Absolutely blown away by how good this was! It was such a lovely second chance romance. It was inspiring, moving and so romantic.

I loved the two main characters. They both felt very real and genuine. I could totally understand their hesitance to rekindle their love but at the same time the pull towards one another is too strong. Love always wins! The romance definitely has it's always been you vibes which I just melt for.

I liked the use of letters as a way to provide flashbacks/scenes from the past. I thought this was clever and don't see it used often in second chance romances. I liked being able to see the how the relationship was before. I think it makes the reunion more impactful.

I thought the setting was unique and a lot of fun. I personally am not a camping girl but I got to experience it through this book. I liked how the forest was described, very beautiful! I also liked that the setting forced the main characters to share a tent haha!

Unbearably Yours is for fans of mutual pining, angst, second chance romances and it's always been you. Highly recommend!

Do you ever read a book that instantly becomes your favorite, stirs deep emotions, and makes you connect so deeply with the story that you just know it’s going to stay with you? That’s exactly what this book did for me. I loved every single second of it and now I can confidently say that these characters have become my comfort characters.

The writing is absolutely beautiful!! it felt like I was watching a movie in my mind. Charlee and Oliver, the main characters, are everything I could ever want. Charlee is now one of my favorite FMC—she’s bold, strong, resilient, and incredibly lovable. Oliver, on the other hand, is such a sweet, soft-hearted man, and I just fell in love with him. He’s so kind, so lovely, and the perfect balance to Charlee’s fierceness. Their dynamic is perfect!

The connection between Charlee and Oliver is electric—their chemistry, the way they understand each other, the dialogues that made me smile, the banter that had me grinning, and the romantic moments that warmed my heart. Everything about their relationship felt so genuine and touching. I loved every bit of it.

The side characters are equally lovable. It felt like I was reading about people I’ve known for ages! The small-town setting added a cozy, warm vibe that made the story even more special—it’s the kind of place that feels like home. And then there’s the penpal element, which I absolutely adored.

This was my first book by Elodie, but it definitely won’t be my last. She’s earned a spot as a comfort author for me now. And can we talk about the cover? It’s absolutely stunning!!

I would highly, highly recommend this book to all the romance lovers out there!! It’s truly a gem!!

This book was a 5 out of 5! I loved every minute of this second chance romance!

You know your girl loves a forced proximity romance! Throw in a lil ‘there’s only one sleeping bag’ and a ‘let me take care of you because your foot might be broken’ sitch and I’m putty in your hands! Talk about the perfect way to break that crackling tension! 😍

I instantly fell in love with Oliver and Charlee! I loved how the story was interspersed with the letters they sent each other during their college years bracketing the present day storyline. The way their feelings slowly changed through their words had me at the edge of my seat, desperately wanting to discover what happened to break them apart!

Both characters experienced incredible loss and their struggles were painted so well by the author. I felt that what was keeping both Charlee and Oliver from trusting one another again was very realistic. It was so heartwarming to see both characters find the strength to open up and let another person in.

This was the perfect conclusion to the It’s Always Been You series! I cannot wait to see what Elodie Colliard writes next. Her author journey has been so wonderful to see and I think this story is her best one yet!

I just finished Unbearably Yours by Elodie Colliard, and wow, what a cozy ride from start to finish. It’s one of those books that wraps you up in a warm blanket and keeps your heart content the whole way through. The story itself is so beautiful and comforting that it left me feeling like I'd just sipped on my favorite cup of tea - green, of course.

The romance in this book is delicately woven, threading through the narrative in a way that feels natural and heartfelt. I loved how the letters Charlee and Oliver exchanged reflected their evolving relationship. Those letters were such a powerful glimpse into their hearts, showing us their hopes and fears.

What really struck me, though, was the way both Charlee and Oliver longed to rekindle the friendship they once had. Oliver is careful, respecting Charlee’s boundaries, while Charlee is fiercely protective of herself. Their attempts to reconnect were so tender and raw, filled with this deep yearning and vulnerability... They’re both hurting and angry for different reasons and seeing them struggle not to repeat past mistakes was incredibly moving.

Now, fair warning—this is actually the third book in a series of interconnected standalones, and it’s the first one I picked up. But you know what? I didn’t feel lost at all, which is pretty impressive. That said, I’m going back to read the other two because I’ve fallen in love with these characters, and I want to see more of them!

