Unfortunately, the market for formula 1 romances is oversaturated, and this wasn't the best of what I've read so far. Still very enjoyable, and a natural chemistry, I didn't find myself caring about the seat troubles or their relationship as much as I would've liked.

Thank you once more for the opportunity to read this book! I'm quite fond of my F1 romance, and I also enjoyed Ella & Blake's story. It's a four-star book in my opinion.

The second book in Carly’s ‘Drive Me’ series was a fun, flirty and enjoyable read. A really well balanced formula of romance and F1 jargon, with cameos from the maiden voyage’s couple throughout.

Our MC’s, Josie and Theo were both sunshine personalities which put a spin on the usual insert of a grumpy character, and I found it really refreshing to have two happy golden retriever type characters up against each other. Their relationship was built on a genuine and nurtured friendship, and was filled with witty banter and some epic chemistry.

I adore books that use music as a communication method, and Carly really nailed this one of the head with the use of playlists between these two. It was something I found so very cute and it had me kicking my feet with glee.

The third act break-up soured this one a little for me as it’s not a trope I’m fond of, but otherwise this was a really well rounded read for me and I’ll definitely keep an eye out for the next book!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for presenting this ARC to me in exchange for an honest review.

Received this book as an arc via NetGalley

Throughly enjoyed this book, loved how it followed on from the first book but you also didn’t need to read the first book to understand what was going on.
Was a great easy F1 romance read with a bit of spice.

My first read from this author and if Drive Me Wild is anything to go by, then Carly Robyn is someone to keep an eye on with this fabulous romcom set in the world of formula one racing. The heroine Josie handles the social media for McAllister Racing where Australian Theo Walker is their number two driver. They’ve had a flirtatious friendship for years but since Josie is a serial relationship type of girl to Theo’s ‘paddock playboy’ persona no lines have ever been crossed but now that Josie is single Theo’s keen to find out if she’s ready to mingle.

There was so much to love about this friends with benefits tale beginning with the hero and heroine, Theo and Josie, their fabulous dynamic, their badinage, sparring and flirting as they would swing from friends to lovers and then back to friendship so smoothly with no drama was a joy to read. The initial friendship between them was something special right from the start even before things got physical or in the words of his best friend and fellow driver, Blake, their situationship - more than friends but less than a couple. The writing had a terrific flow to it and the humour was wicked. There was some angst to overall story involving Theo’s career plans, but it wasn’t anything too heavy and if anything helped Theo realise what was really important to him. I quickly fell in love with Theo, there was something of a golden retriever puppy about him, and I don’t think you’d be able to stay mad at him for too long, especially when he’s ranting at Josie and calls himself her personal pleasure palace, that line did have me laughing aloud. The secondary characters as a whole were engaging and likeable, the kind you’d want to be friends with, and I adored was the bromance between Theo and his fellow driver Blake, they really had each other backs and since Josie was friends with Blake’s girlfriend everything was copacetic. Now I’m off to read the first book in the Drive Me series featuring Blake’s story.

Carly Robyn did not disappoint! I absolutely love a F1 romance and I definitely received reading this. I don’t normally love the best friend to lovers but this person made me love it. This book was the perfect slow burn and was perfectly paced so the romance felt genuine and not rushed. I don’t normally love a third act break up but this one was handled perfectly. Definitely go read Drive me wild!!!

Thank you so much to NetGalley, Michael Joseph and Carly Robyn for sending me an ARC of Drive Me Wild!

Josie Bancroft is newly single and wants to prioritise herself now more than ever, which proves to be more difficult than she expected as a marketing manager for McAllister Racing, all because of a certain flirty driver, Theo Walker. Theo could have any woman he wants, except Josie, she is a relationship girl through and through, he is not, so he's resorted to flirting with her every chance he gets not expecting it to go any further.

After a crazy, passion filled, one night stand together, they both realise they can't get the other out of their heads. Not wanting to jeopardise their strong friendship with each other by forming a relationship they decide to form a mutually beneficial agreement instead by becoming friends with benefits. Neither are after a relationship so it should be fine..right?

Drive Me Wild is the second instalment in Carly Robyn's Drive Me series, where we follow Josie and Theo as they deal with a new team owner and feelings they didn't expect to show up, they both will have to deal with important decisions and chose what is best for them.

I am a sucker for an F1 romance and this was such a good read for me! I absolutely loved Josie and her love for music throughout the book, she was such a 'real' character for me, loved her creative mindset. Theo, the definition of a golden retriever, loved to see a playboy give up his tendencies for a girl he can't get enough of. Really liked seeing the communication between the two characters as well as their relationships with other characters it made them feel more real in a way.

Carly Robyn clearly knows a thing or two about F1 itself, which was great to see the love of the sport put into her writing. I really liked her writing style itself so I definitely plan on reading the first book, as well as hopefully more instalments in the future!

