I enjoyed this rom-com! I really enjoyed Liz & Felix’s characters. It was a really easy read that I would definitely recommend to my friends.
I hadn’t read the previous book but found this could be read as a standalone.

Spicy, adult romcom with lots of angsty reactions to the situation the characters find themselves opened to. The characters have good back story which drives much of the action. If you are going to pick up one night stands in a bar you have to have some expectations things won’t always go quite as intended. But I don’t think you will be able to guess what starts the fights in this story. Humour abounds from that and many family interactions. And although I found much of the cat based shenanigans very funny, the one negative for me in this book is the used more than it needed to be ‘family joke’ about pussy and a much hated female swear word. Thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

I received a copy of this for my honest review

Our FMC has just had her world shaken. She found out the man who raised her is in fact not her father - and that her inheritance is now not hers. But instead of wallowing, she decides to spend a year to find out who she really is. Which led her to pursue a masters in graphic design. This in turn led her to getting an internship with her professor as a storyboarder for a new Hollywood movie that got permission to film at Johnson Space Center in Houston (aka NASA). It also just so happens that her newly discovered half sister, is an astronaut. So now she is trying to meet her sister, organically. One night at a bar she strikes up a conversation with a man, our MMC, and they end up getting a hotel room. Our MMC is a Hollywood action hero who is in Texas taking on a new role as a rom-com main male interest. After being blackmailed by a girl he went out with for a while, he is off women - until he sees her in a bar. When back at the hotel things go wrong when they find out the condom has numbing cream. She thinks he has ED and did this on purpose, he doesn't want to take her to the hospital and find out his identity. Except they see each other at work the next day and realize they will be spending some time together. On top of that, because she isn't crew she needs to find a different living arrangement - so the NASA PR manager offers her a condo that isn't being used, too bad his manager also offers him said condo. He is too intrigued by her to leave, and she decides she can use him to get to the astronaut dinner to meet her sister. Will things work out? Or will the secrets they are both holding on to blow up in their faces?

This is book 3 of a series, which I didn’t know before reading. It was fine. I don’t think I missed too much from the previous books, except for cats (or the frequently referred p***ies 🤮). The main character of the book imo is a sphinx named Mike Hunt. Yup. Sooo, you can see the humor and language here. It’s not for everyone. I thought the book was situationally funny, but man, it was unnessarily salty. More of an entertaining story than anything deep. Definitely open door, but nothing extreme. Worth a read from the library if the language isn’t a turn off.

Thank you Boldwood Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

Anyone But The Superstar is the third book in Sara L. Hudson's series. I haven't read the previous parts. When there were side characters in this book, I guessed that these were characters from the previous books, but the book still worked well as a standalone.

"Anne" (real name Liz) and "Johnny" (actually a famous actor Felix) meet in a bar and end up in a very, uh, awkward situation. But hey, they'll never meet again!

But they meet, and on top of that, at work! The situation is weird at first, but Liz and Felix end up becoming friends. And more, but a series of misunderstandings and secrets challenge their true feelings.

I liked this book, especially after the halfway point, the plot was really interesting. The book had a third act breakup and misunderstandings, which I usually hate, but in this book it was resolved in classic way with the Grand Gesture.

The book was entertaining, romantic and spicy. And there was a strange hairless cat named Mike Hunt. I will definitely read Sara L. Hudson's books again!

WHAT TO EXPECT:
* Alpha Hero
* Cowboy who is not a cowboy
* Difficult past
* Dirty talk
* Forced proximity
* Hea
* Miscommunication
* Mistaken identity
* Workplace romance
* One night stand turned more
* Open doors
* Point of view: dual 1st person
* Secret identity
* Slowburn
* Steamy
* Strangers to enemies to friends to lovers
* Third act: break up

