I’m a big fan of this series where genuine characters grapple with elements of magical realism, and this final instalment takes a romantic and heart wrenching look at what happens when wishes do come true. And also, being careful what you wish for. When Anna wishes, in a moment of mad whimsy, to be married to the man she’s loved for years and who barely knows she exists, her life changes almost immediately and it’s the starting point for a whirlwind journey that’s both literal and emotional. I loved the way the relationship developed between Anna and Max while they try to reverse the wish, as his determination to stay aloof and passionless is slowly eroded by her wholehearted desire for happiness in everyone around her. The plot flowed effortlessly and was beautifully augmented by the descriptions of Geneva, Paris and St Tropez; it completely drew me in and I finished it in a day.

I loved Fated and I loved Wished.

Always so beautiful, immersive and unique storylines.

Beautiful writing I was confused where the storyline was going for a bit of the last third of the book but it all made sense in the end.

I really enjoyed this!

Oh, how I wish this isn't the end of the Ghosted series! Each book in this series has been such a joyous and fun magical story. And Wished falls right in line. I loved Anna and Max's story and found this may have just been my favorite. Shhh! Don't tell the others!

The charming blend of romance and magical realism in Sarah Ready's "Wished" presents a fascinating premise that was a good read for me. The protagonist of the story is Anna Benoit, a housekeeper who longs to wed Max Barone, the enigmatic owner of the chateau where she works. Anna is thrown into a crazy world where she and Max are unexpectedly married when her wish is mysteriously granted. The novel stands out to me for its original idea and well-rounded cast of characters, particularly Max's nuanced personality and Anna's maturation. The storyline twists are predictable to some extent, the tale moves slowly at points, and Anna and Max's chemistry isn't strong enough to make their romance stand out. "Wished" is a sweet book with a touching message overall, however it falls short of some of Sarah Ready's other works. It's fun for magical realism and light romance fans, but it might not stick in their memory.

I really enjoyed this book, it was exactly the fun and lighthearted romance I needed. I loved Anna’s character and I related to her in way too much ways. Falling in love with someone without uttering a word to them? Yup! Sounds like me. It’s a fairytale that a lot of us can only -wish- to have.

This was a refreshing, romantic and magical read! It was so cute and just what I needed!

The storyline was so cute and full of a spark of magic. I loved Anna and her story. She was so expectant of good things after being dealt not good things! I loved how these characters just fit exactly perfect!

Anna Benoit fell in love with Max at first sight. The problem is he has never noticed her and she has cleaned his residence for three years. Billionaire Max Barone lives a solitary existence where love doesn’t factor that is until one evening Anna makes a wish. This is a lovely story of magic and passion, honesty and real caring. A beautiful romance that leads us through Geneva, Paris and St Tropez. I truly enjoyed this story and read it in an afternoon, not realizing it is the 4th in a series. Although it can be read as a stand alone I can’t wait to read the rest-Ghosted,Switched and Fated. Thank you Netgalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing

I have been a fan of Sarah Ready's for awhile now. I have also really enjoyed this series. Wished is the 4th book in the (Ghosted) Series and I had such a great time with this one. I was so happy that we get to welcome back Max from the last book "Fated". I'm happy that we got to see what happened to Max. Anna is a sweetheart of a character. She cleans Max's house and is a hopeless romantic and is in love with him. One day she ends up making a wish and let me tell you it's a wild ride!! This book had me laughing and kept me entertained. Max and Anna were both great characters that were likable and well written. The side characters were also great. I loved Anna's boss. She was a spit fire of a woman! This book was narrated by Amanda Ronconi and Will Watt. They did such a great job telling this story and making you feel like you were there with thee characters. I can't wait to see what Sarah comes up with next. I would definitely recommend this book and anything she writes!

This was a very pleasant read! I enjoyed the plot and the characters. And the little amount of spice. I loved Doreen so much. All in all it was a cute story about making wishes, love and having the possibility to make your own choices and magical realism.
There seem to be some small plot holes though unfortunately as well as the story being a bit flat time to time but i was still able to enjoy the book regardless of these!
Ill definitely check out also the other books in this serie!

I have enjoyed the books in the “Ghosted” series very much. When I saw this one, I couldn’t wait to read it!
The story was very cute. The who wishing part was interesting. I also loved that one of the main characters was Max, who was in the last book of the series. We got to find out more about him. Anna was a great character and the banter between her and Max was on point. The story had a bit of a plot twist at the end, and I loved it!

After falling in love with max as a side character in the previous instalment in the series, I knew his book was going to be amazing, and Sarah Ready always delivers. Anna made a perfectly reasonable and irrational wish when confronted by magic jewellery that can't possibly do what it says on the tin, and I loved every second of what followed. There are always unintended consequences in this series, and I could feel every echo of the choices made here. My one gripe would be that I wish we had gotten more of Max's POV! I was dying to know what was going on in his head at a few points. But reading about Anna gaining the confidence and trying to live her best life with or without Max? You can't put a price on that kind of gold.

It was an alright book, I enjoyed it but didn't love it. I did love the concept and the premise of the book but there was just something missing...maybe it's because I'm not the biggest fan of insta-love and it also felt a little rushed at times.
Anna was a sweet character, I did like her. Max on the other hand, was rude. Did not enjoy him.
I just couldn't feel the connection between these two characters unfortunately.
But, I do know a lot of other people enjoyed these characters and their connection. It just wasn't for me.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for giving me an ARC!

