Beautiful book with gorgeous photographs, easy to follow recipes, and commentary on iconic cocktails from throughout Atlanta (including OTP). Some of the cocktails are too complex for lazy people like me, but many are more approachable. Arranged by neighborhood, with multiple cocktails from most establishments. This book is a must-have for cocktail-loving Atlantans and wanna-be Atlantans. #AtlantaCocktails #NetGalley
I did not really have any knowledge of cocktails and mixology and stuff like that but it was great learning more about stuff like that.
I love the South! I have very fond memories of a trip there and so when I saw this cocktail recipe book I knew I had to take a look. With its eye catching cover, you can’t help but be drawn in.
There are 100+ cocktail recipes inside with a bit of history about each one. The photographs demonstrate the end result so you’ll know whether you’ve gone right or wrong when making! I have never heard of some of the cocktails and they all sound so delicious. Some of the ingredients are a little unusual so I’m not sure if this would be a hindrance but I’m sure if you’re having a special occasion then you may not mind having to source the ingredients from independent suppliers.
This would make a great gift for a cocktail lover or a wonderful addition to your drinks cabinet.
As someone from Atlanta, I was SO excited to have a look through here. I've been looking for a lot of new recipes and ways to improve my drink making, so this was such a good one! Also, I think some could be turned into mocktails as well, which will be useful as the year ends and I try to try non-alcoholic cocktails as well.
Thank you to NetGalley and Cider Mill Press for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

This is a fun collection of cocktails curated by bars and mixologist in the Atlanta area. Each chapter is broken up by neighborhoods with a blurb about the bar or person presenting the delicious concoctions. Each recipe includes a photo, list of ingredients and easy to follow instructions. Some of the entries are very unique, Toasted Sesame Brown Sugar Syrup or chicken fat gin, while others are more common, pisco sour or appletini. The photographs are a bit pedestrian and not as exciting as the cocktails themselves deserve. Overall this is a great collection of cocktails for the home mixologist looking to spice up their repertoire.
If you’re a cocktail enthusiast or just love Southern hospitality, this book is a treasure trove of recipes and insider tips. One of my absolute favorites has to be the Peach Old Fashioned. It’s a perfect blend of classic and Southern flair, and I ended up making it for a dinner party with friends. It was a huge hit, and now it’s become my go-to for any gathering where I want to add a little something special.
This is amazing book of cocktails. If you lived in the city, you could plan your nights out around it. If you live in the mountains and rarely go inside the perimeter, you can only dream. Although we have a more than adequate bar, there are very few of these could make at home. This is not a small book, it has 100’s of recipes. The book also provides information about the establishment and the bartenders. Lots of pictures. Great holiday gift or maybe a coffee table book for a vrbo. Happy drinking!
This was a fun book about the cocktail scene in Atlanta. It broke it down into various areas in and around Atlanta - Buckhead, Midtown, In Town Neighborhoods, etc. The book features various recipes and where you can find the drink. Each drink has a short intro and detailed recipe with photo. I also enjoyed reading the short history of cocktails in Atlanta included in the book. Thank you NetGalley for this ARC.
The content is rich however I am used to much more sleek and interesting presentations by Quarto and this fell a little less interesting in that sense. The concept of state-themed cocktails is awesome though.
