Plot.
Amber is a rom com writer but goes to her editor with an idea that she wants to write about a murder she is shut down and sent on a writing retreat to France to find inspiration to finish her latest book

This was my first read by portia Macintosh and it won't be my last. It was very fast paced which I love.
The way she describes the scene was so easy for me to visualise I loved the fake dating aspect and was so happy with the ending.
I would recommend this book to all my reader friends

Portia MacIntosh is a favorite author of mine. Her newest book, You Had Me At Chateau, was a great read, as I was expecting.

Portia Macintosh has done it again with another brilliant read. Although I think this may be her best book yet as I loved it from the first page.
Amber was a brilliant character and really relatable and I loved her journey both personally and romantically.
The setting was excellent and I loved her time at the Chateau.
I read this book in a day as I was so invested in the story and just enjoyed the story so much.
An amazing 5 star read and I’m hoping for a sequel to see what happens next for Amber and for to hear more about her family who I just loved.
Thanks to NetGalley, Portia Macintosh and Boldwood Books for an advance copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

This literally was the perfect mix of rom plus com. It was so funny but the chemistry between the main characters was just so good.

I was a bit nervous when reading the description and seeing that this was about a love triangle because I feel like there are times where it’s hard to really feel the connection with the person who gets chosen because there’s also been time spent on someone else. And while there was someone else, there certainly was no denying the connection with the male main character and I loved seeing their interactions.

I didn’t love the typical ‘third act conflict’ but I do think the way it was handled was well done. I also didn’t care for the pre-divorce storyline with Amber’s parents, so those are the reasons this was more of a 4 than a 5 for me. But speaking of her family, I could not be more obsessed with Tom. Their sibling relationship was literally perfection, I loved that they were genuinely friends and just so good to each other.

Another win by Portia MacIntosh. Read this book. I’m ready to go to a ski resort now, or at least to France to eat all the bread and cheese.

Thank you to the publisher & NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review an advanced copy of this book! I voluntarily read this book, and all thoughts and opinions are my own.

This was a lovely light romantic story. The main character was sent to a retreat to make her novel more steamy. You had a double love element. Parents threatening to divorce and a handsome influencer. A perfect wet Sunday afternoon read. I loved the pizza restaurant .

Thank you NetGalley and Boldwoods Books for allowing me access to this ebook! You had me at chateau by Portia MacIntosh will be released on Oct 2nd. It's a romantic comedy really funny! Amber Page, the main character is a romantic comedy writer stuck in a creative rut, Amber is thrust into a whimsical writer's retreat in the picturesque French Alps. Here, amidst eccentric fellow writers and a stunning château backdrop, Amber faces the challenge of adding more "spice" to her novels—a task she dreads.
You can only but rooting for the quirky and lovable Amber. The story is filled with witty dialogue, hilarious mishaps, and a love triangle that keeps you guessing. Amber's journey of self-discovery and her interactions with the two captivating men she meets at the retreat makes this book a story that feels fresh and engaging!
