Secrets, lies and an amazing book. A skilled dissection of human failings.

Many thanks to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for a fair and honest review.

This book was the perfect example of a train wreck. You're reading along, and you see the inevitable danger coming, but you can't look away because its simply THAT addicting.

Basically we have two couples, Josh and Hannah and Dan and Sasha, who both have one daughter each, Lily and September. These families are the definition of besties; they have shared life together in the closest way possible since the girls were babies and have an enviable friendship most people only dream of. The only problem with this fairytale is that its just that, a fairytale. As we all expect things to go south, Dan spills the beans that he is leaving his wife and so begins the war between the spouses. The friends are being forced to choose sides, but little do we all know there is more to the story and deeper, darker secrets that we imagined in those first few pages. There is a huge twist at the end regarding the narrative of a young girl throughout; we are not aware of who this is until the end but boy, it shocked me and I didn't see it coming.
