I initially read ghosted when it was first released and thoroughly enjoyed it. I didnt realise there was more to the series until i actually started wished. A brilliant read full of love, magic and happiness.

Ofcourse the premise is completely far fetched but it makes for an absolutely glorious read

4.5 stars and my favourite yet of the ghosted series. They can all be read as stand alone for sure although the male main character is a significant side character in the previous book 'Fated'.
Ever wished upon...anything? Anna used to wish she was a genie when she was younger and so when she makes a wish that her employer, the oh so sophisticated jewellery mogul Max Barron, were married to her and oh soo in love, she never in a million years think that it would come true, especially since the aforementioned employer has just fired her.
But voila the next day she wakes up in a strange but luxurious bed and is suddenly being called Mrs Barron!!
This loveable story about wishes coming true and would you try to reverse your wish or live it out will have you grinning from ear to ear. Max is charming and loveable with his no nonsense approach to life. From Geneva, to Paris to Saint Tropez this delightful conundrum is sure to please
The audiobook is narrated by a female and male (oh such a posh voice! Silky smooth!) And they both do a fabulous job. My only titbit criticism is that the female narrator conveyed more emotion when reading out Max's parts than Anna's which I thought was strange.
I read and listened to this book in tandem thanks to copies provided by Swift & Lewis publishing via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Another perfect romance from Sarah Ready. This one felt like something straight out of my daydreams. The kind of magical realism that you always kind of hope actually exists.

Much to my surprise, I wasn’t sold on Anna or Max right away. Even after Max’s sweet introduction in the last book. Honestly, the situation felt so impossible at first that I was struggling to see how a love story could come out of it at all, but I guess Ready knows how to write an impossible love story! Because once I was hooked, I was hanging onto every word. It is a pseudo insta-love kind of story, but in a good way. I am typically very anti-insta-love. But this one is done RIGHT.

In this story, both Anna and Max had personal obstacles to overcome, and per usual, Ready handles it with so much grace. Though we primarily get to see things from Anna’s POV, we learn quite a bit about Max—how he thinks and how he’s motivated. It was fascinating to see Ready’s writing shine in that particular way—she is SO good at single POV. But the prologue and epilogue from Max were so good too!!

Also, I have no clue how much travel Ready has done in her life, but her descriptions of places are intensely good and feel so realistic. I can always see them clearly in my mind’s eye. I just love it.

If you’ve ever wished that you could make wishes come true (for you or someone else), this might be a good fit for you!

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC book for an honest review.

This is book four in the "ghosted series." Sarah Ready has such a genius mind imagining these worlds filled with magical realism and romance. Each of the books in the series has such a varying and unique plotline. I have read all the books in the series (recommend!), but you could read this as a standalone even though our male lead, Max, was a supporting character in the last book.

Honestly, this book started off a little bit iffy...the initial introduction of our couple and the inner voice of Max immediately took on a sexual tone which I did not appreciate. I knew I enjoyed this author in the past, so I carried on and I am glad that I did. If I could take out the spice in the book and have Anna's view of Max be a little less insta-lovey, I could say I adored everything else!

We have Anna who has been cleaning (and loving) Max from afar for years. While cleaning, she comes across a necklace that says it grants wishes...and she makes a wish that she would be married to Max and that he loves her. Enter Max moments later to accuse her of stealing the necklace which somehow ends up in her pocket. He bans her from his house, she is fired, and it appears the wish was not granted...

Until the next day, when Anna wakes up in a life where she has been married to Max for 7 years. It was a fun, sweet (sometimes bittersweet!) journey that Max and Anna navigate as they initially try to undo the wish and then hearts and minds start having other ideas.

I loved the Max in love who opened his heart! That life with Anna was so lovely. Of course, we have to throw in some angst before the happily ever after, but everything was worth it at the end. Smile...

3.5 stars

Anna works as a maid in Max’s palatial mansion. He has no idea who she is. One day Anna makes a wish on a necklace that she and Max will be together. The next day she wakes up married to Max. So what’s the problem? He doesn’t remember being married for seven years and neither does she! Can the two of them work together to undo the wish or might one little wish on a magic necklace lead to last love?

This is a very sweet story about two people that are unlikely to fall in love. Anna starts and ends the story about the same with no major lessons or personality changes. The one thing Anna gains is the confidence to want something real not created because of a wish (I don’t think that’s a spoiler because they did get together because of a wish). Max starts out grumpy and unhappy. It’s best if reads have read the prior book because there are reasons Max is so unhappy. He is actually a really nice man under the grumpy façade but life has slapped him around a bit. He learns that sometimes love created on a wish can be true and lasting. There are some other characters in the book but they are background and just help to set the stage for the story. I was so happy that the author included an epilogue. I am not going to say why but it was very pleasing since I have read the whole series.

