"A woman I've thought about every day since my last year in college."

This was a very fast paced, quick romantic read for me! I definitely found it easy to become absorbed into the cosy, cute environment of the story and I was definitely intrigued by the premise and the characters. The characters were easy to follow along with, I found Oliver to be a cutie. I understand this 'miscommunication' was a part in the story and affected how this made the characters react but it was nice to still see the moments of chemistry between the two.

I enjoyed that, as a reader, we got the moments in the present between the two main characters and the flashbacks through their letters to each other. I also enjoyed that these past moments were moving along to match what was happening in the present - I enjoyed that the flashbacks and the letters added something to the story overall and didn't feel out of place.

What I would have loved to have seen more of is the building romance between them. I understand that they have the history together, but I just wanted a bit more chemistry and scenes of them together in the present rekindling this flame and finding each other again.

Thank you to Victory Editing for the eARC, I am voluntarily leaving a review.

Thank you for gifting me with this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was so cute. 2nd chance in a Small Town is not one you see often and this was executed so well.
The slow burn added to the Story line that sucked you right in from the beginning.
The dual timeline with the letters added that extra special touch to the book.
The cover was gorgeous, the characters were so sweet (can we say sweetest of the sweet Cinnamon Roll MMC?) and the setting was just beautiful.

Will be recommending the book for sure.

I absolutely loved this second chance romance between Charlee and Oliver. I really liked both of them as main characters and enjoyed reading from both of their povs. I also really loved the letter element in this story and the way that kind of gave a dual timeline to their story.
This story had emotion, adventure and so much love between two people who needed to find their way back to each other after unforeseen circumstances forced them apart.
Side note but that gorgeous cover would have convinced me to read this book even if I hadn’t read and loved the other two in this series.

Unbearably yours was amazing. The letter correspondence was my favorite part. The plot quickly drew me in and left me wanting answers about what had happened between Charlee and Oliver.

The dual timeline and dual POV kept the plot moving at the perfect pace. We were given information piece by piece without it feeling like it was too slow or too obvious. The plot was exciting and had the right amount of drama to keep me interested without it feeling over the top. Overall, I think this book was very well written and balanced.

I loved the ending and the epilogue was beautiful. I would love to see an extended epilogue with Char and Oli in the future.

✨ARC Review✨

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ for Unbearably Yours by Elodie Colliard

My first book by this author, and definitely not my last! I loved this story so so much!

First, I loved the format; how each chapter began with a letter from the past, so you get a dual timeline happening with a dual POV on top of that. Amazing. I loved seeing how their feelings grew in the past through those letters, and seeing how their love got a second chance in the present through the rest of the story.

Second, I adored Oliver! He's the sweetest cinnamon roll MMC, taking care of Charlee (which made me melt, I'm a sucker for a caretaking trope!) and falling so hard for his girl. The slow burn was slooooowwwww but it was worth it!

Third, Charlee! What a fun FMC, likeable and relatable, and the grand gesture she pulls off for Oliver had me tearing up.

Finally, the tropes! Lots of forced proximity, only one sleeping bag (loved that version of only one bed), found family vibes, second chance romance in a small town...perfection.

Thank you so much to Victory Editing Co-Op and Netgalley for a copy in exchange for a review. All opinions are my own.

Thankyou NetGalley for this ARC.

Absolutely loved this book ❤️ both Charlee and Oliver’s characters were great on their own but together it was so good, you could feel their chemistry and love for one another all the way through. Oliver as a ‘cinnamon roll MMC’ just melted my heart. The setting of this book in Pine Falls and beauty described in the nature was also next level.

That was a heartwarming story, I quite enjoyed it.

We have Charlee and Oliver, two souls brought together by a school project. They start writing letters and let it turn into something more. So they plan to meet. Unfortunately, the circumstances prevent them from doing so. Now years later, they have another chance.

I liked this story. I loved the description of nature and how appreciative of it they were. But I also loved how both Charlee and Oliver were affected by one another and tried to move past what happened but they couldn't just forget. Although I think the reason why Oliver couldn't meet her remained a mystery for too long. I understand what the author tried to do but for me it dragged on for a bit. I hate the miscommunication trope and while it wasn't bad here, I was hoping for something better.

The reasons why they couldn't write later... I don't like it lol. This whole Emilio issue was so dumb, it's like the author tried really hard for the characters to have obstacles on purpose but this but was forced. I didn't like it.

I enjoyed the story though and how much they reconnected after years. The spice was good but there was some tenderness in Oliver toward Charlee and I loved it. He was so gentle and amazing!! A cinnamon roll here is much better than an alpha man imo.

Unbearably Yours is the perfect book to read on a rainy autumn day, cozied up on the sofa under a pile of blankets while sipping on a hot drink.

release date: September 3, 2024
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

- Small town x Second chance romance
- Dual timeline (present + pen pal letters exchanged 5 years prior)
- Longing and pining for each other for years
- Forced proximity (one house, one lodge, one tent!!)
- MMC with the softest/kindest heart, he is dreamy!
- Black cat FMC (love her!!!!)
- Neurodivergent rep (mmc has Hypersensitivity)
- Likeable side characters
- ‘Secret identities’ of sorts

Charlee & Oliver ‘meet’ by chance when they are assigned as pen pals while in college. Over the course of one year, they exchange increasingly heartfelt letters that slowly have them falling for each other. Now, 5 years later and as many without contact, the two unexpectedly reunite due to their work.

