Look What You Made Me Do was a quick cue romance but it had it's flaws. I really enjoyed the base story however the writing made it difficult to enjoy fully at times. The same is true for some of the storyline especially those centered around the issues the school was having. However I did like the banter and dynamic between Ella and Jake. It was funny and entertaining but I wished more backstory would have been given. Ella specifically says that Jake kissing her at homecoming was life changing for her, but we never learn why. Was it just because someone saw beyond her Rachel's daughter title or.was it something else. While the story was fun and eventually a quick read it may not be one that I immediately reach to read again

Look What You Made Me Do is a one night stand to lovers, opposites attract, childhood crush, sports (American football) romance. I was thankful for a story with people closer to my age for a change, as most contemporary romances I read now are people in their early twenties. The thirties club is still cool too! There was some sensitive content throughout the book so readers should be aware of those before partaking!
Ella and Jake’s story was full of self-exploration, personal growth, grit, and determination. So much love for their friends and family was poured through the pages and it was beautiful to see so much compassion. I’m a sucker for a good underdog as well, so Deluca High found a soft spot in my heart and took up residence there.
There were quite a few turns of phrase and language choices that just simply wouldn’t be used by an American. A number of them happened during important moments so it caused the flow of the story to be interrupted a fair amount and it fell a bit flat for me.
I did enjoy seeing multiple generations of characters holding such focal roles throughout the story. It lent itself to feeling more developed overall which helped me get past some of the language usages a bit! I also loved seeing a man with emotional intelligence below the age of 40! That’s rare! 🤣

The Look What You Made Me Do is an absolutely captivating read that left me spellbound from beginning to end.

The protagonist, is a beautifully complex character whose journey of self-discovery and courage resonates deeply. Her growth throughout the story is both believable and inspiring, making her a heroine you can’t help but root for. The supporting characters are just as well-crafted, each bringing their own unique charm and depth to the narrative.

The plot is filled with twists and turns that kept me on the edge of my seat. Just when I thought I had figured out what would happen next, the author skillfully surprised me. The themes of friendship, sacrifice, and the fight between good and evil are woven seamlessly into the narrative, adding layers of meaning that will leave readers pondering long after they turn the last page.

Overall, this book is a must-read for fantasy lovers. I can’t wait for the next installment!

The book Look What You Made Me Do by Amy Andrews begins on a sad note with Headteacher Ella Lucas in grief over the demise of her mother, who had a dark past. She's not only in grief but also angry at the people in her town who keep gossiping about her mother and associate her with the dark past. Determined to get rid of it, she moved away, only to come back to her mother's funeral and find out that she had a teenage brother. Similarly, football star Jake Prince also hails from that town, but with a different dark past. They find each other again while both trying to get rid of their dark past, which refuses to go away, no matter what. With their complicated history, a school to save, and the sparks between them, who knows what the future holds? Find this out in the book Look What You Made Me Do by Amy Andrews.

I like Ella and Jake as characters and how strong and determined they are despite their difficult pasts. I additionally like the spirit in the boys and the inner strength they finally find despite their humble backgrounds; they fight very hard for their place in this world, which is a good thing.

I don't like how the beginning of the book seems shallow. Some readers can be put off but will catch up with the momentum later on.

I rate this book, Look What You Made Me Do by Amy Andrews, 4 out of 5 stars for the above reasons.

I recommend it to those readers who love books with immense life lessons. This story is about pulling out of life's unfortunate circumstances that most people find themselves in and deciding to get on top of it all, accepting what cannot be changed, taking the opportunities that the same life presents, and making the best of them.

A small town spicy sports romance is everything I love and this book checked all those boxes. It was well written, the characters were so easy to fall in love with. I also really loved that it focused not just on the relationship between Ella and Jake, but their relationships with other people. Forming those friendships for Jake, and reinforcing the relationships she already had for Ella.

Really cute really quick read that I think anyone who loves sports romance will love.

"**Look What You Made Me Do** by Amy Andrews is an absolute gem! This book was cute, funny, sexy, and emotional all the way through. The characters, especially the side ones, were so interesting and relatable—they really added depth to the story. Plus, the Taylor Swift references sprinkled throughout? Loved it! They made the whole experience even more fun. If you’re a fan of a good, fun romance, this one’s a must-read!"

Look what you made me do is the first book I read by this author.

I enjoyed reading this romance, it was different from the usual sport romance where the MMC saves the FMC or one is the good one and the other is the bad one. In this book the characters are not morally grey but are actually human, they make mistakes, they are arrogant, they have their own opinions and you can easily relate to them. All of the relationships in the book are well written, I enjoyed the family ones the most instead of the actual romance one, I really liked the relationship between the FMC and her brother (I think the angry teenage boy was really well described).