At this point where I am a fan and I look forward to every new book by Sara with great enthusiasm, I thought this one wasn't going to surprise me, but I was proven wrong.
.
Sara not only develops an Elizabeth Moore, the youngest of the Moore dynasty, that I wasn't expecting to catch me, she also brings back the characters from one of my favorite series from her, Space. I was ready to return to the NASA space center with an epilogue since the last page of the last book but this is much more.
.
A year ago, when Liz learned the truth about her origin, she decided to distance herself from her family and live as frugally as possible, but when her university professor offered her an internship as his assistant in a new Hollywood movie, what ends making her said yes is that it is inside the NASA space center.
.
Keeping a low profile and traveling with the name Anne, she meets a beautiful stranger and end up so close to the spotligth
.
For Felix Jones this may be the last chance to be taken seriously by Hollywood. After a series of scandalous rumors, his only solution is to remain low profile, with a hat and a beard included until the end of his new romcom movie recording . But when the sexiest and funniest woman sits next to him at the bar he can't resist the idea of wanting to meet her even if it means giving her another name, there can be no harm in chatting a little.
.
But when things get out of control, with a visit to urgent care, a spinx cat and a complete movie set , stranger and unexpected things begin to happen.
.
I loved Liz, and Mike Hunt this time was beside himself with how funny it was, I often found myself saying "what?!" and laughing alone. I would have liked Felix to work a little more for her but the plot was so fun and the story was so entertaining that I can't complain.
.
These are the type of books that continue in your mind and from which you make Pinterest boards and edits while you are waiting for some artist to make illustrations.
.
Thanks to Sara L Hudson, her team and Booldwood Books for give me a copy of this beautiful book in exchange for my honest and voluntary opinion

This is a fun, entertaining, humours read. Felix and Liz are interesting, relatable, complex, wounded, strong, smart, quirky, intriguing, captivating, entertaining characters. I loved spending time with these two. The path to their HEA is not easy but entertaining to read. The secondary characters added to the fabric of the story and my enjoyment. The story is easy to read and get into. This world is so much fun to read and I’m looking forward to reading the other two books in the series.

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Both incognito for very different reasons. One night stand that ends up not happening. Never to meet again they hope. Felix Hollywood film star, Anne runaway society heiress . Issues with workmates, blackmail and family illness all in the mix.
A spicy romance that will elevate your temperature.

Note: I have not read the previous book, so this can easily be read as a stand-alone. (But now I know there are more, you know what I'd be reading!)
A funny, sexy story involving two attractive people, astronauts, family politics, blackmail, and a sphinx cat named Mike Hunt (Yup, she went there!)
And though there aren't loads, the spice scenes there are hot! 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Liz, or Anne as she is known to John, and Felix, or Johnny as Anna/Liz recognises him, meet in a bar, and one thing leads to another, but not quite how they imagine.
Cue an embarrassing moment that comes back to haunt them as they meet again, and one identity is revealed. However, there are still secrets, as the other is still very much under wraps.
There are so many laugh-out-loud moments in this story and that spice I mentioned earlier, and the cat scenes are exquisitely done.
Many thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an ARC.

Another amazing novel by Sara L Hudson! I was laughing from the beginning. Liz has quite the mouth on her, and Felix isn't any better.

The way I stayed cracking up every time they talked about the cat, Mike Hunt. (See what she did there). He was the best side character in the whole book. His shenanigans were over the top!

I was so happy we got to revisit the crew down in Houston and at NASA. What a fun ride!

The spice was off the charts. The banter was consistently hilarious. If you're looking for your next laugh-out-loud rom-com that will also have you fanning yourself, this is the book you've been waiting for!

Such a lovely rom com. Felix and Anne have all serendipitous, hot, embarrassing, hilarious and sweet encounters. The comedy more than makes up for the holding back information trope.i enjoyed every aspect of this book. Great, quick read.

Anyone But The Superstar is a wonderfully entertaining book. Despite a few cheesy moments, the characters' charm and the book's playful storytelling kept me laughing and engaged throughout. Its endearing qualities easily outweighed any minor flaws, making it a highly enjoyable read.

Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood for providing this book, with my honest review below.

Anyone But The Superstar was incredibly funny and heartfelt! Yes it has some corny moments and a little too perfect of a wrap up but I found myself giggling and enjoying the characters way too much to mind.