KEY TROPES:
- f1 romance
- friends to lovers
- one night stand
- reformed playboy
- he falls first and hard

Drive Me Wild" is an absolute triumph! Carly Robyn has truly hit it out of the park with this sizzling addition to the Drive Me series. From the very first page, I was hooked, swept away by the magnetic chemistry between Josie and Theo. Their dynamic is like a perfectly tuned engine—full of tension, power, and a little bit of smoke!
Josie Bancroft is such a relatable and refreshing character. Her determination to prioritize herself post-breakup while navigating the whirlwind of Formula 1 is a journey we can all root for. And then there’s Theo Walker—charming, charismatic, and with a smile that could melt glaciers. He’s not just a heartthrob; he’s a complex character grappling with his own struggles, making him all the more endearing.
The slow-burn romance is masterfully done, with a delicious build-up that kept me turning pages late into the night. The witty banter between them is both laugh-out-loud funny and packed with emotional depth, creating moments that had me cheering for them to take that leap from friends to lovers. And let me tell you, when the spice kicks in, it’s absolutely electrifying!
Carly Robyn brilliantly weaves the high-stakes world of Formula 1 with themes of independence and self-discovery, creating a rich backdrop that enhances the story. The forced proximity trope is executed perfectly, adding an extra layer of tension that had me on the edge of my seat.
If you’re a fan of romantic comedies, sports romances, or just looking for a story that has it all—heart, humor, and heat—look no further! "Drive Me Wild" is a must-read that will leave you breathless and wanting more. I’m already counting down the days until the next installment!

4.5⭐️ so grateful to have received an arc ! I enjoyed Drive me Crazy and this was such a fun read!

I loved how Theo was always smitten with Josie, and he would flirt with her and she would just joke about it.. and then boom ! ONS ! 🥵 That was so u expected.

I loved Josie's growth throughout the book, and how explored her birth home (as she was adopted), and how she came into her own career wise. She knew what she wanted and she went for it.

I felt bad for Theo at times, it seemed like his whole world was crumbling around him,and Josie was his constant. Whether they were best friends or not. At times, his behaviour could be considered childish. But you see his chatsycer develop as well.

I enjoyed the pace of this as well, as there was a it of a slow burn to this, but how they fell for each other was chef's kiss.

the epilogue was the cutest thing !

❌️only reasons for the rating
- I didn't like how Josie would use songs every so often...
- Theo is overreact and was a bit selfish in some scenes but you see him grow and think about others.

3.75 stars, arc review. I really enjoyed this one especially the friends to lovers aspect and f1 ofc. It was nice to see both Josie and Theo develop as characters separately and together. Josie’s mum was hilarious as well and I also loved seeing Ella and Blake. Excited for any other books in the series.

I am a sucker for a F1 romance and this was so exception. I loved the best friend to lovers it’s slowly becoming one of my favourite tropes. There was the perfect level of spice for me. Plus as much as it was a slow burn it wasn’t too slow. The spice came in at the perfect moment. I feel like the pace for this book was really good nothing felt rushed or too slow. Also the way the third act breakup was handled I really liked as much as I normally hate third act breakups this one was needed and done at the perfect time.

Firstly, I’d like to say a big thank you to Carly Robyn and NetGalley for proving me with an ARC for this book, I thoroughly enjoyed reading it and I appreciate the opportunity to read this book before it is released!

I have ready many F1 romance books before as I am an avid Formula 1 fan, however, this book is up there on my list of recommendations for F1 romance books! The two characters, Theo and Josie, delve into a friend’s to lovers romance with them both having a rather positive and uplifting character, with lots of spice and humour, making it a really easy, fun read!

I’d like to highlight that this book is a part of a series (Drive Me) however, I read this as a standalone and found no trouble with it at all. I will be giving the first book a read after finishing this one!

This book is perfect for romance fans, and it’s even better for Formula 1 fans 🏎️🏁❤️

I loved this book! This was the first F1 book I’ve read and I’ve really enjoyed it! There was great banter between Josie and Theo and there was some really great chemistry with them too. I really liked Josie’s music aspect as it was really unique and interesting and I liked how caring and compassionate she was too. With Theo I loved the ‘angel’ nickname and some of his lines were so good they had me giggling and kicking my feet.
The reason why it’s not 5 stars is just that it was a bit predictable and there wasn’t that much depth in the storyline. Some people like this, however in my opinion it let the book down ever so slightly. I 100% recommend this book.

Thank you so much to Netgalley and Penguin books for allowing me to read this ARC copy.

♥︎ — first and foremost , id like to say thank you to carly robyn & penguin books for sending me an arc in exchange for my honest review .

♥︎ — i was so excited to receive this arc and found it so easy to sink into and it was enjoyable. i loved the golden retriever personality, as someone who usually likes a bit of grump this was such a sweet read 🤭

♥︎ — I would’ve enjoyed a bit more tension before the friends became lovers , but that’s just on me tbh as i love tension and the trope usually isn’t for me. i felt the relationship was more of an insta love than slow burn but it’s not a bad thing.

♥︎ — i literally screamed at the fact they made eachother playlists because how cute is that. I also found myself giggling at aspects of this book. this was such a fun romance novel to read and i enjoyed it so much!

Having never read an F1 themed novel before, I absolutely devoured this book. I loved the FMC and MMC and their journey warms my heart. Robyn masterfully balances humor, heart, and heat, creating a spicy romantic comedy that keeps readers engaged from start to finish. The chemistry between Josie and Theo is wonderful to read, and their journey from friends to potential lovers is filled with witty banter and emotional depth.

I cannot wait to read the next instalment!
