stage one. An enemies to lovers to the max. But this time there is something more. There is a feeling none of them is able to deny anymore. A feeling that will hunt them until the end. And it was so good to read !!! And I’m once again left with a cliffhanger !!! I need book three like NOW !!!!

This book was devastating. The plot, the magic, the world. and the MCs were EVERYTHING. I loved how the author was able to create all the small nuances within the story but also plotted a delicious enemy to lover romance. The FMC was the charter that kept me intrigued most of the book and I enjoyed seeing her development and growth as I read more.

I thoughts the first book was interesting. I felt the label of vampire is a stretch for the characteristics of the species. I felt this book there were a lot of jumping around.

I loved Blood of the gods. I had read cloak of the vampire on kindle unlimited so was extremely excited to find an advance copy of this available on net gallery so I could skip waiting until official publication. This series is really well written with a compelling story, something that a lot of Romantasy books forget is important. Although, that doesn’t mean the author held back on the spice ;) Would recommend this series for anyone who is a fan of Geneva Lee’s filthy rich vampire series.

A well deserved 5 stars.. being the second book in the series I was already hooked.

To find out the fate of Aileen after the auction, we follow her story to find there’s more than we first thought. Without giving anything away, this book is truly brilliant and I can’t wait for the third in the series!

A solid second book in the Cloak of the Vampire series.

We follow Aileen on her journey into Altons league. She tries to make a new Home for herself to help forget Ragnors Betrayal at the auction. She throws herself into her new job and friends. But her suspicions start to grow as her new lord starts making advances.

This book explores the vampire and supernatural world further. We learn a little more about the children of kahil and what that could mean for Aileen. There is plenty of intrigue mystery and danger on the horizon. Let not forget thats theres also get plenty of super hot spice.

This was a very wild ride-as far as reading a novel goes. I liked the non-stop action without the teenage angst that comes with highly dramatic teen novels. I loved reading about a female main character with a dark, mysterious past and her efforts to fight for her future in a cruel vampire society. She also fights pretty hard against loving a bad boy, but keeps getting sucked right back into that drama. I would highly recommend this series for those who love romantasy.
