Thanks to the Publisher and Netgalley for an early review copy.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book by Helga Jensen.
From the time Olivia’s husband left her for someone else on Christmas Eve, she’s been on her own in the big house and hasn’t been outside the house. Not happy to be around others, scared of hearing what they will say about her or in case she sees her ex husband with his new family.
The only contact she has is with the postman,
The only person she was close to was her Aunt Grace, and since she’s died, Olivia’s life is stuck, and she can’t begin to live the life she once did.
The postman delivers a letter to her from the solicitor of her Aunt Grace's and after a while, she decides she should reply to what was said in it.
Her Aunt stated in her Will that Olivia is to go to Prague and find someone called Marek, the person her Aunt loved and give him a message. Only once this is done will she receive her inheritance. So Olivia knows, if she doesn’t go, she won’t get it.
I loved this story, how Olivia begins to find herself again and enjoy the season she once loved.
The descriptions of Prague at Christmas were just fabulous and made me wish I was there seeing them for myself.
I highly recommend this book.

When Olivia's beloved Aunt Grace passes away, she must deliver a message to her aunt's lost love, Marek, in Prague before inheriting her estate. Reluctantly traveling to Prague at Christmas, Olivia struggles to find Marek, only to discover he passed away years earlier. However, she meets Marek's nephew, Tomas, and begins to heal from her painful divorce, regaining her confidence through the warmth of his family and their shared history. As Olivia and Tomas grow closer, they face a choice: let love slip away like her aunt did, or embrace their chance at happiness. This heartfelt story, filled with enchanting descriptions of Prague, offers a touching blend of romance, self-discovery, and the magic of second chances.

This book kind of started on a sad note with a family death. But then the holiday magic of traveling and having a real holiday started. I loved that Olivia got to have a fun time in prague as well as with her second chance romance. I truly didnt want this to end I love a good holiday romcom.

Well Helgas done it again! From the first chapter I was hooked, I did not want to put this book down. As soon as you start the book it’s Christmas vibes.
When Olivias aunt dies she gives her one job. to go to Prague and find the man she once loved and pass on a message. Olivia takes on her aunts wishes but not all is as it seems which leads to further discoveries.
I loved Olivia’s character but also loved Tomas and Albert who were really warm hearted lovable characters. The book gives you second chance vibes and highlights how what happens in the past can affect your future.
The book was such an easy read and melted your heart. Will Olivia and Thomas prove love can exist again or throw it away like her aunt did?
I loved the Christmassy descriptions of Prague and it heightened all your senses. It gave you warm, cosy Christmas vibes in a beautiful setting.
If you read any Christmas book this year it needs to be this one. Go pre order or add it to your wishlist now. You also need to go and check Helgas other books out of you haven’t already. They are all equally fabulous!
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC of this book.

Since Olivia's husband walked out on her to start a new life with another women one Christmas Eve she has been left alone in her big house. The closet person to her,Aunt Grace has passed away and Olivia can't get her life together.
Stuck in her house for fear of going outside and hearing people gossiping about her or bumping into to her ex husband ,his new with and their children, Olivia stays home all day in her onsie, eating junk food that gets delivered, only talking briefly to the postman.
When she receives letters and calls from Aunt Grace's lawyer she decides it 's time she responded.
The Will states that Olivia has to travel to Prague to deliver a message to Marek,a lost love of her aunt. Easier said than done Olivia debates on the fact that if she doesn't go she won't get the inheritance left to her.
This is such a lovely story. I could feel the tension in Olivia as she navigates what she hopes will be a different life.
The sights and sounds of Prague at Christmas are just amazing and would entice anyone to go and see them for themselves.
This is the first book I had read by this author but I have downloaded another couple of her books as I enjoyed this one so much.
At a time when there is so much horrible things going on in the world this book will take you away from all that.
Five stars.

When you read a book by a new to you author and you're just blown away. Now I realize I have a lot of catching up to do.
This book may have made me wipe a few tears away and more than ever I realize not to let a once in a lifetime opportunity slip away. Oh, my heart! The perfect book with all the feels, such a charming and delightful book that had me smiling the whole while I read it.
I've never read a book taking place in Prague and my journey was full of delightful scenery, fun customs, delicious foods and enchanting dialogue.
Olivia is devested when her Aunt Grace passes. She was like a grandmother to her, and they were very close. She is set to inherit everything her aunt owns but must first pass on a message to her aunt's lost true-love, Marek.
Having never been to Prague she really doesn't want to go but her aunt's solicitor talks her into it. Jumping on a plane to Prague at Christmas time is not idea with the business but is preferable to sitting around thinking about her divorce she has recently gone through.
Finding Mareck is not easy but does happen, well his family anyways as they say he has passed years ago. Mareck was her Aunt Grace's lost love but circumstances beyond their control kept them apart and Olivia was to give him a last message from her aunt.
As she meets Marek’s nephew, Tomas she starts to once again come alive after being belittled and made to feel inadequate in her marriage. Oh, I loved the Christmassy descriptions of Prague. It was so refreshing to see Olivia regain her self-confidence with Mareck's family as they go through letters sent by her aunt so long ago. Will Tomas and Olivia let their special chance at love slip away when she has to return home just like her aunt has or will this fairytale romance continue to shine bright for all time?
Pure delight can't wait to look up more by the author and get reading.
I was given a complimentary copy of this book.

A Christmas in Prague is the latest holiday book I’ve read. Let me tell you, this book is one to read!

I only discovered this author recently and am loving their books and how they write about real people and relatable situations and also about characters that are in their 40s and 50s and what situations and decisions they might find themselves having to deal with.
A Christmas in Prague takes the reader on a journey of self discovery and second chances and how the events of the past can have a bearing on the future in this beautiful tale of Olivia travelling to Prague to carry out her late aunts wishing and what she discovers about herself
And her aunts past along the way.
Loved the characters and the setting and Prague is now on my wish list of want to visit places.
This was an uplifting yet heartbreaking read with sone laugh out loud moments and also some tearful ones.
Look forward to seeing what this author writes next.

I’ve just finished A Christmas in Prague! Omg I loved it! The beginning of it was exactly how I felt after shielding for 2 years after covid. I had no Confidence, was terrified of my shadow, was ignoring bills, friends so I could find myself with Olivia. Albeit a diff situation. I was willing her on to go for it and omg she did! I now want to go to Prague, to see the nutcracker, the markets and the castle, you made it all come alive. I couldn’t put this book down! Started it this morning and finished it in tears! Thank you for giving me a lovely afternoon! Fell in love with all the characters and can’t wait to read the next one! Thank you x

Oh this story was just the most darling Christmastime story. I just so resignated with the main character and her sweet story. The setting was beautiful and I felt like I was taken to another place. Well done!
