Iceborn, the 2nd book in Michael Livingston's Seaborn Cycle series, continues the fascinating combination of a fast-paced page-turning nautical adventure that still manages to focus on the POV characters of the story its predecessor had. With the addition of new characters and different points of vire in addition to the familiar favourite characters Livingston masterfullly shows the reader the uniquenes of each charactet, their societies and continues to ensure that each of them has enoough (page) time and space to develop so the reader can either get to know them or learn more.
The balance between storytelling and character development was excellent. Although the characters were young,g I felt that the author managed to realistically capture how a young person would react and behave in a situation depicted in the book. The unpredictability of the ending and the ending itself was a delightful surprise and had me itching for the sequel.
Rating 4.5 stars

The second book in the series and a sequel to Seaborn. Usually I find that a sequel book does not deliver as much as the first but in this case it is a great follow up. The world is padded out and expanded making it feel so much more of a real place. The characters continue to grow throughout the book. A delight.

Both Iceborn and it's predecessor Seaborn are just the most magical reads - you really feel like you've been dropped straight into this amazing world.

I gave this book 5 stars because I loved the experience of reading this book. Iceborn by Michael Livingston is such a good book. Totally recommend it.

I found this to be an amazing sequel. The world really expanded in this book which I enjoyed a lot. I also enjoyed the character developments! I absolutely adore the characters. The plot has a nice pace and I liked how the book had some romance elements aswell.
This was definitely a fun action packed book! And I had a lot of fun reading it.
