The Oversight is an interesting start to a new urban fantasy series. Fletcher has created an interesting and imaginative secret history/world. The story keeps readers guessing a bit about the nature of the Oversight itself, and Fletcher's writing is very good too.

It reminded me a bit of Neil Gaiman's work, as well as Ben Aaronovitch (without the more-concrete connection to the "official" real world).

Really interesting and enjoyable. Looking forward to reading the next book.
