Remember Her Name
Lisa Regan
September 17, 2024

We are back in Denton, Pennsylvania. It’s a hot, humid day and Detective Josie Quinn is standing outside a caller’s home. Elderly Margaret Bonitz is certain that someone has broken into her home. Nothing appears to be stolen but she is certain that she and her dog are in danger. Josie’s colleague, Kyle Turner has entered the home to do the room to room search. Yes, a classic day it seems for the small town police department of Denton. All were in hopes of returning to the department for iced drinks and air conditioning until the phones started ringing. A baby was found in her stroller in the park. No sign of her parents - only the mother’s cell phone that she had used to dial 911.
Remember Her Name will be published by Bookouture on September 14, 2024. This will be Lisa Regan’s 21st book in the Detective Josie Quinn series. I was able to read and review Remember Her Name via NetGalley. I appreciate Bookouture allowing me to read her next in this terrific series. Once again, I am astounded by the cloak and dagger storyline that Regan provides her readers. It seems that each new sequel becomes more on edge and eerie than the last. Her fans are waiting for this one while suspense readers should pick up this harrowing new tale. Enjoy!

“Remember Her Name” is the 21st book in Lisa Regan's compelling Josie Quinn series. In this installment, Detective Josie Quinn embarks on a tense search for a missing mother, Cleo Tate, which leads her to Cold Heart Creek and a twisted killer's deadly game involving photos and past crime scenes. As the investigation intensifies, Josie must confront painful memories from her past to stop the killer before more lives are taken.

As a long-time fan of the series, I thoroughly enjoyed this latest entry, though I found it a bit convoluted at times. Some of the plot twists left me feeling lost, requiring me to carefully keep track of the characters and events. However, the engaging dynamic between Josie and Noah continues to be a highlight, even if the subplot of them starting a family feels somewhat drawn out. Turner is also growing on me, though I think the ongoing comments about him could be toned down a bit.

Overall, “Remember Her Name” is another solid entry in the Josie Quinn series. I appreciate NetGalley for the early release copy in exchange for an honest review. I’m giving it 4 stars.

There’s a serial killer who seems to be playing games with law enforcement. The killer leaves Polaroid pictures at the scene of his crimes, but they don’t offer many clues until it finally clicks in Josie’s mind that she recognizes the locations from past cases. But what story is the killer trying to tell with the photos and the deaths, and what does it have to do with Josie?

Twists, turns, danger, drama, and more! This is an awesome addition to the series. We also see some positive changes in Kyle Turner, too.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

After an author writes about 15 books in a series one usually gets bored and moves on. But not the case with this author and series.

I love Josie and her family. I love she is a strong female character who doesn’t hesitate to do what’s right.

This series could go on forever and I still think Lisa Regan would find new ways for Josie to solve crime.

Thank you to netgalley, the author and the publisher for the advance copy to read.

I have only recently discovered the Josie Quinn series and flew through all 21 in no time at all.

This, like the rest of the series, is a wonderful mix of crime investigation, relationships and clever turns.

I really enjoy Lisa Regans writing style and how she gets the perfect balance in all the books. Often times I cannot work out who the culprit is.

I'd recommend this series to anyone.

This is another page turner in the Josie Quinn series! The situations are very realistic and the characters and plots are well thought out. When the detectives are called to a park because of an abandoned baby they set out on a path that seems to make them one step behind a killer. There are lots of possibilities for a killer but which one is the actual killer! Josie, Noah and all the detectives as well as the police officers in Denton, Texas, set out to figure out the clues left with dead bodies. The author appears to add a bit of humor to the story at the expense of the newest member of the team, Kyle Turner. Maybe he’ll finally prove himself in the next book! If you’re a fan of thrillers with lots of twists this is the series for you. I’m anxious to get my hands on the next book in this series. While this can be a stand-alone book I feel it would be better to start with the first book in the series to know how things progress for Josie in both her personal and professional lives. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.

Irresistibly intriguing!

Lisa again delivers a plot that draws you in and holds you captive as Josie and the team track a serial killer, one playing a game with them, but what is their endgame?

Book 21 is a masterful mystery, with unexpected twists and characteristic heartfelt moments of the beloved main cast.

Fans of the series, you will devour this one quickly!

Detective Josie Quinn and her cast of characters are doing what they do best which is solve murders. It seems the team is working more cohesively after the death of their colleague. Josie is back to more herself in this book. Everyone families seem to be extending and I am excited to see how that shakes out in future books. Also, the work relationship with Turner and Quinn appears to be going in a positive direction.

Thank you Bookouture and NetGalley for the Advanced Read Copy. Also, thank you Lisa Regan!

I’ve been following the Detective Josie Quinn series ever since the very first book came out, and it is without doubt one of my favorite detective thriller series. I’m always looking forward to spend more time with its characters, so it’s a treat whenever a new sequel finds its way to my kindle. Remember Her Name follows the same formula I’ve become used to with these books... And while a certain character kind of put a damper on things again, I still had a great time reading what is already book number 21! of a series that shows no signs of slowing down.

