Unfortunately, I could not get into this novel at all ! Not only did I find the writing style unpleasant, with comments/thoughts in italics when the text is in the first person; but also the characters felt unreal and I could not take them seriously: a professional spy breaking all rules for his "love", and taking reckless risks to be with her... Too much telling as opposed to showing overwhelmed the story with too many clichés.