Speaking of the characters, they’re beautifully written. I especially appreciated Oliver’s neurodivergent and hypersensitivity representation—it added an extra layer to his character that made him feel so real and relatable. Also, he's a bear, you'll get it.

If I had one tiny gripe, it would be that I wished the book were longer. I would’ve loved to see more of Charlee and Oliver’s lives separately before they reconnected. It just seemed a bit odd in today’s world that they didn’t reach out to each other sooner, so following them solo for a while would’ve given more insight into what held them back.

All in all, this is a lovely second-chance romance set in a small town. It’s a heartwarming read that I highly recommend.

This book was really good. I enjoyed the storyline, the main characters, and the setting. The two main characters story arc was so pleasing, and satisfying.

Man though, the title of the book is ridiculously corny. I mean, I get it. I see how they have bear in the title, but no, it's gotta go. This is an adult book. There are some spicy scenes, yet the title sounds young & immature.

Change the title. Please!!! For that reason alone, I had to take a star off my rating.

A beautiful and moving second chance, dual POV, forced proximity slow burn romance between two former pen pals who fall for one another while exchanging letters only to get torn apart by a series of unfortunate events. Five years ago journalists Charlee and Oliver were supposed to finally meet but Oliver never showed and and Charlee was left heartbroken.

Now thanks to a work assignment the two are forced to spend a week together as they film a documentary in the remote wilderness near Oliver's hometown of Pine Falls, BC. I loved neurodiversity rep and the inclusion of the letters in this story, we really get to see how Oli and Charlee become friends and fall in love. The way they have to work to forgive what happened in the past and take a chance on love again in the present was perfect and I especially enjoyed Oliver's found family/friend group and the cameos from the other couples in this series!

I hope we get more Pine Falls stories in the future, particularly one featuring Oli's best friend, Lola!! I can't recommend this book enough, it's the perfect book to set off the Fall season!

5,000⭐️ This will definitely be in the running for my top 5 of this year. The execution of the two timelines was *chef’s kiss*. The way the author used the letters from the past tell bits and pieces of the story throughout so deliberately and poignantly was honestly part of why this book is TOP TIER.

Charlee is always on the move. Exploring what the great outdoors has to offer all while bringing attention to environmentalism and other hard-pressed issues through her journalism with Wild Planet Toronto. When given the opportunity to star in a documentary about the Great Bear Rainforest of British Columbia she is ecstatic. She’s never traveled that side of Canada even though she has longed to for years now. Once she realized who she’d be partnered up with, feelings start flooding back after five long years.

Oliver is a simple man. Give him the peace and quiet of nature and he’s set. Being able to work for Wild Planet BC remotely from Pine Falls is a dream come true. The only thing that would make it better is buying back the family restaurant he lost five years ago. When given the promise of a large raise, Oliver has no hesitation taking on the safety and training of a filming crew going out to traverse the rainforest he loves so much. After reading the name of the reporter working on the docuseries, Oliver panics.

This is the fastest I’ve flew through a physical book in quite a while. I couldn’t NOT stop! The secret penpals, longing, regret, and grief woven into this story make it a god tier book in my mind, honestly. The chemistry between the main characters is infectious. Even through the letters they wrote when they had never met each other in person you could FEEL the chemistry flowing so smoothly!

I wish I could GUSH about all the tiny details I loved, but alas, I don’t want to ruin it for you.

Possible TW:
If you have an issues with reading parental loss (more specifically one tragic, one to cancer), this one might be a little tough, without getting into details, it doesn’t graphically depict death, but the characters recall the death in a way that invokes some tough emotions. I believe if you put yourself in the right headspace it will be fine, but not having experience with parental loss, I don’t want to make that determination for you. 🫶🏻

I loved this book. It was so so good— I read it in one day!

Y'all, this book was so good. It was definitely spicy, but I was able to pretty easily skip over those parts. Oliver is the perfect guy in my opinion. He's a neurodivergent cinnamon roll, which is just chef's kiss. And Charlee is a great female lead. They both feel so real and I can't wait to read more from this author!

