A cute story about a girl who is looking for the crook who stole the cookies meant for Santa but learns about giving instead . I absolutely loved this book , the story is cute and the illustrations were colorful and fit the story perfectly.

I highly recommend reading this with young children.

It's Christmas Eve and someone has taken a bite out of Santa's cookies. Santa relies on those cookies to get him through his long night of delivering presents. But who could have stolen the cookies? The search is on for the thief. When the tiny thief is found he was just hungry because everyone else has eaten but him. Santa would understand. So who was the thief?

Someone stole Santa’s cookies! Who could it be? Join our intrepid narrator on a search for the Christmas Cookie Crook.
It’s a cute story with festive illustrations, and I like the message that during the holidays we should share with those in need, but the rhythm and rhyme were strained and at times the text was confusing. It could be a fun addition to a holiday collection, particularly for younger children, but it certainly won’t be replacing any of the classics in my house.

I love it !! Alice Bailey age 6. It was funny to find out the crook was a mouse. And it was nice they gave it some cheese.

I was really looking forward to reading the story of the The Christmas Cookie Crook, but this one didn’t quite meet my expectations. It felt like it needed a bit more depth, and I was surprised at how quickly it wrapped up. That said, I can definitely see how children would love the colorful illustrations and the speedy read!

Thanks to Netgalley and publisher for opportunity to review.

It's refreshing to see more original Christmas picture books, this didn't feel like a new twist on an old story. Instead this one is different, and I can see parents gravitating towards this as something new to read to there little ones leading up to Christmas.

Very confusing and awkward to read.

Not one I'm going to share, I'm afraid. I had to read it twice to understand what was going on - Santa is asleep because someone has stolen his cookies and he needs these to stay awake. So the narrator (a little girl? In the North Pole?) investigates to see who has eaten them.

I don't understand:
how eaten cookies are going to be returned
why a boy accuses a snowman of making a mess (and appears to be standing in a puddle)
why someone knocks on a stocking (apart from it being a rhyming word)
why it's suddenly okay without the cookies as long as Santa has his reindeer
and why cheese is a suitable alternative.

The book really isn't clear (Is "Take some cheese" said to Santa or a mouse?). Some sweet illustrations but not a warming seasonal message or text.

With thanks to Netgalley for providing a sample reading copy.

The illustrations were bright, colorful and cute. The storyline was easy for littles to understand and entertaining. This is a perfect story to read on Christmas Eve as we are prepping for Santa.

Thank you Laura Gia West and NetGalley for allowing me to review.

Super fun and cute book! The rhyming pattern was a little bit odd at first, but ended up working well for the story. Additionally, the story is fun, clever, and perfect for kids (especially as a bedtime story). It's short, but I think that keeping it so helped it succeed for me. It will maintain kids' attention and they will definitely like the ending. Lastly, the illustrations were simple, but colorful and crisp, which was super effective in the telling of the story. I especially liked the last drawing, and I think that kids will, too (they might even chuckle out loud).
Bravo!

This is a cute book with pretty illustrations. However, I don't think the story matches some of the illustrations. Someone stole Santa's cookies, but there's 3 cookies on the plate with bites taken out. My kids looked at them and said "the cookies are right there!" I like the over all message of giving being important. We'd read this story once or twice and move on.

The Christmas Cookie Crook is a very cute children's picture book about a thief that has stolen Santa's cookies on Christmas Eve. I liked the art style for this one a lot, the illustrations were very fun. I also liked that we followed along the deduction process to find the "thief" of the Christmas cookies.

I personally would have liked a little bit more from the prose. Some of it seemed to flow a little bit clunkily, but it was still a super cute holiday read that the kiddos will enjoy!

Thanks to NetGalley, Laura Gia West, and Victory Editing for the chance to read and review. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

The Christmas Cookie Crook is an adorable story about the disappearance of special holiday cookies at a family's house just before Christmas. Who could possibly be stealing Santa's cookies?? Children get to read through all of the possibilities and then learn about the spirit of giving at the end of the story. Perfect for kids ages 2-5.

This was such a cute Christmas book for kids. The illustrations were so fun and inviting. The overall message was nice and rewarding without feeling like a lecture. I enjoyed the mouse celebrating at the end and his Christmas tree glasses.
