A confusing blurb had me mistakenly anticipate a possible relationship between Miranda and London, though it was quickly cleared out when the two mc met.

It was a sweet and slow pace romance where two mc met on vacation island during different assignments, their attraction with each other were immediate, conversations flowed easily, though I had a some issue with insta-love, I still thoroughly enjoyed it, it's a solid good book written by author.

Special thanks to netgalley and publisher for the arc.

Okay, WOW. Thank you NetGalley for sending me this copy and finding me a new author that I enjoy reading. This is why I love NetGalley, because I can explore different authors and find my favorites. Can't Buy Me Love was very enjoyable. Georgia Beers knows how to describe authors perfectly and it feels like you're watching this play out right in front of you. I definitely didn't expect the plot twist to happen. You would expect London to fall in love with Miranda, because that's how the story usually pans out. But I was shocked when the story line went with London falling for Kalya (which was Miranda's Ex-girlfriend) and head security for high end actresses/important people. I really liked how London was a former model, turn journalist/writer, who exposed the truths. Her article about how millionaires differentiate from ordinary people was very shocking but it was all truthful. I really enjoyed this author and I'm excited to read more books by her.

I wasn't too sure what to rate this book but I settled for around 4 stars read. It is a good cosy romance book with a bit of drama on the side. The characters are likeable which is always a plus (I found Kayla to be the most likeable - with a few side characters sticking my liking too!).

The concept of the story line is one I have not seen before. You get a lot of billionaire romances but you don't see ones with the character researching into their world - thus, I really enjoyed it! I did wish we got more insight into what London ended up writing in her book.

I really liked the twist of which character knew who and a bit of drama with the actresses fan. The ending scenes were quite romantic and I also really enjoyed how it all tied in together.

As someone who doesn't like a lot of descriptive paragraphs that are not really part of the action, I did struggle at times as there are loads of those in the book. It dragged out some scenes a bit and sometimes they felt like they were not that necessary. I also wished the chapter were shorter and not just divided between the characters in one chapter - then they could be character specific.

Nonetheless, I see how this read be everything other readers are looking for and would recommend if someone is looking for a quite quick summer holiday romance read.

This wasn't the best of Beers books. I enjoyed her most recent one much more than this.

London Granger was a model, now a writer and gets a big break when she pitches an idea for a story about billionaires with the elusive Miranda Northbrooke who whisks her off on vacation to see how the other half lives.

Kayla Tennyson is a bodyguard to celebrities and has built her company from the ground up and made it one of the most successful private security firms in the country.

London and Kayla meet and there is an instant connection, but there are complications galore. The blurb was a little misleading in regards to why London is with Miranda and there was a ton of miscommunication. It was a very very slow burn with not much relationship between the MCS till the very end.

Overall, it wasn't a bad book. but it won't be at the top of my favorites list. I received and an ARC from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

A romance set against the glamorous backdrop of St. Kitts between a former model turned journalist and a self-made security mogul. Their chemistry is undeniable, and the story beautifully explores themes of trust, authenticity, and ambition. With smart dialogue, sizzling tension, and heartfelt moments, this book is a winner for me.

This is one of those books where the side characters and friendships really shined for me rather than the main plot. I did really like the chemistry between Kayla and London. Most of the time I don't favor the instant attraction/instant love angle, but something about them made it work. Their interactions were cute and the whole situation with Miranda created an impending sense of disaster that kept me reading. However, the relationships between Kayla and Aria, Miranda and London, Kayla and her mom, etc, appealed more to me. Particularly, I liked Miranda and London's relationship. At first Miranda isn't painted in the best light, but as London sees more to her than the stereotypical, so do we. I ended up rooting for their friendship a lot by the end of the novel. Overall, while not my favorite from Georgia Beers, "Can't Buy Me Love" is still a cute fun read. 4.1/5 stars.

This was an enjoyable and quick summer read. The billionaire resort setting was interesting, and Miranda in particular was an interesting, morally grey character. The two leads were well developed and had excellent chemistry. However, not much happened in the book throughout, and the romantic storyline didn’t feel meaty enough to carry the whole story without much else happening. An enjoyable read with good characters, but not the author’s strongest in my view.

London Granger is at a high end resort with Miranda Northbrooke, researching a story on the super wealthy. The last thing she should be doing is falling for a security guard.

Kayla Tennyson is there to guard her client, Aria, and shouldn't be interested in London, especially as she sensed something off with her story.

Despite everything, they're drawn together, but will Londons secret end it all? Especially since Kayla is Miranda's ex and thinks they're a couple?

Good read, as expected from Georgia Beers. Good characters, sweet romance, loved the ending too. There is no third act breakup too, which is a relief.

4/5 stars.

If you’re looking for your next great romcom, Can’t Buy Me Love should be one that you consider. This was a funny romcom that was very enjoyable.

