This is the perfect example of domestic suspense! So many twits and turns, I could not put this book down. I read it in one sitting!

Hannah, Jasper and their daughter Pia move to the coast in a gated community for a fresh start. When Hannah bumps into the next door neighbour and instantly recognises him, we soon become aware that she is harbouring a secret from her past.

Told on two timelines, now and eleven years ago, we learn plenty has happened in this time. The pages kept turning for me as I was desperate for the reveal, there are mini twists and secrets exposed, however at times I found it quite slow. All in all though was a good read start to finish with an ending I didn’t predict. This is an emotionally charged thriller with all the trimmings.

Many thanks to NetGalley, publisher and author for the opportunity to read the eARC in exchange for my honest review.

A pacey thriller centered around layers of secrets, and what happens when they come to the surface. In a desperation for safety, quiet, anxious Hannah has secrets she's kept from her family. After moving to a gated community by the ocean Hannah thinks maybe she can finally relax. Soon unexplainable coincidences occur that threaten the stable life she has worked so hard to build with her family Jasper and Pia.

Small town nosey neighbours, a ghost from the past, and head on a swivel, Hannah tries to fend off anyone from digging too deep.

Who else is lying in Silverbanks?

Overall kept me hooked, I felt the ending could use a bit more punch to bring a satisfying conclusion that would push this to 5*.

Still worth the read!

Good plot with believable characters and easy read - what’s not to like! I did guess quite early on the denouement so have knocked off one star for that but overall an enjoyable book.

Sue Fortin's Your Little Little Lies is an addicting domestic thriller that keeps you guessing at every turn. When Hannah and her husband, Jasper, move into their dream home in the exclusive Silverbanks neighborhood, everything seems perfect. But when Hannah recognizes her neighbor from a past she'd rather forget, her safe new life quickly unravels, and suspense takes hold. As the tension builds, secrets emerge, and the story takes on a life of its own, pulling you deeper into its mystery.

This is my first Sue Fortin book, and I was captivated from the very start. The book had me in tears more than once, especially when it touched on the emotional toll of separation between mother and child. Fortin masterfully keeps the suspense alive, weaving through dual timelines that gradually reveal Hannah’s past. However, as more is uncovered, even more questions arise, making it impossible to put the book down. The action-packed plot, told from Hannah’s point of view, adds to the sense of unease as unspoken truths bubble beneath the surface.

The ending, while incredibly satisfying, felt a bit rushed with some things tied up too neatly. There were a few too many perfect coincidences, and some gaps in the past timeline could have been filled out a bit more. That said, it was still a thrilling ride. The hard-hitting emotional aspects and the complex relationship dynamics between mother and child also packed a punch, adding another layer of depth.

Though some parts felt a bit OTT, I thoroughly enjoyed this read and can’t wait to explore more from Sue Fortin. I loved the writing style, the gripping action, and the suspense. It’s a story that tugs at your heartstrings while keeping you on the edge of your seat with its twists and secrets.

A big thank you to Storm Publishing, Sue Fortin, and NetGalley for giving me a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Laurel/Hannah has had a rough life and her past holds one of her deepest darkest secret. And she has been able to keep her secrets in the past where they belong, until someone comes into her life and stirs the pot without her knowledge. Hannah from the present must protect Laurel ( herself) from the past in order to keep her current family from finding out her secret, a must read!

I loved this book! Things started to unravel a few pages in and that's exactly how I like my thrillers to be! The story was the perfect combination of emotions, twists, and shocks. The ending left me satisfied, and I almost cried at how perfect Jasper was. I mean....do men like that really exist? Overall, a solid thriller for me!

Hannah, Jasper and their little girl Pia have moved into their dream home in Silverbanks, a luxury gated neighbourhood (reminiscent of Sandbanks which I have visited before so could easily picture this). Jasper is aware Hannah holds a secret, something from a life before he met her, he hopes she can open up to him but he never pushes her for it. Hannah meets her next door neighbour, the recognition means only one thing, her past has caught up with her.
When unexplainable things started to happen, Hannah didn’t seem too concerned, they were small unconnected things but when the life changing events started Hannah knows she has to be smarter to stop her whole world from spiralling.
Sue did such a great job of keeping the twists and turns coming, some of which I had guessed correctly, this did not detract from the story at all, I actually that I could piece it together correctly!
Thank you NetGalley, Sue Fortin and Storm Publishing for this ARC, all opinions expressed are my own.

Holy crap! Talk about hard to put down! The twists and turns were crazy! I thought I figured out the first twist but definitely not the last! Laurel witnessed a murder and this is where it gets crazy. Her husband Matt doesn’t want her to testify be it would ruin his life…the murderer is his new business partner and the person he killed was a criminal anyway so why does it matter…umm hello..she goes in to witness protection where she has to leave her husband and son since he doesn’t feel he should be apart of it. She meets Jasper and starts a new life as Hannah. Jasper doesn’t known her past until she crazy things start happening. Highly recommend this thriller!

