This book hits all the classic rom-com beats but manages to do so with charm and heart. The dynamic between the maid of honor and the best man—who just happens to be her best friend's brother—is filled with tension, unspoken feelings, and a bit of meddling from family members. You can’t help but root for the characters to reconnect, even though you know it’s going to be a bumpy road.

The protagonist is relatable, with her inner conflict over Jamie’s sudden reappearance in her life after breaking her heart. The chemistry between the two is undeniable, especially when Jamie reveals that he missed her every day while he was away. The emotional tug-of-war between the two, set against the backdrop of a wedding, adds layers to the story. It's equal parts sweet and frustrating as they work through their feelings.

The meddling family aspect gives the story a lighthearted tone and provides some comic relief, which balances the emotional depth of the characters. The romance is slow-burn enough to keep you invested but sweet enough that you feel like you're watching your favorite romantic comedy play out in the pages.

As part of the Bake My Day With Love series, this book stands well on its own but adds even more richness if you’re already familiar with the other books. If you're a fan of sweet romances with humor and heartfelt moments, I'd Never Date My Best Friend's Brother is the perfect weekend read.

This book was such a good read! Between the romance, sneaking around, fighting the attraction, would definitely recommend!

This was my first book by this author, and I loved it! It’s a sweet, clean romance with second chances, a best friend’s brother, and a brother’s best friend. Jamie and Evie are the main characters, and Jamie comes back into Evie’s life after leaving her. Even though Evie tried to hide her feelings, they still have a strong connection. With some help from the matchmaking bride and groom, their story is just lovely.

I swooned and laughed the whole way through. Jamie and Evie are great together, and the side characters are fantastic. The story was so adorable, and the epilogue was a nice touch, showing us what their future looks like.

*Thank you to NetGalley, Abby Greyson, and Independently Published, for providing the opportunity to read this eARC in exchange for a review, but all thoughts are my own*

3.5/5 ⭐

I want to start by thanking the author for giving me an ARC. Thank you so much! 😊

"I'd Never Date My Best Friend's Brother" is a cute holiday romance full of warm, fuzzy moments, but it didn't totally hit the mark for me. The story is sweet, and if you’re in the mood for something light and festive, it’s a fun read. 🎄💕

But honestly, Jamie, the main guy, was a bit of a disappointment. 😒 The whole story is about him and Evie trying to get back together, but Jamie just kept messing up. He took a break from their relationship without really explaining why and then just showed up again like everything was fine. It was super frustrating, and he didn’t seem to understand how much he hurt Evie. For most of the book, Jamie is really indecisive and doesn’t take responsibility for what he did. It made it hard to root for him as the love interest because Evie deserved someone who actually cared about her feelings. 😤

That being said, Jamie does get better towards the end. 🙌 He finally realizes his mistakes and tries to make things right, which made me like him more. It’s nice to see him grow, and it made the ending more satisfying. Even with that, though, the book still has some fun parts, especially the festive scenes and the side characters, who are pretty awesome. 🎅🎉 Overall, it’s a good read, but Jamie’s flaws, even with his redemption, keep it from being amazing.

Thank you NetGalley for the E-ARC.
Tropes:
- best friends brother
- Brothers best friend
- Small town
- Second chance

This was a fast paced read, it was a cute romance, closed door. It wasn’t my favourite book, the best friends brother AND brothers best friend was a bit much but also I did find it cute that two best friends found love with two best friends, with both families growing up together. It was an all round cute romance

I'd Never Date My Best Friend's Brother is such a cute story that lets us see how happy the previous couples are while allowing Jessica and Sean to try to get Evie and Jamie together. And just like always everyone always knows before the couple does. Steve is still a hoot and I enjoyed all of his appearances. Just when I think this series can't get any better, Author Abby Greyson puts out yet another amazing book. This book has the characters from the previous books who are coming together to celebrate Jessica and Sean's wedding. There is a lot of fun, scheming, sweetness, and teasing. This book explores themes of forgiveness, personal growth, and the idea that sometimes love requires taking risks and confronting the past.

