This went down a treat with my little one. The voices and the barking probably helped, however the books lends itself to getting children involved in the telling. All the rescue dogs are introduced with their habits and what makes them special and loved. This is a lovely read that is becoming a bedtime favourite in our house.

'Welcome to family' is an illustrated children's book that introduces you to a family of dogs (potato pups) and a cat (Z).

My thought about the book is that the story can be told in a bit more creative way. Creativeness engages children more in the story. The book is colorful and that's a good part. I see picture books in black and white and there is nothing wrong in it, but I think when you write a book for children you should add colour to it. It adds life to the book.
