I liked the idea behind this book - A Queen on Halloween and I thought that the story was great - it really gets the message of self-acceptance and believing in yourself across well.
I will say that I wasn't a fan of the illustrations in the book (they weren't for me but I have seen other reviews praising them but it's just my own honest personal opinion) but the rest was great.
The story carries some important messaging over very well and hopefully it will help to improve the confidence of any readers of the story. It is 3.5 stars from me for this one, rounded up to 4 stars for Amazon and Goodreads.

Cute childrens book about wanting to be accepted when trying to choose a Halloween costume for their schools Halloween Contest.
A Queen on Halloween is a delightful children’s book that perfectly captures the spirit of Halloween while delivering a heartwarming message about self-acceptance. Cleo’s excitement over a school costume contest is tempered by a deeper, emotional journey that unfolds as her mother notices her unease. The book’s gentle approach to addressing insecurities and its engaging Halloween theme made it a joy to read. I especially loved how it encourages kids to embrace who they are while celebrating a fun and festive occasion.
