Look What You Made Me Do by Amy Andrews is a sports romance and the story of Ella and Jake.

Ella is a teacher and Jake is a disgraced football player and these two couldn’t be more different. But Ella‘s school is on the brink of closing and a lot of hope is on Jake when he starts training the school‘s team. They have a good girl bad boy dynamic, and it was very cliche.

Ella and Jake have known each other since highschool and two years ago they had a moment. Their story felt every on and off in the beginning. This was a cute romance, but it wasn’t anything special and very insta lovey and went way too fast. I felt like the characters stayed rather superficial and therefore I wasn’t obsessed with them or their romance.

If you like football romances, this might be worth checking out. 3 stars.

Unfortunately I could not connect with this book at all, and struggled to get through the first few chapters. Like other reviewers, I felt like the writing was AI generated, and I could not connect with the insta love that we see here.

This was a cute romance with a nostalgic feel revolving around a class reunion and saving their old high school.

His number was 87.
He was the best tight end.
The title is a Taylor Swift lyric
But
That's about how far it goes. She's a principal at a run down school that's on the brink of being closed. She needs something to show the board that they can stay open. Enter football...and love

I love a sports romance and this was ok. It certainly not the best but I didn’t DNF. It’s an easy read, it just didn’t it the spot for me.

I did not like this one. The writing style was just not for me at all. The characters felt really juvenile which they should not in this kind of book at all.

I’ve discovered waggling of eyebrows before anything sexual gives me the ick🤢, however I did enjoy this, it was an easy read!

A very sweet, small town, sports read! Absolutely loved this romance book with so much chemistry.

Two years ago Jake and Ella had a steamy night together, never to be spoken about again. Both are judged in their small town by their parents poor decisions and sins.
Jake who left to play in the NFL moves back to town to coach a local football team. Ella a teacher and now raising her little brother is in the midst of saving her school from closure. In close proximity again Jake and Ella rekindle their friendship as sparks begin to fly.

I was hooked from the very beginning and read this in 2 days. It was the perfect mix of unrequited love and good banter.

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Ella is trying to stop her school from being closed. Football star Jake might be able to help. But first, they’ll have to navigate around their chemistry, having grown up in the same town and shared a spicy hookup a couple years before.

First off, this book is categorized as erotica, and I don’t agree with that. It’s a romance, but the spice is not so high that I’d consider it erotica.

There’s a large cast of characters here, and it made it a little hard to keep track of them all at first. I liked Jake and Ella, and her friend Rosie and Simon. But I didn’t connect with the aunts, and I found there to be some lacking from Cam, Miranda, and Trish. I liked how their backstory with Jake was explained later, but I still expected there to be more there.

It was cute. It was a little spicy. But overall it was just ok for me.

First off, love the title and the 87 on the jersey for a nod to Taylor. I love how everything football is now Taylor Swift.

I enjoyed this book, it had much heavier topics than the cover suggests especially dealing with the small town scandals and learning to get over and grow through them. I love the two of them together and the fun coaching aspect. There is a complication but it doesnt drag out so much and ends up being very understandable both times due to the characters natures and backstories. Despite the heavy topics, it was an easy read and a guaranteed HEA.

If you're in the mood for a sizzling sports romance packed with second chances and off-the-charts chemistry, Look What You Made Me Do by Amy Andrews is a must-read. The story reunites former football star Jake Prince, freshly ousted from the NFL, with headstrong high school principal Ella Lucas, who just happens to be the woman he shared a scorching night with two years earlier. Their past might be complicated, but now Ella needs Jake’s help to save her struggling school. All Jake has to do? Coach the school's underdog football team to victory—and maybe redeem his tarnished reputation along the way.

Andrews does a fantastic job bringing Jake and Ella’s sizzling tension to life, blending humor, heat, and plenty of personal growth as these two navigate their undeniable attraction. Their witty, sharp-tongued exchanges fuel a romance that’s both fiery and heartfelt. Jake, with his tough-guy exterior and unexpected vulnerability, is the perfect match for Ella, who is determined to stay focused on saving her school.

With Jake and Ella both trying to keep things “strictly professional,” their chemistry keeps them on a collision course for some truly spicy moments. Look What You Made Me Do is a fun, sexy romance that’s hard to put down, and fans of Amy Andrews’ brand of heat and humor won’t be disappointed!

This story was lots of fun to read and I really enjoyed getting to know the characters. The premise of the story was great and I couldn’t help but root for the characters. I was hoping they would get their happy ever after and also save the school!

The story moved at a lovely pace. I really enjoyed the premise, the sports side of things and the way everyone came together to help for a good cause. The minor characters also brought something to the story. Both Ella and Jake have pasts that are still causing problems in the present. So there is conflict there but I liked how the author brought them together as they worked through it all. The romance was sweet but with a little spice too, a great combination!

Look What You Made Me Do was both fun and engaging! If you like small towns with a hint of sports and of course romance. Then this could be the book for you!

I loved this story! Being from a small town, I completely understand what the 2 main characters, Ella and Jake, were going through. This is quick, easy read watching 2 small town people grow and heal individually and together. There is a lot of spice between these 2! I would recommend if you like sports romances, a little bit of smut, and likable characters! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review!

I truly wanted to love this book- it has a lot of my favorite things. Enemies to lovers, workplace-ish romance, second chance. I just really didn’t like Ella, her brother Cam was a little much but I tried to give him some grace as they both have mommy issues; parts weren’t believable- the coach of the team can’t sit and explain the game while he’s coaching…

I loved the concept, the execution could use some work.

In this fun and sporty enemies to lovers novel, Ella Lucas and Jake Prince, high school classmates, reunite as a principal for the local high school and a bartender after a single memorable night two years ago. With her school on the brink of closure, Ella has no choice but to turn to Jake, perhaps the only person who can help her and her school: as a former NFL player and star for the rival private school, he can coach the new underdog football team to a winning streak in their first season to prevent the school from closing. Continually forced to interact with each other and constantly getting on each other’s nerves, sparks fly between Ella and Jake though one of them is not going to entertain the idea of a relationship. With fantastic characters with incredible chemistry, Andrews has created two classic and tropey protagonists in the best possible way. Tropes galore appear in this book and act as a great backdrop for their interactions and the progression of the plot. For romance readers who are interested in a spicy, tropey, enemies-to-lovers romance novel, Amy Andrews has definitely written a modern romance book that should be on their lists.
