What a great trio of stories by some of my favorite authors!! I admit I wondered how a novella could capture a complex suspense story in such a short amount of pages. But these ladies delivered! I was so involved in the stories, I never even thought about the length. They even made the supporting characters so interesting, I want to read books about them. If you like suspense, action, and a touch of romance, this book is for you. I received an advance copy from the publisher/authors but all opinions are my own.

I jumped at the chance to review Cornered by three of my favorite authors. Lynette Eason’s In the Dark has Tate Cooper from her Lake City Heroes series assisting Steph Cross look into her friends death.

Downfall is a novella linked to Lynn H. Blackburn’s Gossamer Falls series. Cassie Quinn of the Quinn’s is the chef at the resort when she’s targeted. The police chief tasked her ex-boyfriend Detective Donovan Bledsoe to protect her.

Natalie Walters brings us Perilous Obsession, with Lahela Young, who has connections to her Snap Agency series. When Lahela is targeted, her friend Briggs Turner, a former police officer, steps in to protect her.

I have read the series of all three and the novellas just add to the stories. I give them a thumbs.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This trilogy of books is a must read. In The Dark by Lynette Eason you meet Steph Cross helping Tate Cooper find out who killed one of her best friends and why. Great suspense and you can't figure out the bad guys till the end.
In Downfall by Lynn Blackburn you meet Chef Cassie Quinn who must lay aside some old fears and help Donavan Bledsoe figure out who hates her and her cooking enough to destroy her livelihood. Great mystery till the end.
In Perilous Obsession by Natalie Walters, you'll help teacher Lahela Young and Briggs Turner figure out who holds a grudge and why. All three of these books are page turners and you don't won't to stop reading. Highly recommend this book by three great writers.
