A little disappointed with this one, it started off strong with a good premise, a real dead body turns up at a murder mystery weekend, then it felt as if lost a little of its momentum in the final third. Rina Martin is a likeable character, a modern day Miss Marple, but it felt as though she was on the sidelines a bit too much as the book went on, I would have preferred her to be more active in the later stages.

I love these books, spending time with Rina and her ‘family’ is so comfortable; they really feel like old friends. There is always a satisfying mystery to solve too. This one actually has a body in the library and an assortment of suspects. The real beauty of this series however, is the setting, both the seaside and Rina’s house; as well as the beautifully eccentric characters.

Murder at the Hotel is the latest Rina Martin mystery. This is the first book by Jane Adams that I have read, but it definitely won’t be my last. I enjoyed the story and can’t wait for more.

Thanks to Netgalley for this ARC. Sadly I couldn't focus on the story...it was very slow for me and my mind kept wandering. So many names of characters and it feels very back in the day murder mystery and that's not my thing.