What a heart-warming book! From the moment I saw this cover, I knew I would enjoy this book, as it promises lovely and cosy vibes. I love second-chance romance books, and this one ticked all the boxes for me! I really enjoyed how the book was structured, as we get to see Charlee and Oliver falling in love through letters in college, which alternate with chapters from both their POVs in the present. At first, I struggled to relate to Charlee and found her to be frustrating, but as the story goes we learn why she behaves as she does. I absolutely loved Oliver from the start, he was such a well written character, his neurodiversity and hypersensitivity was so sensibly explained and represented, and he is completely in love with Charlee. I did also love that he was mature enough to stand for himself when necessary, and it was very refreshing to see, as that maturity is sometimes lacking in book characters and can be quite frustrating! I was so happy there was dual POV, as I loved being able to experience what they were both feeling and what was going through their minds when they finally meet in each other, and all the heartache, longing, and confusion they feel will tug at your heartstrings! I really enjoyed how they open up to one another and confront their feelings, to finally get the tender but all-consuming love they have been searching for since they lost contact five years ago.

I found the premise of the book interesting, so I would have liked to have more chapters of their outdoor adventures around the Great Bear Rainforest! The descriptions of Pine Falls and the forest have me itching to book a trip to British Columbia! I liked the side characters and will definitely check out the other books in the series.

Unbearably Yours is a sweet and emotional romance story with lovely cosy vibes which will make you long for days out in nature and nights making s'mores around a campfire, making it the perfect addition to any autumn TBR list!

I really loved how it started with them exchanging letters and grew a relationship. Its comforting to read this book.
Oliver is such a green forest and a NERD 🤌🏻🎀💗, Charlee is the exact opposite to him but perfect for each other. I loved how they cared for each even with all the past looming around .

But i felt they should have talked way before about what happened 5 years ago, not wait until it reached 80% of the book. Miscommunication doesn’t bode well with me.

This is the best book by Elodie Colliard to date! The setting of the Canadian rainforest was so unique and vibrant throughout the story and absolutely added to the vibe of the book. It makes me want to go visit myself. I also loved the letters throughout the story, they were an incredible literary device to provide insight into the characters and their past, while also driving the narrative. Charlee and Oliver are such special characters and I loved getting to know them through this book.

This was such a delightful book to read! I was completely immersed in the small town of Pine Falls and fully invested in the lives of Colliard’s compelling characters.

What sets this book apart from others is that it is told from two perspectives and split between two timelines—the past and the present—that ultimately converge towards the end. Chapters taking place in the past are written as letters exchanged between Oliver and Charlee that document their development from strangers to friends to lovers over the span of a year leading up to June 21, 2018—the day they ceased communication. As a fan of epistolary novels, I really enjoyed this touch and the seamless transition between the two timelines. The contents of each letter directly connects to something going on in the present in one way or another or another, making it easy to follow Colliard’s storytelling. Only bits and pieces surrounding why their relationship went awry are revealed over time, which kept me engaged all the way through.

I adored Oliver as soon as he graced the page! He’s so sensitive and kind and Colliard portrays his neurodivergence with care. The more time I spent with Charlee, the more I grew to love the woman beneath her tough exterior. Both characters grapple with grief, but find solace in each other even after five years apart. They have such great chemistry and this becomes only more obvious when circumstances beyond their control leave them no choice but to spend more time together the deeper they journey into the Great Bear Rainforest. I loved watching the sparks reignite between Charlee and Oliver as they worked through their pasts to get another shot at love!

What a cozy , wonderfully enjoyable book. Im obsessed with both Charlee and Oliver 💕💕 they are such lovable characters.
But my favorite part… the freaking letters!!! So so good. A unique approach that really paid off. Big fan!

This was a really great second chance romance. I loved Oliver and Charlee. The pen pal aspect was perfect and I loved reading their letters. It really helped to understand why they were both so shocked and nervous to be thrown together in the present day. It felt like you were lucky enough to watch their relationship grow twice.

I hadn’t read the other books in the series, which is usually a big no for me. I honestly can say I don’t feel as if I missed anything. I think I can pick out who the other couples are and will definitely be going back to check them out.

