I absolutely love Patricia Gibney and the Lottie Parker series. Having read all 14 books in the series this one did not disappoint and kept me turning pages and reading on.
For once did not have a clue who the murderer was or just how twisted they’d end up being.
Totally recommend this book to all fans of murder and police procedural books.
Thank you for my advanced copy to read, thoroughly enjoyed.
I love Patricia Gibney and this series is one of my all time favourites
I was so excited to receive this review book
I was hooked and couldn't put it down. 5 stars
Wow! Loved it! Gripped from the start, as always with this series. I did need to concentrate to keep up with all the connections and characters, but that was fine! As always with this series, this one is highly recommended
I have read all the Lottie Parker series and this one did not disappoint. So many twists and turns that have you wondering all the way through. Great characterisation and very well written. Did not guess the perpetrator which is definite plus for me. Look forward very much to the next offering. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.
This is book is #14 in the Detective Lottie Parker series but can easily be read as a standalone. I’ve read the whole series and highly recommend it.
A young woman’s body is found lying on a grassy area first thing in the morning and she is identified as Laura Nolan, who never made it home from a night out. Her mum, Diana, reveals that Laura was out on a date but she doesn’t know who with. Lottie and the team are busily investigating the case when another young woman, Shannon Kenny, goes missing after getting into a taxi near the same bar that Laura had been in.
Lottie then finds a connection between the two young women and the race is on for the team to catch Laura’s killer and find Shannon alive.
Another gripping episode in this series with plenty of twists and turns, and an unexpected ending. I read it in record time!
Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for an advance reader copy in return for an honest review.
Excellent book as always love Lottie Parker and her team especially Boyd. It starts with the discovery of a teenage girl who had been murdered then another body is found the investigation is getting complicated as Lottie thinks there must be a connection but where to start.
The whole series is amazing and love to see how Lottie and Boyd are getting on.
Thank you to Netgalley and Bookouture for an ARC
This was one of my favourite books in this series. It kept you hooked all the way through. The ending let it down though. It was all a bit confusing, too many connections to keep track of.
This latest book in the Lottie Parker series is just as good, if not better, than the other 13! The storyline is fascinating and the characters well crafted. I would thoroughly recommend.
Here we are on book fourteen in the Detective Lottie Parker series, and what an instalment it is! Having read (and thoroughly enjoyed) the whole series, it’s easy for me to see how far Lottie and her team have come, in terms of character development - I feel invested in them and their futures. Right from the start, the author creates a sense of menace, this feeling doesn’t let up and I found myself turning the pages of my Kindle at a rapid rate – I needed to know what was going to happen next. The story is told from multiple points of view, which keeps the tale flowing and in turn builds and maintains the tension. I did work out who the perpetrator was, but their reason completely astonished me.
Another great Lotti Parker book. I must say of all the detectives series I read - I can't warm with her team. Kirby and Boyd are the best and kindest.. all the other ones, really unpleasant - and this time also Lottie.. her attitude was so ANNOYING ( her discussion with Boyd about the new house and their children - OMG )
The story though, was really captivating and it kept me awake much longer than intended :) The different POVs were great and towards the end I was like " WHOOO IS IT DAMN IT ".
Overall great book.
What a thriller! This is a fast-paced novel that I could not put down. There are so many different threads between the victims that you will never guess whodunit. And we get some more information about Lottie’s home life and how muddled and messy it is. And the struggle continues for Lottie and Boyd to find a home for their large, blended family. Boyd’s sister Grace makes an appearance, and I loved the interaction between them. I love the Lottie novels, and I cannot wait to read the next one.
I am always happy when there is a new Lottie Parker for me to read and this time is no exception. Lucky I was on holiday because I couldn't put it down until I knew how it all fit together. This one is particularly well constructed. There are so many pieces of the puzzle that it is amazing they all come together in the end. Patricia Gibney really has made these characters her own and she writes in such a natural way, the reader can't stop until they know what happens in the story, but also what happens to Lottie and her family. Hugely enjoyable, as always.
Her Last Walk Home is a fast paced read that has you turning the pages as quickly as you can.
Lottie, Boyd and the team are back on another challenging case when a young girl is found dead.
