Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy of this e-arc!

At first I was a bit unsure about this book because I thought their connection was going to solely physical which I’m not a big fan of but as the story progressed, I really fell into step with the rhythm of the book and started to thoroughly enjoy what I was reading.

The dynamic was really good and the twist was also something different to what normally happens.

A solid 3.5!!

A small town sports romance, focusing heavily on the repercussions of things in both of the main characters' pasts which still impact them even today. An ex american football player gets called in to help coach a brand new american football team, with the hope of saving the school but will it work?

I enjoyed reading this to be honest! Found it a little slow to pick up at the start but that might have just been me that certain day. An enjoyable read with strong themes of family, friendship, fitting in and doing what is right.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with the eARC.

Great chemistry between Ella and Jake while try to save Deluca High!

Ella Lucas never expected to see Jake Prince in Deluca after their one time together when she was back in Trently burying her mother and finding out that she had a teenage brother But Jake was the new owner of her favorite after work bar in Inverboro when she was dealing with the notice that the school board was intending to close Deluca High where she was the principal because of dropping numbers.

Ella needs something to keep the students in school and maybe a football team was the thing but they didn’t have a coach or any players. But maybe Jake could help because he was retired player even though he didn’t want anything to do with football?

I love how Ella and Jake slowly went from enemies to friends during the course of the football season while they tried to save Deluca High.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was the perfect romance summer romance book I loved every second of reading it☀️. Both characters Ella and Jake were very lovable and the book itself was very fast paced and easy to read! It had some great tropes: small town, sports romance and it has spice 🌶️I really enjoyed the humour and definitely had me giggling a few times. I also really enjoyed Amy’s writing style and
I will definitely be reading more of Amy’s books!

3.5 stars!!

tbh this was such a quick read for me, despite it being written in 3rd POV which threw me off, I think this story was cute hehe.
The two characters had a certain depth that made them suit each other so so well, and the understanding and love that surrounded their relationship made my heart so so warm.

This small town sports romance has it all. Pining, tension, and satisfying character development. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Ella and Jake and their complicated pasts, how they intertwined in more than one way and wound to create something beautiful. At first I took this book to be more light-hearted, but quickly found out there is more than what meets the eye with our main protagonists.

If you're in the mood for a quick, fast paced rom-com to get you out of a funk, I would definitely recommend 'Look What You Made Me Do.' It has the perfect amount of spice and tension, along with plot and character development. Though a little wordy at times, and maybe one two many misunderstandings for me, everything smooths out by the end and I found myself smiling at the pages more than I could count. This is my first book from Amy Andrews and I'll have to keep an eye out for her other works. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Easy and quick read. Super contemporary football romance. First book by Amy and probably won’t be the last. Loved how easily the characters flowed together. No cringy, forced conversation which I love. Ella and Jake are super adorable together and love the sparks between them! Friends to lovers is easily one of my favorite troupes.

Thank you net galley for this ARC!

This was your adult take on a sports romance with Jake being a retired football player. I liked the plot of the nerdy math teacher regrettably falling for the ex football star become coach. I think there is a way for a character to be removed from sports and not be degrading but that didn’t happen here. Ella was a very frustrating character because she complained about being judged so much and then judged other people just as hard. She talked about the cheerleaders being total Barbie dolls and how the high school girls were young with great bodies??? Weird.

Also, the stakes were so just so low. I didn’t really care about the characters or their relationship with each other and the chemistry was lacking.

I am not sure why Jake’s relationship with Trish was such a secret, it didn’t have a huge impact when we found out who she was and why he protected her at the end but it was good for his character I suppose.

This book started out strong for me and I really wanted to like it but in the end I felt nothing for the characters.

Firstly, thank you so much for letting me read Look what you made me do.
Ella has become headteacher unexpectedly, however the she received a letter stating the school may be shut down if there is no improvement.
Jake has retired from professional football, and has followed on his father's footsteps and brought a bar.
The idea to make a high-school football team to earn money may just be the link to make deluca high stay open.

The FMC in this book gave me the ick so bad I forced myself to finish it, hoping for some character development… there was not. This was just not for me.

I received an arc of this book from NetGalley, and I was so pleasantly surprised!! Look what you made me do was a fun, quick read that, despite the title, was not inundated with Taylor Swift references to the point of being cheesy (I say that as a Swifty).