This book was excited well. I do feel like the ending was rushed which took away from the climax. But overall this was a page turner and left me wanting more

What do you do when you witness the unthinkable and the life you know is changed forever? That is the premise of this book. The characters were well defined and captivating. This book was a page turner wanting to see what would be revealed.

This story is told with dual timelines: the present, and 10 years previous to the present. Hannah, Jaspar and their daughter, Pia, have just moved into a new home in a new community looking for a fresh start. They begin to make friends when Hannah meets neighbors that she recognizes, and whom recognizes her. She knew them from her "former" life, and now becomes fearful that secrets will come out.

I liked the way the story was told in the two timelines. We get to see Hannah with Jaspar now, and compare her to Hannah from 10 years ago. She becomes anxious and fearful for her family's safety- but since Jaspar does not know about her past, it is a slippery slope. I was engaged with most of the story- especially how she handled the stalking and murders in the past. The tension and mystery are dominant through the story. There is a bit of a twist, and honestly I was a bit surprised.

My only struggle was that the story dragged a little in the middle. However, I was engaged and did enjoy it!! I look forward to reading another title by this author!

Many thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the ARC. This is my honest and voluntary review.

Hannah and her husband Jasper move to Silverbanks, a luxury gated compound. For Hannah this is a dream come true. A place to settle, to make friends with the other residents and raise their daughter Pia. If only life could be that simple. When Hannah recognises her next door neighbour as someone from her past, it seems a past she thought left behind long ago is about to come back with a vengeance.

This is a very cleverly woven plot, moving between past and present and creating a suspenseful story as the reader learns of the other life Hannah had before this one, and the danger she now finds herself in. It's a gripping read, with great characters and an explosive ending.

Highly recommended.

I would like to thank Storm Publishing, the author and Netgalley for an ARC of Your Litle Lies in exchange for an honest review.

I very much recommend this book if you are a mystery fan. It starts off with Hannah and her husband Jasper getting a house for their little family of three in a posh neighborhood. The neighbors are…interesting. You know that one neighbor who has her nose in everyone’s business and makes sure you are following the bylaws to a T? Cough, Karen, you know who you are. There’s that, the single young woman who just might be Hannah’s new best friend, and the retired cop from Hannah’s past. A past her husband knows nothing about, and one in which Hannah would very much appreciate staying in the past. But as strange happenings occur in their new neighborhood, we start flashing back to Hannah’s, formerly known as Laurel, past life. With a completely different husband, and child.
The story draws you in quickly, but only feeds you bits and pieces as to why things didn’t work out for her former life as Laurel, and making you try to fit together those pieces to find out who is causing all the mayhem for Hannah now. I found myself solidly hooked by this one, and just when I thought it was over, bam! Another twist for poor Hannah.
I gave this a solid 4.5⭐️, and will be looking for other books by Sue Fortin.

I really enjoyed this novel, bouncing back and forth between present day and the mysterious past. Lovely couple Hannah and Jasper are off to a new chapter of their lives when they buy a luxurious beach home in a prestigious gated community, complete with the busy-body Homeowners Group leader.

This idyllic location is just right for their daughter to be safe and happy. After meeting their new next door neighbor, Hannah realizes she knows him from her past, and he has recognized her. Sue Fortin did a wonderful job to keep me on edge and digging into the story more and more as bits and pieces came to light. The wrap up was satisfying as well.

Thanks to NetGalley, Storm Publishing and Sue Fortin for the eARC.

I love this. It was hooked right away. I like how the author drops little bits of lore about Hannah as we go. I was like "I have to find out what happened to Declan!"
Even when I got bored a few times I was determined to get to that lore. Amazing. Love it.

Secrets, twists, lies, deception and recognition rule the day in Your Little Lies! Sue Fortin crafted a tale that takes place in the present and ten years earlier. A lot can happen in ten years, right!?! Well, a lot has happened....

Hannah, Jasper and their daughter, Pia, have recently moved into a new home in a new community. It’s a fresh beginning for them in a home with a wonderful view. Hannah has made a friend, but she has also met a neighbor who she recognizes and who recognizes her! As her anxiety piques, she can't help but think about safety issues, the past, and just how dangerous things could become.

While I enjoyed this book, I didn't love it. I found it to be a bit slow at times and this felt like a much longer book than 338 pages. I did enjoy the mystery but wanted more oomph. I enjoyed that I did not figure this book out, the author kept me guessing the entire book. There is a nice amount of tension, twists, and secrets flowing throughout the book, which I always enjoy.

So glad I decided to add this title to my NetGalley Bookshelf. It is always a risk to select an unknown to me author, when I have so many books I want to read from authors I know. Now I have another author to follow.

A dual time line thriller 'Your Little Lies' is centred around the female protagonist Hannah. She has just moved with her family to their dream home. It is a shock when she recognises a neighbour as someone from a past life she has kept secret from her partner. The storyline jumps between what is happening in the present and events of ten years ago. So many twists and turns, although I did work out some of what was happening correctly, but there were still many surprises!

An addictive read that I raced through and would definitely recommend to fans of domestic thrillers.

With thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read and review 'Your Little Lies'