As we slowly unravel just what happened 5 years prior to tear them apart, we also see them reignite all those feelings and fall for each other all over again. It was so sweet but also deliciously steamy!

Unbearably Yours is emotional, romantic, steamy and funny and I could not put it down!

Oliver had me absolutely giddy and kicking my feet. I love a tender-hearted, quiet man who can take charge when it counts! 🤭

The setting and atmosphere were fantastic too, I felt transported to the Canadian town of Pine Falls, BC and I never wanted to leave!

*many thanks to the author + Netgalley for the e-arc*

omggg what a beautiful, cozy book this was 🥹

I mean the scenery! The journey! These characters! Charlee and Oliver were just lovely, real and with big feelings, that just needed to heal a little.

I loved the way this book was formatted, it’s in dual timeline, with the past written in the form of letters between Charlee and Oliver five years prior. I LIVED for the letters and seeing the friendship form, they just understood each other so well, and when they didn’t have anyone they at least had each other. But it also had me hooked! Wanting to know more about what led to their fall out for five years.
I also loved the articles they shared, which was the point of the letter writing in the first place, because they aligned with what they would discuss most times, it was a nice little detail.

Charlee is straight up hilarious and badass. I LOVED HER. But oh my godd I felt for her🥺 because she had this sort of idea about herself which could not be further from the truth!!! Like girl can I give you a hug?? I was just so happy for her growth and finding a place where she truly belonged 🫶🏼

Oliver was just the kindest soul, honestly what a man, he was so patient and caring. And woww was he pining hard lolll I loved it, he was just in awe of Charlee, even seeing her work, like he was her biggest fan truly, and I loved that. Ohh Oliver, my heart broke for him when we find out the reason he didn’t show up years ago, but that epilogue was truly beautiful with Charlee’s grand gesture, my heart healed a little 🥹

It was hilarious seeing them in forced proximity, on the job, trying soo hard, even after five years, deny the chemistry they had. It was the slowest burn and it was soo good, especially the little moments we get when the walls are starting to crack and just seeing that dynamic they had form between them again. They match each other so well, they are soulmates!!! And were truly adorable 🥰 (and HOT lmfao just had to add that in too 😉)

I fell in love with Pine Falls and these characters, it truly was a heartwarming and a cozy ending to the series 🍂

This was sweet. And what a gorgeous cover by Leni Kauffman!

I didn't know this was the third book in the same universe, so I wasn't familiar with previous characters, but I still enjoyed this book. (And I might have to go back and read the others!) UNBEARABLY YOURS has gorgeous autumnal, woodsy vibes and a touching second-chance, forced proximity love story.

The dual-POV narration alternates between Charlee and Oliver, who both work at Wild Planet in different places and met as pen pals in university. We get epistolary elements from their past, as they connect anonymously and eventually fall in love through their correspondence.

When they get paired up on a documentary project in the Great Bear Rainforest, they must confront their past and work together to reach their goals -- and each other.

This had all the elements I love in a romance, including a hot, quiet, emotionally mature MMC, but I wasn't totally invested in his and Charlee's relationship, simply because their 0 to 100 romance in their letters felt rushed and underdeveloped to me. The letters were there to establish their backstory, but I'm not sure it fleshed it out enough for me to believe in -- and root for -- their eventual reunion. I couldn't understand why Charlee was *that* upset at Oliver for missing their haphazard meeting when they didn't even exchange numbers or even know each other with any depth. Their via-letter sexting felt so premature and odd.

Plus, when Charlee's orgasm is described "my clit like a simmering volcano on the verge of an eruption," and words like "perky" and "engorged" were used, I kind of got the ick.

(Plus, them saying things like "Not like I wouldn't like to get you pregnant"/"not that I wouldn't like to carry your babies" weirded me out???)

The development of the romance is what I had the most issue with, but I know that those who enjoyed the previous two in the series will likely enjoy this next installment!

Thank you to Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op for the e-ARC in exchange for my honest, unbiased review. UNBEARABLY YOURS is out 9/3.

I’m new to this author and what a joy it was to read this book! Such a perfect cozy, fall read. I was immediately hooked by the first chapter. So excited to see what else this author writes!

"That I love you. So thoroughly and unmis-takably. I've known I loved you, the person you were, your soul, before I knew what you looked like, but I didn't want to simply write it down on a piece of paper. It seemed too important to be read. I wanted you to hear it from me. I never got to say it, and I hated you for a very, very long time for it."

-small town romance, second chance, forced proximity
-pen pals who finally meet 5 years later after a fall out to film a docuseries
-so much unfinished business between the two and the amount of mutual pining was >>

I personally am not a huge fan of the past and present back and forth chapters, but I really did enjoy this story. It's a wonderful second chance for two people who missed their first chance due to unforseen circumstances.

This was such a great second chance romance. At first you're like how could I ever forgive the MMC for not showing 10 years ago when they fell in love as pen pals!! But not just when you find out why also just who the MMC is as a person you get it and you love him.

The outdoorsy aspects of this book were so interesting. Such a great plot premise to have them both as nature journalists on a combo work assignment and I loved that background adventure. Also created the best forced proximity when you are shouting at them TALK IT OUT while they slowly build something back up with each other. Speaking of slow this is technically a slow burn but credit to the author that I barely noticed, it totally made sense and the spice pay off was totally worth it.

I'd absolutely recommend this and thank you to the author for the eARC! I'm excited to read more by them.