I have one huge question. Toward the end of the book, Max and Anna see each other out in public and he runs out of the store to follow her. It’s all very romantic except that he was at the store with someone. The author opted to not include how Max let those people know that he was leaving. It bothered me BECAUSE he was with his friend and her daughter. They are a major part of Max’s story and I wanted to read his explanation (if you haven’t read the prior book it might not hit quite as hard).

This is a contemporary romance set in Switzerland and France. Max is a wealthy and successful businessman with no family and few friends. Anna is a poor house cleaner with a mother and sister. They are an unlikely pair that fall in love for the right reasons. This is a feel good love story. I would recommend reading the prior book at a minimum and maybe even the whole series just because they are a nice read. I will read more from this author in the future.

I already want to do a reread of it!! This was such a cute and quick read with a simple plot that’s easy to follow!

Our FMC, Anna, falls in love on sight with her employer, Max, but he doesn’t even know she exists. For three years she pins over him until a chance to make a wish presents itself. Then everything falls apart, until suddenly her wish comes true.

Our couple are thrust into an alternate reality where they have been married for seven years. Max suddenly has memories he never lived that contradict what he knows to be true but Anna is aware the last seven years never happened. They race to undo the wish but start to get to know each other along the way.

I will say at first, Max’s change of heart felt a bit rushed. He was so against the new reality until he wakes up the next day willing to give her a chance to reconcile with the seven years of false memories he suddenly has. I did feel that his swap into being willing to entertain this new reality felt a bit off, though the author does offer an explanation.

I have to give our author credit as well, the spicy scene was written perfectly into the story in a way that offers intimacy that most authors fail to capture. It furthered the plot instead of just being a “spicy book”. It was nice and refreshing.

I will admit that the way the book kept flipping the script, I was unsure how our couple were going to come together into a beautiful ending, but we did get there and it was magical! (Quite literally).

This is my first book by Sarah and I will for sure be checking out the previous three books in this series as this one was absolutely adorable! If I already want to reread this one, I can’t imagine how the others will be!

"I was waiting for you to see me." "How could I see you when you were hiding?"
This book was unexpectedly philosophical at times and a nice cozy fall evening read. It gives interesting perspectives on love and what it can look like and just life in general. Does it make sense? Hell no but I dont think thats the point of books like these. I had a great time and just want to cozy up to my significant other and enjoy being together. We get some lovely intimate scenes in this book that I did not mind at all.
The book ends in a HEA, I would honestly have been fine without one cause the subtle message the books tries to give us was delivered either way. This was my first read of the Ghosted book series so I might just try out another one. Would totally recommend to anybody looking for low stakes, easy read, feel good romance

I love this series so much and this book was the perfect conclusion. It was lovely to listen to the 3 different 'Max's' while having the same, rather confused Anna. At points it was difficult to listen to because the angst was tough! However, Anna got all the love she deserved. She is just so selfless! The narrators Amanda Ronconi and Will Watt were fabulous! I would have loved more Will, well, I would love Will to read my grocery list to me, but I get why Will didn't have more to narrate. The only thing was I found the end a little confusing. You need to concentrate on the last couple of chapters.

Big thanks to Swift & Lewis Publishing, the Independent Book Publishers Association and Sarah Ready for an early release copy of this audiobook. This is my honest review.

Kicking my feet and smiling at how this book played out.

I have been entranced by Sarah Ready's magical realism since I first read the Ghosted series. Each book seems to build on character development and the rules of magic's relationship with the real world which is delightful and pleasant to read.

REVIEW: Wished

Sarah Ready's Wished is a delightful and heartwarming contemporary romance that explores the complexities of love, friendship, and second chances. The story follows Anna, a young woman granted a wish that unexpectedly changes her life. As she navigates the consequences of her wish, Anna must confront her past, heal old wounds, and discover what truly matters in life.

Ready's writing is witty and engaging, and the characters are relatable and endearing. Anna’s journey of self-discovery is both inspiring and heartwarming. The author skillfully balances the story's magical elements with the realistic challenges Anna faces.

While the plot may be somewhat predictable, Wished is a charming and uplifting read that will appeal to fans of contemporary romance. It's a perfect escape from reality that will make you happy and hopeful.