While technically you could read Remember Her Name as a stand-alone, I personally wouldn’t recommend it. This series focuses a lot on the personal development of the main characters as well as the actual crime, and it’s best to read the series in order both for the character background and because you will avoid spoilers this way. This sequel in particular includes multiple references to previous cases/books, so this makes reading the series in order even more important. Especially since there are once again developments on a personal level... The case itself does stand completely on its own though.

I loved meeting up with Josie Quinn and the rest again, with one significant exception: Turner. And here is where once again things went wrong for me, because Turner is such a horrible character and having to deal with his antics, sexist comments, lack of teamwork and laziness over and over again really started to frustrate me. Sure, he is slightly better than in the previous book, but he still put a damper on things for me. Especially since the character he replaced was so easy to like... I get that the author wanted to shake things up, but having to deal with him distracted too much from the rest of the plot.

That said, I did love the case itself in Remember Her Name. It seems like a simple kidnapping case, but of course it turned out to be so much more complicated... I loved the references to previous cases, and it was interesting to see the present case develop. I did guess part of the truth right as I spotted a certain suspect/character straight away, but there were also things I didn't see until the whole picture was revealed. As always, there is plenty of action and danger to be found along the way, and there are plenty of twists and secrets to keep you busy. The writing style is just as engaging as always, and I loved the banter between the characters (with the exception of Turner).

If you are looking for an engaging, fast-paced and suspenseful detective thriller, I can highly recommend this series in general. Things can be said about the credibility, but the entertainment factor is high! I already can’t wait to see what Josie and the rest will be up to next (although I can’t deny that I’m not looking forward to meet up with Turner again).

Wow, wow, wow!!! Another amazing adventure with Josie that had me engrossed the second I started reading. From learning more about early Josie to her ever-evolving relationship with Turner, this book is a phenomenal story that takes you deep inside to think what you would do to find and save a baby's mother. Gripping and powerful - this book is one of the best yet! Highly recommend for anyone who loves a fabulously told mystery that keeps you turning pages even when you should be sleeping!

Detective Josie Quinn has her hands full in this exciting thriller packed with hidden messages in search of a serial killer.
Josie and her team race to unravel the clues of the next victim before it’s too late but there are more twists while trying to identify the killer. Just when you think you have it figured out, you’re wrong.

This is a gripping action packed story you don’t want to miss.

Thank you #netgalley #bookouture #josiequinn for this ARC

Another great book in the Josie Quinn series. The story line kept me guessing and I loved the flashbacks to when Josie was a rookie. Also please tell us why Turner is always on his phone. I hope we find out more about him in the next book. I’m already anxiously awaiting the next one.

Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my copy of Remember Her Name by Lisa Regan

I cannot believe this is the 21st book in the Josie Quinn series, normally by now I have given up on the books because they are so similar but not with this one.
The characters are great, the plot baffling, twisty and dark with so many twists I felt dizzy, just trying to work out what was going on.
The new detective is still driving me mad!! Why is he there? We got a bit more information this time and I cannot wait for the great reveal.
A terrific book by a great writer.

I don’t know how she does it, and I say this every time, but I think book 21 is Lisa Regan’s best yet! I cannot fathom how she is able to publish multiple books a year and still have them be this deliciously wonderful! I truly could not put this one down… I was up late into the night clicking pages on my kindle to find out more!

This is a must read series. I love Josie Quinn and team and love when we get glimpses into her past and cases from other books. The flashback in this book hooked me immediately and I was thrilled how the case connected with other major cases from throughout this series. We also got multiple POVs and that was exciting.

I am dying to know more about Kyle Turner! Lisa, you are killing me with these breadcrumbs, but in the best way. I’m excited to learn more about him in the next book!

No spoilers but this book also had me happy sobbing in the scene where JQ says “everything you want is just around that corner.” My heart!

Will forever be a huge fan!

Lisa Reagan is by far one of my favorite authors and this book totally explains why!
Josie Quinn and the gang are one of the best to follow. This one takes you back into Josie's rookie days on the force to help solve the new case at hand and I loved it. It was great to read a bit about her past while she tries to figure out all the clues. You'll be guessing until the end on who is responsible for the deaths!
So yourself a favor and start this series! Thank you Netgalley for the chance to read this book in return for my honest review.

Book 21 of the fabulous Detective Josie Quinn series and wow this is one intriguing and intricate episode of the series so far and it had my head spinning trying to figure out what the heck was going on and it’s oh so clever!
I really admire Lisa Regan as she always makes each individual episode fresh coming up with a totally different storyline that keeps us on our toes every time and that’s no mean feat and proves just what a brilliant author she is.
It’s always a joy being back with Josie and the team and omg I can’t believe that I am actually beginning to like douchebag in a strange kind of way and can’t wait to find out more about him and what’s with his inability to put his phone down he really has become such an enigma.
So a wonderful 5 star read once more and I can’t wait for the next, if you haven’t read this series I really can 100% recommend it and one not to be missed.
Many, many thanks to Lisa, you did it again girl !
My thanks also to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me the opportunity to read the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Like the previous books, this one is well written and has excellent characters, and the plot is really intricate and well thought out. The book is easy to read and entertaining, and I'm happy to see the chapters written in first person POV are gone.