Anne (really, Liz) has been estranged from her society family for a year trying to find herself and rebuffing her trust fund after her father embezzled her money and justified it by revealing she’s not his biological child. There are no feel goods to this part as her faux dad sounded like a jerk, but her family makes up for it by being funny and lovely. On assignment as an intern for a movie taking place at NASA she runs into the hiding a blackmail plot against him actor Felix who is 100% not realistic only because he’s so perfect. That type of story can go a number of tried ways but add in their banter, a hairless cat with a dirty name (which actually comes off as cute) and Anne/Liz’s foul mouth and we have a unique romance that is funny, sweet, and a standout in the genre!

I absolutely went to look at the other books in this series (though this one can be read as a standalone) to get back to the quirky characters in this one, and can’t wait to keep the story going!

Ebook received for free through NetGalley

I read the first one and the other series a while back but recently read the second in the series so I was really happy to find the third on NetGalley and jumped right into it. I loved the story, love the mixing of the series, and loved it all. Can’t wait for more.

This book was hilarious. I'm a huge fan of this series but I think this one takes the top spot. Liz is an heiress going through somethings and that leads her to a job working behind the scenes on a movie. That's where she runs into Hollywood star, Felix. He has his own issues but that doesn't stop these two from having a hysterical failed meet cute. Seriously, I can't give it away because it's just that good.

As always with this series, Mike Hunt is back but shockingly behaves himself, for the most part. I love how he's always part of the story but it never feels out of place. More romance books need animal sidekicks.

The spice was good and there's a tad of enemies but that disappears quickly. It's more along the lines of strangers to friends to lovers. I loved their little grocery shopping trips and how Liz helped him blend in when out in public. As someone who was forced into a spotlight she didn't want, she really did understand what he was going through.

The plot flowed really well, even though there was a lot going on. Honestly, when I finished the book I couldn't believe it was over! It was that easy to read. If you're a fan of her NASA series you're in for some surprises as well!

I hadn't read the previous books so didn't fully understand the female character's backstory, but I managed to enjoy the story still. The constant pussy puns got tired after the first chapter and made the cat as well as the female character come off as caricatures - I don't think they were necessary. The best thing about the book was the male lead who was really sweet and sexy. The dynamic between the couple was medium-level spicy with a good level of angst that didn't get overkill. Overall an enjoyable quick read.

This was a great book with fun characters, their sense of humor was hilarious! The added "mystery" of the FMC's family also added another layer that I felt made the story less predictable and kept me hooked in. I will definitely be reading the rest of the series!

Thoroughly entertaining and endearing!

Anyone But the Superstar is laugh-out-loud funny and guaranteed to put you in the best mood. Felix Jones and Liz Moore had one of the best “meet cutes” I have ever read, and the book only gets better from there.

I haven’t read her first series, but I am definitely starting it now after meeting all the characters in this book! I also loved that we got lots of Chase, Bell, Thomas, Alice, Mary, Mike Hunt, and King Richard!

Dual POV
Celebrity romance
Hidden identities
NASA setting
The only cats I enjoy reading about
Portuguese speaking hero
Characters from all previous books

Now…. Maybe we get Jack’s book? Because I am intrigued and also don’t want this series to end!

Anyone But The Superstar by Sara L. Hudson is a dual PoV romance that includes a lot of fun lines, frequent use of the word pussy, and managed to make me laugh out loud more often than not.

Liz (Anne) goes into a bar and her conversation is overheard by Johnny (Felix) and when she doesn't immediately recognize his superstar self, he is intrigued. She's more concerned about meeting her just found about half-sister and ends up taking a job on Johnny's film set to meet her casually, hopefully taking the pressure off of the situation. Johnny is trying to grow as an actor and out-grow the not so great reputation he has. Together they make a terrific couple with plenty of banter.

I will admit that the use of pussy makes me cringe, and I am one million percent a cat person! It's just been ingrained as an ugly word to me, but I was able to overcome my own dang self and see how the author used this as a humor device.

Loved the story, the characters and I plan to read the rest of the series.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC. All opinions are my own.

I couldn't put this book down.

I love Ms. Hudson NASA series, and this series has been a fun ride, but this book mixing them together!! Screaming excitement, I was laughing so much throughout the story with all the crazy lovable characters and the insane situations. I was cheering all the way for "Anne and Johnny" but the depth that Ms. Hudson could bring to Felix while introducing him in this story and the deeper thoughts behind what was happening in Liz's mind really brought this story home.