I really wanted to love this romcom but i just didnt feel it. Im not even one to quickly dnf but i just couldnt keep going.
First, the writing is mediocre, it mostly feels extremely dramatic, even more than some of the young adults ive read.
Second, while im definitely all for a best friend's brother/brother's best friend trope, having both in one book feels very strange, reminding me of amateur fanfics ive read when i was young. To explain, theres two sets of siblings, both with an older brother and a younger sister. The brothers are best friends and the sisters are best friends. One of the brothers is marrying his best friends sister/sisters best friend, and now the other 2 are getting it on (So 4 people with lines between all of them).
Third, the fmc is extremely unlikeable, gets mad for no reason, and again seems dramatic.

I have to note that i have not read the other books in the series, and perhaps i could have enjoyed this more if i already knew the characters.

Im sorry, i wish i liked this.

Thank you to netgalley and the author for sending me the book in exchange for an honest review

sweet quick read, it is the 3rd in a series, I think it would be easier to follow the story if you had read the first two. I enjoyed the story.

OK this is a very nice read. So why the 3 stars? Well, because the story lagged a bit for me. I liked the characters but it took quite a while before anything happened. Many chapters drag on with dual POV's about how they feel, react etc. All the while they were hanging out with their family (his best friend is engaged to his sister) and playing games. It felt a bit like a YA novel.

This was the first book in the series I read, but that was no problem.

***Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book***

- Second Chance
- Sibling's Best Friend
- Holiday Romance
- Small Town

It should be noted I did not read book one and two in the series. Saying that I may have felt more connected to all the characters if I had. But I felt I did not miss out on too much.

This is a very wholesome holiday romance. It was very Hallmark Christmas Movie like. Minus the big honcho from the city trying to take something down.

It was a cute concept, I just wanted more substance. It felt too rushed, she went from being the hulk to having cartoon hearts in .2 seconds with him. But maybe there was more to their back story in the first two books that I missed.

Overall if you are looking for a sweet holiday read with no spice, you should enjoy this.

When Jamie left town, he broke Evie’s heart. Not having contacted her for six months has led her to question everything. Now that he is back for a wedding, Jamie knows that he must do everything that he can to win her back.
A sweet romance between two likable characters, who obviously care for each other but must overcome the challenges that have come from being apart. This was well developed in the dual point of view provided.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

4⭐️ Thank you to NetGalley and BookBuzz for an early release of I’d Never Date My Best Friend’s Brother.

This is the third book in the Bake My Day series. This is a second chance romance book that follows Jamie and Evelyn. They have known each other since they were little and love blossomed unexpectedly but Jamie left town for a job and broke Evelyn’s heart. But seeing her again after six months he realizes he wants her back and will do whatever it takes to win her over again.

It is such a cute heartwarming series of books and the perfect read if you just want to feel happy!

This story tugs at your heart. I laughed, cried, and felt for these characters. Abby is such a talented author and has a way of expressing emotions on paper. The feelings were presented so well. The minor references from previous books were perfect, and I was excited to spot them. Healing is a challenging process, and the book conveys it perfectly. My favourite part was people's emotions and honest reactions in this situation.

This is a 3rd book in a series

with dual pov, family vibes and banter and by the title you can see its best friends brother trope and second chance romance

This all starts when 6 months ago jamie and evie had a fling whilst trying to set their siblings (and also best friends) up but he broke it off to move to a new city and start a new job

He’s back now though and realises how much he regrets

His sister and her brother are also currently in the process of getting married meaning as the maid of honour and best man they HAVE to spend time with each other doing their duty’s according to their brother and sister who have clearly set the whole thing up

i haven’t read the first two books but i would say you probably need to read the other books in the series to get a fuller picture of them as a couple as in the book they already know each other quite well and there is no build up to the relationship

it’s basically just them getting back together and him winning her back

it’s very cutesy christmas vibes and there are some good family banter with the side characters who appear in the other 2 books

but for me it could have been longer with more detail/build up of the relationship with it being their book

i also felt the ending was also quite rushed and then just jumped ahead 6 years.

2.5🌟

Loved reading the highly recommended romance story. When Jamie broke things off with Evie, Evie's heart was broken, and six months later, Jamie's back in town. Read the wonderfully written and a must read riveting love story.