I would like to start off by saying , good golly does this woman know how to write. The storyline was beautiful. It had me instantly hooked, trying to piece everything together. I was obsessed with the characters. Char and Oli were are just so fun and sweet! I loved the fun way that they came together, but also just their dynamic throughout the book was really cool. I also really loved the awareness and representation of Oliver’s story. I don’t think there’s enough, so I was so happy to see it in this book. I felt like I truly understood what these characters were going through. I am so so honored that I got to read this as an ARC from Netgalley. But I definitely will be buying a paperback for my shelves. It’s a NEED.

Things I loved about Unbearably Yours. The setting. Not that her other titles are lacking for beautiful settings but we cannot argue with the lush forests of Beautiful British Columbia. The characters. You’d think that this is a “duh” moment because aren’t the main characters of every novel amazing? Yes, but Charlee and Oliver are that much more. The way that Elodie weaves their story from past to present through letters and their lives lived is a way to get to know them beyond their trains of thought and interactions in the present. The letters. I said it already, I’ll say it again. The letters!

Unbearably Yours is a cozy read, but also an emotional one. It’s the kind of book that has an autumn feel to it and is best read wrapped in a blanket with a mug of tea.

I like that the relationship between Oliver and Charlee took time to develop and that they had to communicate before getting together. That being said, them getting together only at the 80% mark meant that we didn’t get to spend a lot of time with them as a couple. And that really is my only complaint. I would have liked to spend more time with Oliver and Charlee and see their happiness for a little while longer.

I love the pen pal aspect! It brings a dual timeline which shows us their connection, but also gives us a reason as to why they’re both so troubled seeing each other.
This is the embodiment of forced proximity. It goes from one bedroom to one tent and even one sleeping bag. Needless to say, I loved it.

Unbearably Yours is book 3 in the Always been You series. Each book is a standalone and can be read on its own, characters make small cameos, but not knowing their stories will not impact your reading experience. I still highly recommend reading the first two books as they are just as good.

This book hit me in the FEELS I was rooting for Oliver and Charlee the entire book. The addition of the outdoors and camping was also right up my alley. What a feel good story with a little spice. Highly recommend!

THIS BOOK. If you want an autumnal romance book that is so beautifully written that it’s nearly poetic, makes your heart warm, makes you feel ALL the emotions, and is such a cosy and easy read, please buy this book. I was addicted.

The storyline, with the inclusion of the characters letters, was a stunning way for us to get to know the characters on a deeper level. Add in the characters love of nature and the belief of fate and soulmates, it really is everything you want in a romance.

Being neurodivergent myself, I loved to see this being represented in our MMC, but one area I hadn’t heard of myself! It made me do a little research into this which is fantastic because it is raising more awareness. I loved that he was a really relatable character. Also, this made him a MMC who wasn’t afraid to show and feel his emotions at a heightened level, which was just perfection to see.

Oh, and the spice, 🥵. Detailed and HOT.

The reason for the loss of .5 of a star is because…and I can’t believe I am saying this…I would have liked to have seen a little more slow burn. I felt our FMC went from 0 - 100 around how she felt, and I felt there could have been a little more inner dialogue around her feelings during the stage of her realisation.

Unbearably Yours was one of those you just can't put down!
When college students are buddied up with students across the country, anonymously, Oliver and Charlee make a fast connection. They quickly "read" they were meant for each other. After a year of writing, they finally decide to meet irl.
I love how this story goes back from past to present, as we uncover what happens that day they are suppose to meet.
I love a "he falls harder" read. Oli and Char are adorable and I loved getting to know them

"Fuck, the mere thought of having her skin touch mine is sending me deeper into my spiral. She’s beautiful. No, the word doesn’t even come close to doing her justice. How come the English language does not contain a single word to describe her beauty? That rosy tint that colors her cheeks and the tip of her round nose? Or what about a word for those full lips pressed together in a little smirk like she knows she has the upper hand? How many times have I closed my eyes during classes and tried to picture her face? How many nights did I lie in bed, dreaming of those lips, the silky feel of her hair between my fingers, her head resting on my chest while I’d lull her to sleep? The sound of her voice? Damn, her voice . . . I wasn’t prepared for any of it. Hell, I didn’t think I would ever see her. Know the person she is beyond the words she shared with me. Not after . . ."

This is a story about second chances- but more importantly LOVE.
