A really good romance book, which I did enjoyed but I was a bit saddened by the ghosting and miscommunication. Overall it was fluffy and I did finished it.

The vibes were immaculate (perfect for the cozy season) and the writing style made getting lost in the story very easy. Overall the tone of this story was very gentle ~ however it got a little bit predictable at the end. The dual timeline was amazing and showcased the characters' growth and made it so much more easier to understand the feelings between them.

Both of the main leads were trying to fit into their own worlds before coming together and I loved that. They were as gentle as the overall tone of the story, respected each others boundaries and slowly came together. I couldn't really connect with either of them, which is a little sad and their story included one of my least favorite tropes ~ but that's totally on me.

This was unexpected and I loved it. The weaving of the letters they wrote in college with present day was really good. They really are soulmates and I love them.

Even so, the unexpected encounter brings back memories of their painful past and various unresolved emotions.

I always love the fun writing style that Elodie has. It always makes reading her books a lot more enjoyable. Despite being fast-paced, it doesn't feel rushed. The nature setting is my favorite aspect of this book. Exploring the forest, observing wildlife, and camping are among their activities. The mild adult scenes compared to the other two books is also one thing I like. It's not too spicy. Haha.

If you're looking for a warm romance story about second chances that includes letters, nature, bears, camping, and cozy fall vibes, this book is for you!

The way this book gave me the warm and fuzzy feels 🙌🏻 I think we were still in 30-degree weather here one Sunday when I opened this up and did not put it down until I was done. The fall vibes, the cozy small town setting, the outdoors, the scenery, and these characters all made for the perfect romance to pick up this fall.

Charlee is a journalist, savoring her freedom and embracing the constant travelling to new places. She never likes to revisit the past -she likes to leave it just where it is. She especially doesn't like to revisit the memory of the man she exchanged letters with for a year, whose words gave her so much and who she had hoped to meet. Years later, in an effort to save her failing publication, she travels to British Columbia to shoot a documentary in Great Bear Rainforest, but she is floored when she finds out who she'll be working with.

Oliver loves his small town of Pine Falls. His job for Wild Planet suits him perfectly as he can unite his love of nature and the outdoors with his work. In an effort to raise the money he needs to save his families restaurant, he jumps at the chance to participate in a new documentary of a beloved, local rainforest. I adored this book! The back and forth between Charlee and Oliver was so witty, funny, and engaging. Their chemistry bubbled deliciously with every look, every touch, until they could no longer deny their feelings. There is so much heart and love poured into this novel, even among the pain that they both have to confront. Elodie has, again, pulled off such a beautiful story of love with rich and dynamic characters but never shied away from the hard stuff. She strikes the perfect balance!

I'm a big fan of cover illustrator Leni Kauffman, which is what initially drew me pick up this book, and while Unbearably Yours is my first Elodie Colliard romance but it won't be my last! I'll be going back to read about Avery and Josh as well as Miles and Riley. I'm also crossing my fingers for more stories set in Pine Falls, with Oli's super fun friends taking centre stage.
The pen pal premise was so sweet and while I know I wouldn't be able to help myself and would absolutely need to exchange phone numbers or email addresses, their dedication to their letters was heartwarming and definitely needed to help drive the plot. All's well in the end, though, and I found myself with watery eyes as I read the final pages.
My one criticism is that I was anticipating more of a focus on the documentary and definitely I needed more of a resolution around it--maybe in an epilogue? Can you blame me? I probably love bears just as much as Oli.

Second chance is not usually a trope I read because it makes me SAD!! I always end up crying, so I usually avoid it. HOWEVER, this book is an exception to that personal preference I have. I’ve never had such an immediate attachment to two characters and their happiness so quickly.

The setting is immaculate!! I love the vibes it gives to the story. It adds tension through the forced proximity and sometimes unsafe situations they find themselves in. It’s so cozy and warm and so perfect to read in the fall weather.