In Can't Buy Me Love by Georgia Beers, the spark between former model and investigative journalist, London Granger, and security specialist and owner of Tennyson Security, Kayla Tennyson, is intense and immediate. They meet in St. Kitts while Kayla is guarding a famous actress and while London is there on a journalist assignment with billionaire Miranda Northbrooke,. London is working on a piece for the media company that she works for about “What’s it Really Like to Be a Billionaire?”. So London gets to follow Miranda around for a week on glitzy St. Kitts to develop her article and eventually a book.

However, there are a lot of complications along the way including a stalker for the actress that Kayla is guarding, the fact that Miranda and Kayla had a year-long past relationship, and the fact that London is posing as Miranda's current partner/girlfriend.

As far as the eventual relationship between London and Kayla, they had a lot of chemistry on the island, but it was a long, slow burn. For many reasons, they don't ultimately connect until they are back home in New York City. The book was well written, a quick read for me, and I enjoyed the chemistry of the two main characters. The book could have continued for another few chapters to provide a full summary of their relationship back in NYC though. 4.25 stars

I received an ARC from Bold Strokes Books and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

London Granger gave up her modeling career for investigative journalism only to discover no one would hire her to write anything but fluff. The only way to get ahead? Investigate something people will actually read. That’s how her next assignment becomes “What’s it Really Like to Be a Billionaire?” Her boss hooks her up on a glitzy getaway to St. Kitts undercover, as the totally platonic companion of media mogul Miranda Northbrooke.

Tennyson Security protects the rich and famous, and Kayla Tennyson built it from the ground up. She has more money than she can spend, but sorting through the fakes and finding someone honest and genuine is tough. She tried with Miranda Northbrooke, and it ended in disaster. But the gorgeous writer she meets while protecting a movie star on St. Kitts just might be the real deal. Until she learns London and Miranda are at the resort together.

London isn’t sure what she expected of Miranda’s ex, but it certainly wasn’t strength and beauty. And while Kayla would like to write London off as Miranda’s new plaything, she can’t get past how smart and funny she is. London and Kayla are perfect for one another, but if London reveals the ruse, she risks not only the opportunity of her career, but Kayla’s trust as well.

Georgia Beers delights again! I loved the dynamics between London and Kayla. It was so much fun to read! I wish there was a little more steam in the book, but the evolution of the relationship was fun without it. The ending felt a bit rushed, but overall, I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys slowburn sapphic romance!

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced digital reader's copy (ARC) in exchange for an honest review!

Can’t By Me Love had me reading half the night, I didn’t want to put it down. Beers is one of those authors you don’t need to look at the blurb before you buy or read it, you know you won’t be disappointed and will enjoy it.

It’s not your typical storyline to true love and although the spark is quick, hot and fiery, the actual journey for London and Kayla is a long slow one. A slight blemish for me is that perhaps it took too long for these two to sort their stuff out, so it felt a tad rushed at the end. However, we do get to have some interesting interaction between London and Miranda, plus other secondary characters. I’m not sure I feel too sorry for the super rich though.

An ideal beach read. Highly recommend Can’t Buy Be Love. (I dare you not to sing the Beatles song every time you read the title, haha)

I loved London and Kayla as a couple and how they met and fell for each other. However, one kiss shared and then just a lot of misunderstandings so they do not get together until 95% of the book had passed and then that is just briefly described and then a very short epilogue two years later. I usually like a slow burn romance but this was way to slow and in the end almost a fade to black moment. A little more spice and a longer epilogue would have greatly improved the book.

would like to thank netgalley and the publisher for letting me read this book

an ex model turned journalist and would be writer london grainger was bored writing her fluff pieces for the newspaper she worked for....so when she pitched a new idea to her editor, she was very much glad he ran with it and introduced her to the woman that was about the change her life....

miranda northbrooke was a billionaire, and the plan was that london would join her for a week away at st kitts where the wealthy and the rich partied hard.... or relaxed ...whatever they wanted was available at their fingertips... it was the story of a lifetime for london

Kayla Tennyson had built her business Tennyson securities from the ground up and business was booming... word of mouth was very much what kept kayla successful and her many clients always felt safe with her around

kayla's client was holidaying in st kitts before she was back to filming, she was trying to relax but with fame came the need to escape and be herself...most people got it but a few exceptions were there hence the need for security to keep them away....

kayla and london were both not expecting the draw of attraction to happen to them whilst at st kitts and neither could explain to each the truth they were under and the misunderstanding abound....

what a fun read this one was.... such an easy flowing storyline that captured everything about st kitts to how the other half live ...is the grass greener on the other side.... this book hints at those answers but its the storyline between kayla and london that has you wondering about the what ifs....

you always know you are in for a good read with a georgia beers book and this book does not disappoint.

It was not for me. The story did not come as I expected. It didn't hit me that way. Sorry.
Maybe next time I'll give a 5 star review.
