Everybody lies once in a while, but often they are about something rather trivial. You don't want to hurt someone's feelings or you feel a bit ashamed about something.

And then there are times you lie, because of a far more important reason: your aim is to potect.

This is my first book by this author and if all her thrillers are like this one, they are must reads without any doubt.

I was captivated by Hannah's story and was anxious to find out her secrets.

This author is a born storyteller and I liked the setting of this book. I liked the fluent writing style and she created very good characters.

There was nothing I didn't like and it had everything I do like. In short, an amazing read. 5 stars

Thank you

When Hannah moves into her new home with her husband Jasper and daughter Pia, she is overwhelmed by the beauty that surrounds her. A lovely home with floor-to-ceiling glass doors overlooking the ocean and what appears to be a friendly community—what more can she ask for?
Everything soon comes crashing down around her when her past, which she has been hiding from her husband, may suddenly be revealed. She comes face to face with her next-door neighbor – who was a part of that past. Hannah's world slowly crumbles around her when, in her frantic attempt to hide her past, she suddenly finds herself being arrested for murder.

Sue Fortin has written a corker here! Hannah and Jasper move to Silverbanks. Jasper has been Hannahs rock for the last few years but he doesn't know about her secret past. The intrigue begins when Hannah recognises their next door neighbour from her previous life and she is sent into a spiral of panic.
This story is truly gripping and has some suprising twists. Some great characters and you are always keen to read 'just one more chapter'. It has definitely helped me through this heatwave when it has been too hot to sleep!! I thoroughly recommend this book!

This was my first by Sue and won't be my last! I binged this one in a day and a half and LOVED it. The writing was fast, propulsive and was the perfect book to lure me into for a weekend binge. This was an unexpected delight! All the Stars!

Hannah and Jasper move to what is described the perfect new house and location for a new start. Hannah befriends Annabelle who moved into the community a few weeks beforehand. Hannah also learns her new neighbor Bryan is from her past which she is desperately trying to keep secret from everyone around her including Jasper. Her secret can't stay hidden to long.

One of the best books I've read in a long time. Your Little Lies had me asking so many questions throughout the book. Every plot twist and turn had me guessing what was next only to be completely wrong. The story is made up of lies, murder, mystery and a secret know one should have to live with.

I really enjoyed this authors writing style as well as the plot of the book. there were a few times I thought the book was winding down and I knew what was happening and I was wrong! A great read, lots of secrets and twists! I finished it in a few days I was eager to pick it up again when I could.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for my copy of this book.

Hannah and her partner Jasper, daughter Pia and dog Luna, move into a new home right on the beach. It is a gated community with lots of rules and a welcoming committee. Soon Hannah makes friends with Annabelle, another newcomer. Both ladies are hiding something, and strange things begin to happen.

Told from Hannah’s point of view but also with chapters form Laurel. We don’t know who Laurel is or the connection to Hannah. It’s not revealed until later on in the book, but I had an inkling of where the story was going. The final who dunnit was a complete surprise though. I enjoyed how things were built up in the story. As soon as a reveal was on the cusp, the narrative switched to the other character. I would recommend!

This was such a twisty domestic thriller. I’d think I understood what was going on and then it would suddenly turn and I’m surprised by what happened. This happened many times. My heart went out to Hannah. She lost and endured so much trying to do the right thing. I loved Jasper. He is the sweetest man. Such a good and kind soul. This had me rapidly turning pages. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced free copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own. I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley.

Hannah and Jasper move to a new housing complex, along with their daughter Pia.
Hannah, an introvert, meets Annabelle, who she instantly likes.
Their neighbour, Bryan, a retired police officer, knows Hannah from the past, and soon, there are odd things happening in the complex, and then Bryan is found deceased on the beach after sending Hannah a message to meet him.

I enjoyed this novel, it was twisty and fast paced. However, I fail to see why Hannah should have been ashamed of her past, she had done nothing wrong.
The book is suspenseful and emotional in places, especially at the end.

Thanks to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for the opportunity to read this book.

Loved this. The storyline was something a bit different and very well written. I really enjoyed the fictional location Silverbanks as i know the real location it was based on quite well so was easy to visualise.
I became immersed in this book one sunny day and read it far to quickly!
Fab read.
My thanks to netgalley and the publisher for my copy.

Hannah and Jasper move into their dream home along with daughter Pia and dog Luna. Hannah is always a jumpy around people so she knew the neighbors barbecue might be a problem. Jasper being the loving person that he is said all will be fine. So they go and all was fine until Hannah realized she knew her neighbor. Someone from her past a past no one including Jasper knew about. So Hannah meets Brayan later and finds out she was right. Yet what is she hiding?