The letters starting from the beginning to the conflict that caused them to stop talking each other and the present day trip were SO GOOD!! I loved how we could feel how connected they were to each other because of the letters and how it bled through into their present day interactions.

I love how much they’re into each other. Even five years after they stopped talking to each other, they still knew each other so well. They cared for each other so deeply, even if Charlee tried to hide it away.

I appreciate how this book and characters took a stance on certain things. They mention the Indigenous people living in the area where they’re traveling and how to care and interact with them and the land. The articles that Charlee and Oliver send to each other talk about climate change and how serious it is.


THEY COMMUNICATE!! They don’t have a massive third act breakup because they don’t talk to each other. They TALK IT OUT!! They take the time to understand each other’s reasoning and work through it together.

This book is extremely emotional and full of love!! I adore it. I’m not even sure I can type out all my thoughts right now because of how much I love this book.

This is my first book from this author and it’s safe to say it won’t be the last. I actually went ahead and ordered not only a physical copy of this book but also her two others. This was cute, heartwarming, and everything that I needed to get me ready for the cozy season. I would highly recommend checking this book out. It was relatively fast - paced, but well written.

This was such an adorable, fall read. I loved the nature aspect of it, the second chance romance and the fact that it was set in a small town. It's a romance that is underrated & that I hope more people put it on their fall must read list.

Five years ago journalists Charlee and Oliver were supposed to finally meet but Oliver never showed and and Charlee was left heartbroken. Now thanks to a work assignment the two are forced to spend a week together as they film a documentary in the remote wilderness near Oliver's hometown of Pine Falls, BC.

I loved the neurodiversity rep and the inclusion of the letters in this story, we really get to see how Oli and Charlee become friends and fall in love. The way they have to work to forgive what happened in the past and take a chance on love again in the present was perfect and I especially enjoyed Oliver's found family/friend group and the cameos from the other couples in this series!

The book has alternating timelines, and I loved reading the letters they wrote to each other. I always looked forward to the next chapter. This, along with the beautiful rainforest setting, was just

I've really enjoyed reading the other books in this series, and this one was no exception. While it was slow to start, I really grew to love Oliver and Charlee. The dual timeline and dual POV really fleshed out their story and individual personalities, and I loved getting to see things from both of their perspectives.

Charlee was a great fmc. She's strong and resilient and cares deeply for those she loves. Oliver was also a fantastic love interest, he really is a cinnamon roll and would do anything for Charlee.

This was also the perfect book to read in fall! The setting was beautiful and I could really imagine being in Pine Falls.

This book was an extremely slow start for me for the first 50-60% and did almost DNF. I found myself frustrated that the whole premise of the book was built on miscommunication and the fact the characters would just not discuss the very reasonable explanation for why the MMC stood her up 5 years before. That felt a little unrealistic and frustrating, but I persevered and that being said, by the end I found the book enjoyable overall.

They were both very likeable main characters and their connection was so clear and moving to read. The FMC was a strong minded and feisty woman, who has spent the last five years constantly on the move and running from confronting her trauma. She definitely gave black cat character vibes. The MMC is a rugged, ‘cinnamon roll hero’, with a huge heart and a filthy mouth. He has faced his own share of trauma that he too has been navigating in his own way over the last 5 years.

I enjoyed the whole, secret pen pall trope and thought it was quite different. It turned out to be quite a moving exploration of fated love and second chances. It was extremely emotional throughout but I thought the author tackled topics such as grief and misogyny really well. It was duel POV and duel timeline, which kept the story interesting and if you are a slow burn lover, then this is a >80% slow burn, which will keep you turning the page and begging for the characters to make their moves. When they did though it was extremely rewarding!

This is my second book by this author, and I love them both, relatable characters and her writing style is beautiful. I was cheering for both the main characters and loved that they fell in love with each other through letters. If you want pull at your heart strings romance this is your book.