I also liked that the plot was divided between the romance and what else was happening in Ella´s life.: the importane of her job, her past and also her relaltionship with her brother.

Compared to most other romance books, the spice in this one was minimal, the plot was acutally good enough without it.
I wil for sure read other books by this author 😊

Thank you to netgalley and Boldwood publishing for the opportunity to read this eArc in exchange for my honest review.

I love a good sports romance. This one was easy to read and get hooked to the characters. Great growth for all of them as well. I was especially pleased with Ella and Cams growth together and individually. I also appreciated that the Demons weren't magically amazing players they worked hard and won because of that hard work and determination as well as the support from the adults.

If your wanting a quick feel good sports romance I definitely recommend this book! Also there was good spice but thankfully lots of plot too.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for my copy of this e-arc!

At first I was a bit unsure about this book because I thought their connection was going to solely physical which I’m not a big fan of but as the story progressed, I really fell into step with the rhythm of the book and started to thoroughly enjoy what I was reading.

The dynamic was really good and the twist was also something different to what normally happens.

A solid 3.5!!

A small town sports romance, focusing heavily on the repercussions of things in both of the main characters' pasts which still impact them even today. An ex american football player gets called in to help coach a brand new american football team, with the hope of saving the school but will it work?

I enjoyed reading this to be honest! Found it a little slow to pick up at the start but that might have just been me that certain day. An enjoyable read with strong themes of family, friendship, fitting in and doing what is right.

Thank you to Netgalley for providing me with the eARC.

Great chemistry between Ella and Jake while try to save Deluca High!

Ella Lucas never expected to see Jake Prince in Deluca after their one time together when she was back in Trently burying her mother and finding out that she had a teenage brother But Jake was the new owner of her favorite after work bar in Inverboro when she was dealing with the notice that the school board was intending to close Deluca High where she was the principal because of dropping numbers.

Ella needs something to keep the students in school and maybe a football team was the thing but they didn’t have a coach or any players. But maybe Jake could help because he was retired player even though he didn’t want anything to do with football?

I love how Ella and Jake slowly went from enemies to friends during the course of the football season while they tried to save Deluca High.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from the author and NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was the perfect romance summer romance book I loved every second of reading it☀️. Both characters Ella and Jake were very lovable and the book itself was very fast paced and easy to read! It had some great tropes: small town, sports romance and it has spice 🌶️I really enjoyed the humour and definitely had me giggling a few times. I also really enjoyed Amy’s writing style and
I will definitely be reading more of Amy’s books!

3.5 stars!!

tbh this was such a quick read for me, despite it being written in 3rd POV which threw me off, I think this story was cute hehe.
The two characters had a certain depth that made them suit each other so so well, and the understanding and love that surrounded their relationship made my heart so so warm.

This small town sports romance has it all. Pining, tension, and satisfying character development. I thoroughly enjoyed reading about Ella and Jake and their complicated pasts, how they intertwined in more than one way and wound to create something beautiful. At first I took this book to be more light-hearted, but quickly found out there is more than what meets the eye with our main protagonists.

If you're in the mood for a quick, fast paced rom-com to get you out of a funk, I would definitely recommend 'Look What You Made Me Do.' It has the perfect amount of spice and tension, along with plot and character development. Though a little wordy at times, and maybe one two many misunderstandings for me, everything smooths out by the end and I found myself smiling at the pages more than I could count. This is my first book from Amy Andrews and I'll have to keep an eye out for her other works. Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for my ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Easy and quick read. Super contemporary football romance. First book by Amy and probably won’t be the last. Loved how easily the characters flowed together. No cringy, forced conversation which I love. Ella and Jake are super adorable together and love the sparks between them! Friends to lovers is easily one of my favorite troupes.

Thank you net galley for this ARC!

This was your adult take on a sports romance with Jake being a retired football player. I liked the plot of the nerdy math teacher regrettably falling for the ex football star become coach. I think there is a way for a character to be removed from sports and not be degrading but that didn’t happen here. Ella was a very frustrating character because she complained about being judged so much and then judged other people just as hard. She talked about the cheerleaders being total Barbie dolls and how the high school girls were young with great bodies??? Weird.

Also, the stakes were so just so low. I didn’t really care about the characters or their relationship with each other and the chemistry was lacking.

I am not sure why Jake’s relationship with Trish was such a secret, it didn’t have a huge impact when we found out who she was and why he protected her at the end but it was good for his character I suppose.

This book started out strong for me and I really wanted to like it but in the end I felt nothing for the characters.

Firstly, thank you so much for letting me read Look what you made me do.
Ella has become headteacher unexpectedly, however the she received a letter stating the school may be shut down if there is no improvement.
Jake has retired from professional football, and has followed on his father's footsteps and brought a bar.
The idea to make a high-school football team to earn money may just be the link to make deluca high stay open.