It doesn't stop there as more bodies are discovered and someone else's daughter is missing.
Lottie is doing her best to juggle home life, work and her relationship with Boyd.
The pressure is on for the team and the clock is racing for the missing girl.
Lottie feels in her heart that these cases are all connected but how.
They are missing something.
Who can they actually believe.
This series just keeps getting better and better and Her Last Walk Home is my favourite to date.
Until Book 15 that is.
Highly recommend this book and the entire series .
You wont want to put the books down.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for another amazing read in the Lottie Parker series.
Thank you to Netgallery and the publisher for this ARC. The publication date is the 20th Sept. I found this book a little slow at the start but then it eventually took off and in the end I couldn’t put it down with many twists and turns! I’d highly recommend this book 😊
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.
When the body of a young woman is found, Detective inspector Lottie Parker and her team are on the case. It’s not long until another body is found. Lottie has to determine if they are linked and how.
Love this book series. I feel really invested in Lottie, her family, her team and her relationship with Boyd. The author has done a great job making these characters believable and likeable. The storyline was fast and furious and I couldn’t turn my kindle pages fast enough. I would say the big reveal was complicated and I did have to reread a couple of pages-that’s not a criticism more a symptom of me rushing my way through with enjoyment. I enjoy how down to earth and real Lottie is. The detail about her family life and the worries she/they have make this relatable. I very much need a happy ending to Lottie’s relationship with Boyd! In this book she was colder toward him, although definitely thawing towards the end.
It's a fact that the street, when it's dark, is not a safe place especially for young women. They are often told to take a bus or a taxi, but are you really protected from danger there? After all you don't know who the other passengers are or what goes through their minds or are the drivers not some deranged predators? The best thing is to stick with a friend, but it would be a lot better still if the world could be a better place where you would not fear danger lurking around every corner.
When disaster happens, Lottie is called in and together with her team they won't rest before the have the culprit behind bars. Detectives and police officers are human and this means they not only have cases to solve, but they have a family life that needs their attention too. It's not easy for them to keep all the plates spinning and they are always racing against the clock.
I hope, now Lottie has been able to solve this complex case, she will find the time to put some order in her personal life as well.
There are quite a few skeletons tumbling out of the closet and it's not easy for Lottie and her team to piece everything together. They never give up though and I was shocked when the name of the mastermind was announced. I never would have picked that name.
It's terrifying to realise that one person can hold something over so many others, but in the end they will get caught. Unfortunately they leave a trail of pain and terror.
Another hefty read in this incredibly amazing series. 5 stars
Thank you
The latest sage of Lottie Parker and her team does not disappoint. This starts off with the discovery of a young woman’s body and turns into a multiple murder spree with no clue who is responsible only that all the victims knew each other in some way and now another young woman has gone missing and it’s a race against time to find her before it’s too late. As always I loved this!
Young girls are disappearing and being found dead. Lottie and her team are at a loss as to what is happening, until they find a connection between the girls.
Love the Lottie Parker series. I don't know if she is succeeding in her struggle to juggle work and home life, as well as a relationship - because she is constantly tired, but still manages to solve multiple cases.
She is dedicated to her family and to her job, and I hope that she finally finds a happy medium between the two.
Looking forward to the next book in this series.
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for the opportunity to read this book.
This was so fast paced, that I couldn’t turn the pages fast enough. Lottie and gang are back when the body of a young woman is found dead. Then a couple more turn up, plus a possible missing person. What is the connection between them all or is there even a connection? Lottie had her work cut out for her, especially when she feels so many people are lying to her. Of course, her and Boyd are still trying to figure out their relationship. It doesn’t help that Lottie keeps putting up walls. I enjoyed this one a lot. There were a lot of pov’s to keep the story flowing and I was honestly surprised by who the killer was and the reason why. Excellent addition to the series.
This is such a thrilling story. Lottie always has so much stress going on in her life. Between her family and her job she’s always pulled in so many different directions. Her current cases are very baffling in the beginning. As she follows the clues we are all over the place. I really enjoyed unraveling the clues. This is a very twisted storyline. Lots of twists and turns. I can’t wait for the next book in the series. g to it. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
