An intriguing read. There were a few things that didn’t quite add up for me or maybe I missed but I enjoyed it all the same.

I have read a few of Sue Fortin's books in the past and always enjoyed them. This psychological domestic thriller follows Hannah and Jasper who have recently moved into a secure gated community. All is not what its seems and their neighbour looks suspiciously familiar?
Sue Fortin has a great writing style which builds in both atmosphere, intrigue and some good foreshadowing,. The main characters of this book felt real and well fleshed out, with realistic personality traits.

You can easily imagine the gated community and the area that this book is set in. Its well described and in some parts, gets claustrophobic with the twists and turns, I love the psychological aspects of this book, it gets you thinking .When you feel that you have figured things out, something else pops up. The general pace of the book is medium with a great build up to the finale.

This book was narrated by Imogen Church and she has a great storytelling voice.

A fast-paced domestic thriller full of tension and suspense. It had me gripped from the beginning right up until the end. I enjoyed my time reading it , I’m looking forward to more books from this Author!

The buildup of suspense in this story was absolutely thrilling. I couldn’t stop reading until I knew how it all ended.

There is nothing bad I could say about this book, what a brilliant author! The plot was captivating and I devoured this book in just one sitting!

This was a really captivating book and kept me guessing until the end. The main character Hannah has a secret about her previous life that seems to be coming back to haunt her.

Hannah and Jasper move to a luxury gated community, Silverbook but will Hannah be happy there? Will she be finally safe? Not long after the move Hannah sees a face that she recognises from her past. A great read full of twists and turns.

I really enjoyed this book which had me hooked from the start. It was the first book I have read by Sue Fortin It was full of secrets, lies and surprises. The switching back and forth of the timeline was good. The characters strong and likeable. It was fast paced with great twists and turns throughout that will have you turning the pages to find out what happens next. I would definitely recommend this book. Looking forward to reading more of her books.

This was absolutely amazing! I was totally enthralled with this story from beginning to end, I could barely put it down, and when I finally read the last page, the house was dark, I was hungry, thirsty, needed to pee and my neck was stiff. But damn, it was worth it!

Loved this book. I have previously read some of Sues book so I knew it wouldnt disappoint. This is a book that everyone should read. Highly recommend.

Your Little Lies was a pretty good read. I think the author did a great job with the story. There are multiple timelines, twists, and it kept me guessing what would happen next. I think it was worth the read. I believe this is the first book I've read from this author but I'm looking forward to reading more in the future.

This was a story full of emtion which was difficult to resist. great characterisations that brought the characters to life. I was totally absorbed all the way through and in pieces by the end!

A good thriller, solid read. Great storyline with some good characters, I like the differing pov’s but I can understand how it could be confusing or hard to follow.

Had Your Little Lies not been an advanced reader copy that I committed to reviewing, I probably wouldn't have finished it. That said, I'm glad I pressed on and finished it, for by the end it gave me a lot to think about and was a decent mystery.

Hannah and Jasper are partners who move with their 7-year-old daughter to an exclusive community in the south of England on the English Channel. Jasper loves her, despite the fact that he knows she has secrets. He accepts her anxiety and behavior without question, believing that when the time is right she will tell him. Moving out of London to the community of Silverbanks was supposed to be part of reassuring Hannah.

That's not how it turns out. When Hannah recognizes a neighbor, she's worried that her past is catching up to her, despite the reassurances Bryan gives her. Another neighbor, Annabelle, seems to draw Hannah out of her shell a bit until a few incidents put Hannah on edge. Is she imagining it or is someone targeting Hannah and her family? When Bryan turns up dead, it would seem Hannah's worst fears are confirmed.

Your Little Lies is a psychological thriller, which only works if the protagonist seems to be in peril. That is certainly the case here. Hannah flashes back to her old life as Laurel Jordan to explain how she got to this place. She was put into witness protection when she testified in a murder trial of Daniel Sully, who was a loan shark with ties to organized crime. The problem I had was that most of the peril that Laurel/Hannah found herself in practically had neon signs in front warning her off. It's obvious from the start that Annabelle is someone to be cautious of. I wanted to scream at Hannah as she continually dismissed the warning signs, yet we're told that for the past 11 years, she has been so cautious. The same is true in her old life as Laurel. There are so many warning signs from Daniel, yet she feels drawn to him despite being a married woman. Laurel's husband, Matt, turns out to be a jerk, but at the beginning of her story, they are a happily married couple with a son.

It was upon reflection that I saw something else about Laurel/Hannah. She's typical of so many women who were raised to doubt themselves even when the truth is right in front of them. Daniel is a smooth talker and charmer, yet Laurel seems to fall for him rather quickly. Her supposedly loving husband has been undermining her confidence, treating her work as an interior decorator as a hobby and telling her that Daniel has only hired her because he pities her. Yet, he expects her to do whatever it takes to help him get a contract with him. Laurel tells Matt that she's uncomfortable with some of the things Daniel has said and done, but Matt doesn't stand up to protect his wife. Instead, he tells her she is overreacting and dismisses her discomfort.

The same is true for Laurel when she is Hannah. There are so many red lights about Annabelle's behavior, yet Hannah seems to be so desperate for a friend she continually talks herself out of heeding the warning signs that are pretty hard to miss. Jasper is more supportive of her than Matt ever was, but he can't help being confused that she still won't confide her secret to him.

Your Little Lies was a decent mystery, and I eventually appreciated Hannah as the embodiment of a woman who has little to no confidence in herself and needs a man to reassure her. I don't think that's the type of heroine I could root for in the long run, though. I found myself more annoyed by her behavior and obtuseness. When I can't root for the protagonist, it's hard to feel invested in the thriller/mystery part of the story.

I found this book confusing with the past and present points of view of Hannah/Laurel . An Ok read for me

WHOA!! This book was so good! I was pulled in from the very beginning, and the fast pace, twists, and drama kept me entertained until the very end. This was my first book by this author, and I plan to read more.

This was such a powerful thriller. There were moments that made me sad and moments that made me gasp out loud. It was such a compelling story that kept me captivated the more the plot revealed itself. There were twists that I definitely didn't predict. The character development was top notch as I felt like I really knew these characters. I was on the edge of my seat the entire ride.

This is one of the best books I have read!!
It had me chasing my tail backwards and forwards trying to figure out what would happen next, it certainly gave my mind a work out.. when. Hannah, Jasper and their daughter Pia move to an up market gated property with views of the beach, they have it all or do they?? One of them is hiding a deep dark secret, who ? And what? As I made my way through the book, it was intense....... I have never read anything by this author before, but if all her other books are this good, she has a new fan. Definitely recommend, if your looking for a physcological thriller.

This book was a major step up from the last one I read by Sue Fortin . This domestic thriller was absolutely fantastic—full of emotions, tension, and unexpected twists. It grabbed me right from the start and kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way through. The characters felt so real and had great depth, each one stirring different emotions as the story unfolded. The tension in certain scenes was super intense, and the pacing was spot-on. Sue Fortin has definitely become one of my go-to authors. If you're after a fast-paced domestic thriller, this is one you won't want to miss!