Jake and Ella were really lovable characters, and I was excited by the depth we got in their arcs. This combined small-town romance with a little bit of second chance and other fun tropes! I’d definitely recommend this one!

I really liked the found family aspect of this book. After people from Trently didn't treat her right, she started her new little family with Rosie, her aunts and the dogs. I liked Ella's battle with not liking but still loving her mother. Her struggle with accepting who her mother was, made me deeply sympathise with her.
Jake's developement arc made sense. It felt natural, something actually realistic. His bond with the team and how he took on coaching was really heartwarming.
This book had some really funny moments that had me laughing out loud. Jake and Ella's banter was really witty and well written.

I received an arc from NetGalley and the publisher in exchange for an honest unbiased review

I liked the premise:- Ella, the headteacher of a failing school, threatened with closure, compromises her principles to get Jake Prince, former football player to be the coach.

They have a history of a one night stand - two years earlier - and the main thread of the book is how these two come together, fall in love and have a happy ever after. The vehicle for this journey is the football competition which will allow the new football team to win and in the process allow the hero and the heroine to fight off their Demons, heal their wounds and find their happy ending together..

I understand that this book was written in 2013 and has been updated and given some Taylor Swift references to attract a new audience. I am clearly not that audience since the Taylor Swift references went right over my head however it’s a pleasant and enjoyable romantic read although I didn’t particularly like the historical sex abuse or the woeful and deplorable behaviour of the, horrible villain who had been behaving badly all his life. I felt that this element distracted attention and energy from the relationship between Ella and Jake, which is who I was actually interested in. There were far too many side characters in this short book in whom I had no interest whatsoever.

Amy Andrews is a good romance writer so this is an enjoyable book but I have read much better by her

A small town romance, haunted by her past Elle attempting to save her school and Jake - a down on his luck football player come together.

Working though past traumas, solving both their troubles and sharing some spicy moments together.

An easy quick sports romance

Who are we to fight the alchemy? 🏈

This romance was such an easy read! I loved the mix of characters and their growth on each of their relationships.

Jake & Ella grew up in the same small town with disgraced parents. Both Jake & Ella worked so hard to not be known for what their parents were. Jake ends up in the NFL & Ella becomes a math teacher. The two rekindle their friendship when Ella’s school is in trouble & close to shutting down when NFL star Jake decides to coach the football team.

Based on the title and Travis Kelce reference, I thought this was going to be similar to their story but it was WAY different, but I liked it!

This was such a cute fast paced read that I didn’t want to put down. That being said it took me a couple of chapters to really understand what was going on and when I got into it I was entertained.

I really liked the main characters chemistry and the plot as a whole. If you’re a swiftie, I think you would really enjoy it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood books for the arc of this for my honest review.

This story is based around Ella and Jake, 2 people from a small gossiping town where they were constantly judged on their parents' lifestyles.

They run into each other years down the line when she's the head of a school on the brink of closure, and he is a retired NFL star. Working together to try and save the school leads to more than expected.

It was a nice, easy read, and I would recommend to anyone looking for a smaller story to read.

Based on the title alone, you would think that this book is going to be Taylor Swift style romance with a football player. However, this book is so much better than that!

The chemistry between Ella and Jake is just explosive. I would die for NSFW art of the pool/billiards table scene!! However, there aren't a lot of spicy scenes - but the ones that are there are great!

The secrets and mystery in the book kept me on the edge of my seat and I really enjoyed it!

Jake and Ella grew up in the same small town in Kansas with disgraced parents (his father was the town drunk and her mother was the town prostitute). Each worked hard to handle the insults and be something - Jake becoming a tight-end football player for the NFL and Ella becoming the good girl math teacher. With Jake being 2 years older than Ella, they weren't close in high school.

When Ella's mother dies living her responsible for an unknown teenage brother, Ella learns that the entire town thought that she ran away the high school principal and decides to be a bad girl for one night with Jake who has a womanizing reputation. One night and they never see each other again --

Until 2 years later, when Jake might just become the answer to Ella's troubles -- by coaching a football team at the struggling high school where she is interim principal.

Thank you to Netgalley, the publishers, and Amy Andrews for an ARC of this book!
