Brad East's The Church: A Guide to the People of God is another excellent installment in Lexham Press's Christian Essentials series. Short in length but profound in depth, this volume offers immense insight into the biblical, theological, and practical dimensions of the Christian church. This is a book worth reading and revisiting, creative in presentation and compelling in argumentation, and beautiful in its description of how the church came to be, the church's vocation today, and the church's hope for the future. I recommend this book.

A good introduction to the church and its attributes, but not academically rigorous or detailed. I would recommend this to my younger students, but not my students who are in college or higher, or to someone looking to dive into ecclesiology.

This is the latest edition I read about the theology of the church from Brad East. I found that this book is very engaging, brilliant, with a thoughtful thinking about church from the Biblical perspectives. I hope you can read and dwell into this book too.

A very interesting theological reflection on what the Church is, rooted in the Israelite story and the events surrounding the nativity.

(I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)