Hannah’s happy life starts to unravel when she is set to meet Bryan a few nights later only to find him dead. Then things go missing in her home. She always feels someone is in her home during the night especially when Jasper is away on business. Her home is vandalized on the outside who is doing this to her? How can she protect her family if her past is catching up to her? Plus she needs to know who killed Bryan. She confides in her friend Annabelle who is also a neighbor. Yet Hannah is seeing that Annabelle is not who she says she is. Who can Hannah trust? What really happened in her past, and why can’t she tell Jasper?

What a rollercoaster of a ride this book took me . This book was a real thriller and kept me guessing right up to the end. It is exactly what I want from a thriller. Well written characters and plot. All around a great book.

Thank you NetGalley and Storm for the ARC and also Ms. Fortin for a well written book. Look forward to reading more from her. 4.5 stars

Thank you to Netgalley and Storm Publishing for the arc.
Jasper puts his arm around my shoulder and kisses the top of my head. ‘Happy new home, darling.’ A shiver runs through me. Will I be happy here? Will I finally be safe?
When Hannah and Jasper move to Silverbanks, a luxury gated neighbourhood, it’s a dream come true. Or is it.
This book was well crafted with so many twists and the end plot twist was one I didn't see coming.
Hannah has a past and one that reveals in the book over time, the reason she's taken on a new identity came as a brilliant surprise it wasn't at what I thought It'd be.
Sue Fortin has a brilliant mind that is pronounced in this extremely clever crime fiction read, honestly I devoured this book and the ending didn't disappoint. I cannot wait to read more of this Author. I love it when an author has me glued to the book and heavily invested in the characters which with Hannah I was.
I can't recommend this book highly enough, from start to finish an absolute page turner.

Hannah Towers and her partner Jasper Gunderson have relocated from busy, noisy London to the idyllic Silverbanks area on the south coast. Thanks to a substantial inheritance from Jasper’s grandmother, plus the sale of their property in the city, they are now the owners of a beautiful house in a very desirable area. Not one of the area’s mansions, but still a forever home for them and their daughter Pia. The only fly in the ointment is the residents association Chairperson, Elizabeth Rooke, with interfering and bossy ways that take some getting used to.

Whilst Jasper is outgoing and makes friends easily, Hannah is quite different. Very reserved, with no friends, she welcomes the move to somewhere less sociable than London, somewhere she can keep her secrets close to her chest. Or maybe not!

I liked this book, it was a very easy garden read on a perfect summer’s day. The plot was interesting and quickly became a page turner. It did wander about a bit after the initial captivating start, but the ending was good, though no real surprises.

The only problem I have is that some of the mawkish narrative and dialogue was overbearing, too much M and B for my taste (with apologies to M and B fans), it needed something grittier.

3.5*

Thank you NetGalley and Storm Publishing.

While I love the author’s historical fiction books the best, I’ll still always reach for her psychological thrillers!

In examining the deception of appearances and fresh starts, Fortin whisks us away to the south coast of England and introduces us to a community that will both intrigue and shock us. Silverbanks is no Twickenham, that’s for sure!

Be forewarned, once you visit 9 First Avenue and the Silverbanks community, you’ll find it difficult to leave. Like unwanted and uncontrollable ivy, they have a way of wrapping their lives around you and squeezing out all your hidden secrets.

Readers become aware that Jasper Gunderson, Hannah Towers and their 7-year-old daughter Pia have come to the south looking for a fresh start. It soon becomes apparent that something that happened 11 years ago has Hannah on edge. Sit back and allow Fortin to slowly unravel Operation Camelot and show you that even the best of secrets can’t stay hidden for long!

I was immediately hooked, read looking for clues and snickered at the Resident’s Association and its far reach!

Fortin is an auto-read author for me!

I was gifted this copy by Storm Publishing and NetGalley and was under no obligation to provide a review.

Your Little Lies by new to me author S. Fortin, published by Storm Publishing is an absolute gripping thriller. A story that had me right from the start. Twisty and fast paced, complex and complicated in the best way.
Blurb: When Hannah and Jasper move to Silverbanks, a luxury gated neighbourhood, it’s a dream come true. This house, with its floor-to-ceiling glass doors, direct access to the sandy beach, and close-knit, caring community, will be the perfect place to raise their precious daughter, Pia.
And then Hannah meets her next-door neighbour. The flicker of recognition in his eyes only lasts for a second, but it’s enough. Suddenly, her safe haven has become the most dangerous place she could be. Unless she does something about it…

Thanks to NetGalley and Storm Publishing for this Advanced Reader’s Copy of Your Little Lies by Sue Fortin due to be published September 6, 2024.
When Hannah and Jasper move to Silverbanks, they are ecstatic! What’s not to love about a huge house with floor-to-ceiling windows near a beach? But when Hannah meets her next-door neighbor from her past, she is afraid all her happiness will start unraveling. Will she be safe here or will her past catch up with her?
This was a true thriller – alternating between Hannah’s present life and her past life as another person with another family. Both her past and her present lives are connected by a few people – one she knows, one she doesn’t, and one she has no clue about is even a factor. It all comes together in a very satisfying way!
You should definitely put this on your TBR list!