I was so excited to read another Sarah Ready book in this series and it did not disappoint! Can you imagine wishing for your wildest desires and that wish coming true?! Now imagine that wish was being married to your hot, rich boss? In this super fun book, that’s exactly what happens.

Anna has been cleaning Max’s chateau for the last 3 years and over this time, she found herself falling for him even though she’s never really had a conversation with him. Before wishing she was married to him, she’s noticed what books he reads, what snacks he eats, heck she even knows he likes mint toothpaste. But as the old saying goes, be careful what you wish for!!

Even though this story is whimsical and not realistic, it was a lot of fun and had such feel-good vibes! While it is a fun story, it had some pretty spicy 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️ scenes, so keep that in mind before reading. Overall, I gave it 4.5 stars and can’t wait for the next one in the series!

Thank you NetGalley for an ARC of this book.

Thanks you NetGalley for sending me this ARC!
This was my first experience with this author and the start of the series for me. The book works as a standalone, but there are mentions of characters for the previous books, which got me intrigued to check out the rest of the series!
The romance between Anna and Max is super fresh, light, and really enjoyable to read. However, I do wish we could have explored Max a bit more-most of the story is from Anna's POV. It would have been great to get deeper into his character and understand what made him open up to love and passion, especially since he was so against it at the start.
I'd definitely recommend adding this book to your TBR, be it in book or audiobook format. I switched back and forth between the two formats and loved the narration.
I can't wait to read more from the series!

Excellent story with a "new to me" plot that kept me hooked, once I was able to get past the initial start of the book. It started off rather slow and, at times, it felt like the author was a little too focused on setting the scenery. Given the number of lavish details she provided, I could quite literally play this book (and audio) in my head as a live action movie. You could tell that the MMC wasn't just a grump. He was a grump who was desperately clinging onto the notion that he couldn't handle love or passion, not that he didn't want it. However, the moment he got even a glimpse of it, he was done for. You see this play out in the back third of the book and it broke my heart for him. It broke for the FMC as well, as you could see that she is unable to let go of the idea that he wants her only because of the wish, not because of who she has become to him in such a short amount of time. I would have loved to have gotten the MMCs POV, outside of the Prologue and Epilogue. From the perspective of the written text, it would have rounded out the story for me. Or maybe it's because I loved the MMC that much. I was able to listen to this as an audio book as well and given that aspect, the single narrator worked out just great either way.

Thank you, NetGalley and Sarah Ready for the opportunity to listen/read to this ARC.

I love Sarah Ready titles. She takes the "what-if" we wonder about and put ALL the words and feelings into them. This was a great read and I'm currently reading another of her titles!

I would like to thank NetGalley for providing me with an ebook and audiobook ARC of Wished by Sarah Ready. All opinions are my own.

Wished feels like a Hallmark movie, just without the Christmas festivities, in the best possible way.

What I enjoyed:

-The writing is imaginative and descriptive enough to place you right in the middle of the story. It's very beautiful and whimsical, no matter their destination.
-The FMC is selfless and kind and the MMC is brooding and aloof, an amazing start to the story.
- I was surprised several times with where the story went, expecting the obvious to happen and being taken off guard in several instances - something which boosted my rating tremendously.
-The female narrator's voice was pleasant, even when she was doing the male voice.
-I loved the male narrator's voice, although it was only used in the beginning and the epilogue.
-I really liked the boss and the sister and their dynamic.

What I didn't enjoy:
-I felt like there was something missing from the initial POV from the MMC and him just accepting the magic of this wish and sweeping her away to see where it would lead. It felt out of character, even for the brief moment we actually got to know him outside of the FMC POV.
- There were several times where words were repeated back to back (nipple being an offender during specific chapters), sometimes 3-4 times in the same paragraph which took me out of the story. It's a bit nit picky but since I listened to the audiobook for the majority of the story, it stood out.

Overall, if you love the charming warm fuzzies of a Hallmark movie, you will love this story and the characters within.

I don't know if it was just me, but this book gave me "Howl's Moving Castle" vibes with the entire LOVE wish. And I really enjoyed it. The spicy scenes were *chef's kiss*.
The audiobook was good, I just wish we got more of the male POV narrator. I think we only heard him maybe twice. I wanted more of Max's POV and how he felt about the wish. The female narrator did a great job bringing the story alive. Highly recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for the advanced read.

My Grade: C+ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great scenario and the FMC was a joy to read. Sadly I felt that the story became too full of Insta-Love and was missing chemistry. It needed a slow burn to help me want the characters of Annie and Max end up together.

Spice Level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ out of 5. Great amount of spice! Nicely done, even if Max was a bit too perfect.

The Good:
-Wonderful premise! I loved the idea of a magical necklace and the history behind it.
-Alternative universes is one of my favorite tropes.
-Billionaire/boss romance.
-Immersive descriptions of the scenery were beautiful. They were a bit much at times, and kept the plot from moving forward.

The Meh:
-Insta-love is huge in this book. I was confused as to why Anna was in "love" with the confusing personality of Max, especially considering how rude and mean he was to her.
-The outpouring of "love" that came from Max was way too much and came off really creepy and obsessive.
