MAKE ME WANT IT TOO - RAE KENNEDY - ARC
Honestly one of the best books I've read in a while, I couldn't put it down, I read it start to finish in about 3 hours! It has everything you need in a romance book, it's funny, heartwarming, beautiful. Literally everything you want and expect from a romance.
It's quite spicy 🌶️🌶️🌶️
I loved it! Would recommend it to romance readers! It is book two in a series but I never felt as though I missed out on anything by not reading book 1 so can deffo be read as a standalone! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Make Me Want It Too is my first book from this author, and I enjoyed this standalone romance story a lot. Macy has been with her boyfriend Spencer for 6 years and their relationship seems to be at a standstill. That standstill becomes even more apparent when her best friend Bex announces her engagement to her boyfriend Jake after being together for months. Macy wants more but her boyfriend Spencer is comfortable just where they are in their relationship, and their discussion leads to their breakup. Macy now needs a date to Bex's wedding because Bex's fiancé Jake, is Spencer's brother. Wood is not only in their circle of friends, but he has secretly been in love with Macy for years. He knows Macy deserves more than what Spencer has been giving her, and he gets his chance to prove she deserves more when he pretends to be her date for the wedding and its activities. Their story was one that was filled with greats friends and family, it was sweet, funny, and steamy. There's also family drama, jealousy, a lot of crying on Macy's part which was a bit much and had a sweet that left me with a smile on my face. This may have been my first book from this author, but it definitely won't be my last. I enjoyed this story and lot and would recommend it to all of my romance loving friends.

Coming out of a 6 year relationship with a narcissist, Macy struggles with feeling wanted and being accepted for who she is. Wood has had a crush on Macy for 6 years, always hanging in the background watching her being put down by her boyfriend.
After Macy and her ex break up, she has to go to a wedding where her ex is the best man and she's the maid of honor. Enter Wood, who agrees to be her fake boyfriend. These two are so cute, yet a little awkward with each other. Both fight feelings they have for each other, anticipating they aren't enough for the other.
I loved how supportive Wood was with Macy. He was patient and constantly learning what she needed. Even overcoming his anxiety with needles to help her while she was in a diabetic crisis. I absolutely loved how much he cared for her. There were some inconsistencies with Wood's character, but he was overall very love-able.
Thanks for the opportunity to read an arc copy of Wood and Macy's story!

I liked it. Pretty good. A good amount of spice. FMCs insecurities did get in the way a lot, regardless of the MMCs attentiveness. Still would recommend. Would be a good pallet cleanser.
Thanks so much for the eARC!

Overall I liked this book. Macy was a bit needy but with her past relationship - I can believe that that affected her self esteem a lot. The MMC was such a cutie - with his little and big gestures and his obvious love for Macy - it was adorable. It was definitely spicy too, My only critiques would be the MMC use of the word girl and girlfriend lol - "I got you girl" and "Of course, girlfriend". It just didn't mesh well with the hot, ladies man persona he was supposed to have. Without giving much away - I also was left with so many questions about the wedding and what and why all "that" happened. I never got closure on any of that. Id read more of this authors books though. 3.5 stars

This was okay. I felt Macy's insecurities got the best of her and it became a bit too much. There was no growth, not even a little bit. She solely relied on Wood to boost her self-esteem.
The story was okay but not very memorable.

Thank you NetGalley, Rake Publishing and Rae Kennedy for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The same characters from Make Me Dream of You are in this - it’s not absolutely necessary to read that first although it was a good book and really helps to understand the relationships better so I would recommend it.
Macey and Wood are my favorite! Wood is such a golden retriever but not cheesy. Macey is someone so relatable and normal, feeling like an outsider in her own life.
This is a spicy book with explicit content and lots of swearing. I attempted to read this on a plane and found myself blushing more than normal at the thought of someone next to me reading these spicy scenes!

This was such a fun rom-com. The perfect quick summer read with lightness, humor, and the best amount of spice. A fake relationship that quickly turns real amidst wedding drama....what ore do you need? Highly recommend.

The follow up romance to Make Me Dream of You did not disappoint. When FMC Macey gets dumped by her boyfriend of six years, she turns to her longtime friend Wood for a temporary place to stay. Wood is happy to help as he has been crushing on Macey for years. When Macey's best friend Bex announces her surprise engagement to her ex's brother, Macey doesn't know how she make it through the wedding. Wood offers to be her plus one and spends the week doting on Macey and giving her all the orgasms. A spicy, fake dating romance with an HEA that serves as a good reminder to never settle.

This story follows Macy who recently goes through a breakup only to have to see her ex at the upcoming wedding between her best friend and his brother. So in order to get through the event, she brings along Wood as her fake boyfriend, not knowing that Wood has carried a torch for her for years. The lines begin to blur leaving both wondering what’s fake and what’s real.
If acts of service is your love language then this book is for you. Wood was great. He was down bad for Macy from the beginning. I loved how thoughtful he was. Studying up on her illness, making sure she had food she needed, finding her rooms so she could test. And this man clearly knows what he’s doing if you catch my drift 🥵🌶️🌶️🌶️.
I really did want to like Macy but it wasn’t as easy for me. Macy is extremely insecure and the focus on that overshadowed what I’m sure could have been great qualities in her. But because we don’t get to see that in her, I couldn’t help but think “okay but why does Wood like her?” To be clear, her insecurities made sense, considering how her ex treated her, but at a certain point it got to be too much.
Overall this book for me was just okay. Some good parts were there but also there were some pretty frustrating ones.

This was good in the forst 20%. I found it to be very cheesy during the spicy scenes. I really wanted the FMC to be a lot confident. She seemed very immature and insecure. Which made it feel like the MMC treated her like she was a baby. I'm not sure. I found ot hard to believe their connection.

I really enjoyed this friend's to lovers, close proximity romance. It had high steamy scenes with some play which some may find difficult to read. As always a strong, loving male lead who is devoted to the female lead and her needs.

.He falls first
.It's only been you
.Cinnamon roll MMC
.Fake dating
.One bed
Well, this one wasn't for me. I tried, I pushed myself to finish it, but it just never pulled me in.