Thank you, Netgalley and Swift & Lewis Publishing LLC | Independent Book Publishers Association (IBPA), Members' Titles, for the free advanced copy for my honest review!

This one was hard for me to rate so low as I have read and enjoyed all the other books in the series. This one just fell flat for me.
Insta love when someone doesn’t even acknowledge you for three years (hard pass). Then after you make a magical wish to be married to him…..you and he both remember the real life interactions but everybody else believes you have been married 7 years. It just didn’t flow well at all.
If you’re wanting to read this series definitely start with one of her earlier novels.
I received a ARC of this title, all opinions are my own.

I had a really bad reading slump which made me take longer to finish this. I was given the audiobook and the ebook by NetGalley, for which I’m very grateful.

I read/listened to half of it before I went on vacation but then I felt very lazy towards reading, and it’s not even about the book because I loved it.

So, Sarah Day has this amazing ability to draw you into her writing, you just fall into these worlds she creates, into these scenarios that just make you wish to find out how it will end. I knew it had to be a happy ending but I was so happy anyways.

I really liked Max and Anna; after she made her wish, I loved watching their dynamic slowly evolve. Max’s evolution was also such a heartwarming thing to behold. The narrator was great, loved her pace and the emotion she put into the text; I feel like it really makes us want to continue listening. Plus, she speaks so clearly, that I was impressed. Great choice of a narrator!

I quite liked this book and would recommend it if anyone wants a cute romance with a hint of spice and fantasy. This will not disappoint.

Thanks to NetGalley for access to an earc.

This is the first Sarah Ready I have read. This was a lot of fun. It makes not much sense, but is a lot of fun.

I'm never sure how to treaat magic in what is otherwise a straight contemporary. I think it maybe just made it feel less real and maybe an HEA that is less earned. But it was much fun.

Everything I love from Sarah Ready. Beautiful storytelling, excellent character chemistry and an entertaining plot that is well thought out. I think this one might be my favorite in the series. And you can’t help but love the setting (Switzerland/France)

Within moments of meeting Max Barone, Anna Benoit fell in love. As Anna is Max’s cleaner, he has no knowledge of this. They are from different worlds; he owns a jewellery empire whilst she is struggling to help her family. When Anna makes a wish that she and Max are in love and happily married, little did she expect to wake up, as Mrs Barone.
I have loved every book in this series and Wished, was so sweet. Having meet Max in the previous book ‘Fated’, I was so looking forward to seeing him happy. Max’s childhood has made him the person he is today, and it was lovely to see how Anna could fill his world with love. There were plenty of twists to this story, keeping me engrossed from the start. It is a standalone book but it was great to see the connection to other stories. I can’t wait for the next book by this very talented author.
This book I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

During Fated I felt like Max was not getting a fair deal but after reading Wished I realize that Max would have missed out on so much if he had settled for Fiona. I loved how this book was intertwined with the rest of the series and the characters made appearances. The characters in this book were so great & the premise of wishing on a necklace was fun. Anna & Max were great and I enjoyed the way their relationship happened with the wish. I think this book is my second favourite in the series, it was a feel good, fun read,

Thanks to NetGalley and Sarah Ready for a copy of this book.

I’ve read all of this series and Wished is a great addition to the series.
Anna is a house cleaner who fell in “love at first sight” with Max, the owner of a house she cleans. Max is the owner of one of the largest jewelry companies in Geneva. Anna makes a wish to be married to Max and when the wish comes true, she learns just what it’s like to be Max’s wife. She also learns a lot about love and making choices.
Sarah Ready writes great characters who grow throughout the story while having a great plot to follow. Her books are great rom-coms with a touch of spice, great for romance readers.

Wished by Sarah Ready is a delightful read that I thoroughly enjoyed. The story centers around Anna Benoit, a housekeeper who unexpectedly finds herself married to Max Barone, the mysterious owner of the chateau she works at, after making a wish. This magical twist sets the stage for a heartwarming and often humorous journey through love and self-discovery.

I found the characters to be incredibly well-developed and relatable. Anna’s journey from a simple housekeeper to someone navigating the complexities of an unexpected marriage was both engaging and inspiring. Max’s character, with his enigmatic charm, added depth to the story, making their interactions all the more captivating.

The settings, from the picturesque chateau to the vibrant streets of Paris, were beautifully described and added an extra layer of charm to the narrative. The blend of romance and magical realism was perfectly balanced, making the story both enchanting and believable.

Overall, Wished is a wonderful book that left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling. It’s a perfect read for anyone who loves a good romance with a touch of magic.
