This was a wonderful book. I think there arepainfully few books that are as honest and forthright about being a Christian as this one.

Who loves hearing a person’s testimony? Me! I love hearing people’s stories and how God moves in their lives. This is the author’s story of how he met God during a drug binge. If you know anyone struggling with an addiction this would be a good easy book for them to read and relate to. The book follows his journey with finding God during that night and going to his nearest church and giving it a 30 day trial. Throughout the book he follows God’s directions for his life that at times finds him in another country. Good quick read.

Thank you to the author and publisher for the review copy.

I honestly don't know what to say about this book. It's a memoir without a strong point, but with a good story nonetheless. It's one of those books that I read and found myself knowing, without a doubt, that the author was feeling it more deeply than the pages were able to express.

But I also think that the anticipation I had while reading it is not unlike the anticipation the author had while living it and the anticipation that most of us have while living our own lives - we always think the big thing is just ahead of us, the next thing is right around the corner, one more page and it's suddenly going to make sense and explode into the fullness of whatever expectations we've thought we had. And then...nothing. Just another day. Just another breath. Just another story that feels big in the moment, but in all things, is really just another small part of our small story. Our small story that is, for some unfathomable reason, so incredibly blessed. Unfathomable but for the grace of God, who loves us that deeply.

It reminds me of how small my own story is, of how all of the big things I've faced and fought still amount to just this small story in this great big thing that God is doing, and...that's oddly comforting. I'm not sure if it's what the author intended, but it's what I got out of it, and I thank him for sharing.

This book is a compelling read that offers a raw and honest portrayal of the author’s life. The premise is engaging, and it’s clear that he poured his heart and soul into this work. While I found the book ultimately rewarding, I did find myself needing to pause at certain points since it felt a little long in parts. However, the depth of the author’s vulnerability is admirable and it’s inspiring to witness his journey toward self-improvement and connection with God. I’m sure his story will resonate with many others who are seeking change.

A Row With Two Chairs: Creating a Life …
Scott Laurence Mocha

What an absolutely incredible book. God has mightily moved in Mr. Mocha's life and it shows. His life has not been easy, but it sure has been impactful. I love redemption stories. It's so hard to even express the awe and wonder of reading what has occurred in Mocha's life after giving God 30 days to show He was real, and wow did God ever show up.
I highly recommend this book. It would make for a wonderful study in a small group, and it most certainly will help others share their own stories.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher and Netgalley.
