TRIGGER WARNING - BABY LOSS AND EATING DISORDERS
The first thing I want to get out the way is that this book has a stillbirth and the subsequent breakdown of the mother (understandably I may add). There was no trigger warning regarding it, and I found it incredibly difficult and triggering to read; I have lost two children myself, a miscarriage and a stillbirth and it was kind of thrown upon me. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is for that reason.
There is also talk of eating disorders within the book which is mentioned in the acknowledgment at the back with some support groups, but NOTHING for the baby loss which I found really very disappointing.
It was a good book otherwise, well written as always and great to go back to Cornwall to all the familiar faces and as always I enjoy Jo’s style of writing and the descriptions of places and people make it feel real.

Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this arc!

What a good book! I enjoyed this more than I thought I would. This is a first by this author but will not be my last! I read this in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down.

The fourth in the series and it didn’t disappoint. Wendy works in housekeeping and Gary is a nurse in A&E takes the focus in this book although we have other characters from previous books. It’s best to read them in order so you can understand sweat and how some of the characters are where they are. A great book with great characters who by now you feel you know so well. Thanks to Jo and her publisher and I do hope that there is more to come. Thanks also to NetGalley

Back in St Pirans again I’m loving this series of books by Jo Bartlett.
When Wendy starts to feel Jealous of her daughters relationship with her ex husbands new partner Chloe she never expects it to change her life.
Wendy shows how a blended family can become become your biggest supporters.
Danni and Charlie are eagerly waiting for the arrival of their baby and Ester and Joe are about to tie the know.
This book brings us back with a lot of regulars at St Pirans and as always it’s an emotional read. Every book in this series gets better and better.
Thank you NetGalley and Boldwood Books for n ARC of another great read.

Thanks to the publishers and Netgalley for an advance copy of the book in exchange for a review.

Lovely to be back at St Pirans with all our old friends. This is another in the series (4th) but could be read as a standalone. Nice easy read, recommended.

This was a beautifully written story full of love, understanding and forgiveness in what was a very difficult situation that anyone who found themselves would have found difficult if not impossible to come to terms with. I was encapsulated by the story of Wendy and young Chloe and the love and understanding that ensued. This was a very poignant and touching read which made for a real page turner.

The gang at St Pirans hospital are back.
Danni is pregnant with her first child. Wendy is still reeling from the fact her wayward ex husband is going to be a father and to top things off his girlfriend is muscling in on her daughters .
She’s feeling jealous and she didn’t like Chloe the new girlfriend u til she meets her at the hospital in a vulnerable state and when Chloe opens up to Wendy she sees a very fragile young woman with no family support and when a tragedy occurs and the chips are down she can’t abandon Chloe in her hour of need.
Very emotional book and extremely sympathetically written.
Loving this series and looking forward to the next visit.

Good story!

We're back to check in for another installment at the Cornish Country Hospital! We're happy to be greeted by nurses and doctors who we've met on prior visits, and hear about what's going on in their lives. Aidan is getting ready to become a father, Danni and Charlie are expecting a little boy any day now, and we've got an invite to Esther and Joe's wedding! It's nice to find out that Wendy and Gary are doing well, and that Mike is in a relationship with Chloe, who seems to adore Wendy's girls, which is always a bonus.

So, now that you're up to date, I can tell you that each of the items of note above will lead to much deeper storylines. Some are joyful, some are sad and others scary. But as always, the staff and friends at the hospital band together to support each other. I hope there will be another book in this series!

Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.

What a gem Jo Bartlett wrote . One more great book of the series . Danni is working while she is pregnant and she waiting the arrival of her baby boy to complete her life with Charlie . Esther is getting ready to marry Joe . Wendy is happy with Garry but she is jealous of the new pregnant girlfriend of her ex husband Chloe and how much her two daughters prefer to spent time with her than with their own mother . But when Chloe is having trouble with her pregnancy she is the one who will help her .
A book about the undying love a mother has for her children and forgiveness .
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publicer as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Jo Bartlett never lets me down, a wonderful writer who draws you in tight and keeps you right up to the end, and then leaves you wanting even more!

Another brilliant instalment in the heartwarming Cornish country hospital series, this book is centred this time on Wendy, her daughters, partner, ex-husband Mike and his girlfriend Chloe who is expecting a baby. Follow Wendy's sometimes emotional journey,

You will laugh, cry and meet many wonderful characters and just love this book!

I received a free copy of, Lessons in Love at the Cornish Country Hospital, by Jo Bartlett, from the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is book four of four in The Cornish Country Hospital series. Wendy Tyler husband cheated on her and got his affair partner Chloe, knocked up. I did not care for Chloe at all, Wendy was lovely though.

This is such an awesome series and this was another fantastic addition to it. This time we go through Danni's pregnancy with her, and watch a surprising friendship develop between Wendy and Chloe (Mike's new girlfriend). As usual, there's lots of love and laughter, as well as a few truly difficult and hair-raising moments, all dealt with beautifully with Jo's outstanding writing. My only complaint ... we didn't really find out much about Aiden and Jase's surrogate pregnancy journey! And I'm dying to see those two become parents! Anyway, it was great to catch up with the rest of the gang too and I can't wait for the next installment.
Thanks to Netgalley, Boldwood Books and Jo Bartlett for a free ARC in exchange for an honest review.

JO Bartlett does it again, another great read in another great series. I loved Jo's Midwife series and now I love the Hospital series. All the characters are so likeable and relatable and there is a great connection. I raced through this in a weekend, it was like a warm cosy hug for the soul.

Not my usual genre but I thoroughly enjoyed this book even though I haven't read the previous ones in this series.

I soon got involved with the characters which made it an enjoyable experience and I can thoroughly recommend this book.

Thank you to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for this ARC.

The fourth in the series set in beautiful Cornwall. Once again Jo isn’t afraid to tackle issues which include eating disorders and baby loss. Lovely to catch up with familiar faces.

This is the fourth book in the ‘Cornish Country Hospital’ series.
This book is about motherhood, step motherhood, family and friend relationships.
I have never read a book by this author before so was apprehensive reading the fourth in the series, but I did not feel like I missed anything from the previous books, or confusion.
I loved the characters and felt like I was living in the book.
Very emotional and I was gripped the whole way through, such a heartwarming nov- also heart stopping in places!

Oh wow this book had all the emotions from happy, love, crying like a baby, sad and joy.
I haven't been able to put this one down.
To be honest it had a slow start in the way some amazing ones do with the reader not knowing which way the story is going to happen. But in the end it didn't disappoint. It is such a lovely story and makes your heart feel warm and fuzzy till the absolute heart breaking part that had me crying so much I had to put it down for a few minutes as couldn't see the words. But so glad it had a happy ending.
You can feel the love pouring out of this book from beginning to end.
